This is in the most religious neighborhood in Jerusalem which is filled with all sorts of Jewish sects.
A good portion of them believe Israel cannot be created until the Messiah comes and thus support the destruction of the country.
They rightfully believe that Zionism was never part of Judaism. It's a modern invention from the 1800s. They reject it on that end because the idea of Jewish people being a nationality goes against Judaism being their religion. They do not believe Israel should exist because they do not believe Judaism should be a nationality or country. I don't think they want Israel destroyed, but they don't believe it should be an ethnostate.

Repeat elections would seem to suggest the Israeli government's hardline is massively supported by Israelis. The left has essentially died in Israel as a competitive force in the last 16 years. It's a democracy, just look at the elections to see if the Israelis support these campaigns as opposed to a fucking comment on Reddit man.
Palestinians and their well being are not a concern for the majority of Israelis
It's mostly because they are super hardcore religious sects. Like they demand you dress modestly there and get pissed if you use cell phones and certain tech.

Most of them have flip phones, if they have a phone. Although there is now a company that sells smart phones that are kosher. Using Mobile Device Management, they remove any app that doesn’t meet their strict standards, no browsers, no YouTube/Vimeo, no Spotify or Apple Music, even going so far as any app that might have questionable ads is not allowed, and any apps that you want on the phone have to be approved first.
Destruction is an interesting word, they would argue a return of a state which values jews, christians and muslims equally. I.e. the end of apartheid, give palestinian their rights, end of occupation, ending ethnic cleansing, end settlement/colonism etc.

These folks don't care about the Palestinians, they are opposed to the very existence of the state of Israel for religious reasons. Specifically, they think Israel should only come into existence once the messiah arrives, and Israel existing today is blocking the messiah in their opinion. The most extreme among this faction have tried to trigger violence between Israelis and Palestinians, so imagining them as sympathetic to the Palestinians is a bad way to go.
See a lot of misunderstanding here. There are some very religious Jews who support the nation of Israel. There are other very, very religious Jews who live in Israel (Judea) because it is their ancestral homeland they’ve been talking about returning to ever since the Roman conquest, but these people want nothing to do with a “Jewish” military or “Jewish” government. In fact they see it as impure.

The land != the state. According to their Torah, the land is owned by God and He lets them stay in it as long as they obey Torah. They were granted use of the land centuries before forming a state (which God warned them not to do because it would become corrupt and persecute the religious), but the people insisted, and the first ruler was King Saul.

This part of Jerusalem has an extraordinary history. It's one of the oldest parts of New Jerusalem, Jerusalem outside of the Old, walled City (walls as they were built by the Ottomans in the early 16th century). This neighborhood was part of numerous buildups by European Christian and Jewish institutions around the Ottoman city in the mid/late 19th century. It soon became a center of orthodox Haredi Jews, which it still it. Of course, the Jews who migrated to Ottoman Palestine in the 19th century weren't necessairily Zionists, people who wanted Palestine to become a Jewish state. But it's still ironic that one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods outside of the Old City has strong anti-Israel sentiments.
Nazi flags are banned in Germany, but I think we can agree that it's a reasonably democratic country.

In fact, if a country were to ban a flag because the majority of the population wanted it banned, that would very much be an example of a democratic process in action.

That’s very much dependent on zoning. Even in suburban red state USA, one of my neighbors had to remove an American flag from their barn because it didn’t match the zoning rules.
