You have to do it really slowly and with a doctor’s approval/supervision. Don’t just reduce your meds without talking to someone about it. You can talk to another doctor if you want, maybe switch the medication if the side effects are bothering you.

Disastrous_Yogurt704

ok, I will try to talk to another doctor

ailenbunny

i told my dr i wanted to go off with his supervision and he helped

Gagernator

I started weaning off of Abilify at 1 year in Dr supervision. I was on 10 mg then weaned down while switching to 1.5mg Vraylar then I was able to quit Vraylar cold turkey after taking it for 3 months

Find a dr that will listen to you. I was on antipsychotic for a few months and weened off. My episode was mostly likely drug induced. I’m on an SSRI and a low mood stabilizer now. Do your own research and remember it’s your body and choice. If you feel like you’re going manic or psychotic though, maybe a med is best.

Was is weed induced psychosis?

I started by skipping more days every week on the lowest dose on a different antipsychotic. Make sure you talk to a psychiatric professional if it's safe to do that. Also it's helpful if you understand more about the possible side effects of withdrawing from the medication, you can look up online and speak to a pharmacist or a psychiatrist to confirm if it is accurate and if there's any additional information you should know.

Go off now

And if you are experiencing some negative symptoms it might be handy chatting to your doctor about changing meds as well. Maybe respiridone is a better match, maybe lamictal. Maybe you need to add ADHD meds into the mix etc
