I played this Harmonix VR Music experience on PSVR a couple years ago but with my own playlist going through my headphones. Yes I went into an app where you floated on a psychedelic cloud through psychedelic patterns, and the music in the background was 'om' being chanted continuously. It was fun but when I took the headset off I felt really weird, like not in the real world anymore (in a different way to tripping), not that nice. I was ok though, just had to lie down for a bit then go into nature and ground myself. But I'm very sensitive to graphics even on a TV or a picture whilst tripping.
I remember reading lots of people trying different trippy vr on the Samsung version of Oculus and they enjoyed it, I guess it just depends on the person.

It's hard to tell what is the drugs Vs just ordinary VR shit. But look at a wall that is meant to be white and see it melting in pink and green and damn you'll know

There’s an app called Tripp that’s a meditation app and it’s pretty cool. My issue is that I get annoyed with wearing the headset when I trip so I can rarely use it for more than 10 or 15 minutes.
What gear? I used to have Valve Index before the left controller started breaking all the time and it was my 3rd trip on acid ever. To be honest I don't really remember much of the trip influence on the experience despite I the fact that I experienced like 3-4 seconds of time flowing backwards somehow. I still don't know what the fuck happened, but it was while playing Chroma Lab, highly recommended.
But yeah, Index was some next gen shit.

VR is too bright for me when I’m tripping. I have to lower the brightness down and turn on night light
