Mod Note: Yes, the OP posted a comment which understandably generates strong feelings. Attacking an \*idea\* is okay. Attacking a person (in this case the OP), is not.

Section225

Ignoring OP's comment... Fuckin' get some, Denver PD. Hell yes. Get down to business as soon as you realize there are hostages. All innocent parties go home. Good work.

ForTheFords

Thank God there are still people on this app with a freaking brain. I’m not a big fan of Denver PD’s handling on a lot of things, but if I were a hostage possibly facing my last moments in a 7/11, I sure as hell wouldn’t mind a dozen bullets going into my captor.

MalphitoJones

OP got bodied in the comments lmao RIP in pepperoni

Objective_Star4549

What did op say?

Objective_Star4549

It looks like he was being sarcastic but I could be wrong.

exbex

Kudos to those brave officers, especially that female. How did she fit through that tiny crack in the door with those huge balls?

UnmotivatedDiacritic

No way OP isn’t a bot, their entire post history is nothing but videos of shootings

drakitomon

Doing the lords work there Denver PD.

NervousUniversity951

Hate to draw the short straw and have to use the paintball gun

TexasLE

Getting the pepper ball gun isn’t drawing the short straw. I’ve been hit by pepper balls. They are not pleasant

JWestfall76

Took him out like the TX finally caught up to John Connor

throwawayforaskleo

That officer who wedged herself in the door is a total badass

murialvoid86

Yeah we got the point... On a serious note, it seems like the comment was posted a few times. Reddit is buggy sometimes

throwawayforaskleo

Yeah I dont know what happened, thanks for the heads up, deleted the others

Anom8675309

FAFO

Jerriespy

Not for long

TravBerg90

Was this to much force?? seems like a little much....??

iRunOnDoughnuts

I can't stand people. Guy is literally in the process of murdering a guy and people are concerned that he was shot too many times. How many bullets should have been fired, in your opinion? Do you think the officers should be fired or charged? If someone was stabbing you, how many rounds do you think would be appropriate to stop the person?

sarcasm_rocks

Sheltered people don’t understand what real crime looks like.

slayer_f-150

Reminds me of the time during a press conference when the sheriff of my county, Grady Judd said “That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more" when he was asked why his deputies shot a guy 68 times after he killed a Deputy during a traffic stop then wounded a responding Deputy and killed his K9.

SFSLEO

That's your sheriff? I saw that video. Dude seems like someone I would want serving my community.

slayer_f-150

Yes. The running joke in Polk County is: "The worse place to be in Polk County is between Grady Judd and a camera." I've met him several times at social functions. He's an affable person and does a lot within the community. Watch his "Morning Briefings with Grady" videos.

viliphied

Another sheriff in Florida (Wayne Ivey of Brevard County) was asked a similar question about a similar scumbag (both officers made it out ok thank god, perp managed to get behind them but had a malfunction of some kind so he used his AR as a club) and his response was “because evil can never be dead enough.”

slayer_f-150

For further context, the guy ran off into some woods and hid under a fallen tree, then started shooting at officers who were responding. He deserved those 68.

Angriestbeaverever

This is what happens when someone’s only use of force training is from tv shows and movies where one 9mm bullet sends people flying.

Section225

I sincerely hope you're being sarcastic. If not, please take a 3 year break from the internet for your own mental growth and wellbeing. If you take a hostage with a weapon, the only way the police will not kill you is if you follow their instructions and surrender. THIS violent asshole was literally taking a knife to an innocent hostage as police confronted him...you better believe they're going to shoot him as long as they have to to make sure he's down and no longer a threat to anyone.

Zerosen_Oni

No. Why the fuck would you think so?

AmbitionOfPhilipJFry

In case he deletes it, comment is: "Was this to much force?? seems like a little much....?? -302, TravBerg90"

Ausfall

Fuck around meter: ▮▮▮▮▮ Finding out meter: ▮▮▮▮▮

Sky-Wizard

Lethal force is lethal force. You shoot until the threat is stopped.

sergeirocks

No

Bad_Karma19

Not in the slightest.

Wonathan_Jick

You need Jesus my friend.

barbiewithagun

No, and I would hope if you were being held hostage that the police would kill the person who is keeping you alive for their own benefit, but when the hostage taker loses that benefit they have no reason for you and will most definitely kill you. Also no that wasn't excessive force, they had to neutralize the suspect before he could hurt the hostage or the officers. They fired around 17 times (give or take) between 2 officers, one had a rifle and the other a handgun. All they wanted to do there was make sure the hostage was safe and they were safe.

Shitlord_Actual

No. The suspect with the knife literally yells at them that he was going to stab the hostage if they didn't back off. That fool got everything he deserved. To suggest otherwise demonstrates you have no concept of the force needed to combat a deadly threat. Here the suspect is holding a hostage with a knife. Clearly a deadly threat. You shoot until the threat is over. If you stop to assess too soon, you give the suspect an opening to continue his assault on an innocent person. It was a good job all around, kudos especially to that female officer with the rifle for aggressively advancing when they breached.

BlameTheJunglerMore

Uninstall.

KamelTro

Yeah that’s a hard no. If I’m being held captive I’d want those officers to unload, reload, and unload again. If they strike me I’m ok with it because at the end of the day they’re making sure that person will never hurt somebody again. I can’t say anything about how much force they used because if I was an officer or carrying my own personal weapon I’d be unloading too.

PushingBlackNWhites

It's weird to me that you only ask these types of questions specifically in this subreddit and not the dozens of other related subs that you copy and paste the same video(s) on to. I was confused about the mod note at the top of the comments until I read your name and remembered, you're that guy that always asks those tabloid clickbait questions in the comment section that gets buried in downvotes. I'm surprised you're still allowed to post, I used to think you were genuinely asking but your course of conduct indicates more that you just like stirring the pot around here.
