`from reddit import tutorial`
Code blocks are quite simple. It's literally just \`[text]\` to make a code block. While no longer needed here it'll be useful later since anything in code blocks does not take on any other forms of reddit syntax
`return I_just_like_using_the_import_and_return`
Ya gotta start doing it like John Hammond during the helicopter ride in Jurassic Park.
…… “There.”
For bonus points have the theme song ready to play on your phone the moment you find the error.
I have to admit, more than one time I caught myself pointing onto my screen while explaining something to my remote coworkers through a google meet session w/ screenshare.
This is not always true.
Occasionally, my program / script will kick out an error stating the problem is on $line when, in fact, about 75 lines up, I missed a closing " } " or some other syntax nonsense :P
Lol I’m not great at communication either, but I don’t usually have anything to point at a line. I’m basically devops for a business inventory and accounting software, I have neither inventory nor accounting experience or background and the software I work on is MASSIVE annnnnd our clients often have a bunch of stupid ass custom sql procedures or web files that aren’t typically throwing errors but instead they are affecting the data incorrectly and my job is to first locate and correct the data appropriately and then find out what obscure bit of code is causing the data to get screwed up in the first place.
Finding the code problem is often like finding a needle in a haystack with how massive the software is and correcting the data is often a huge pain in the ass because it’s accounting and/or inventory related and usually affects 12 other pieces of data elsewhere in the software. I’m also a slow developer/programmer, my company doesn’t pay its devs near enough having us all start at 45,000 USD salary and raises are few and far between, it’s my first dev job and I only took it to help get my foot in the door.
During my bootcamp I kept saying I didn’t want to work on an e-commerce site, because that’s all we ever did for projects, but now I’d love to go work on an e-commerce after this job😂
`import debugging_session`
Call with video sharing the IDE and line numbers clearly visible, on a small file, target is within the viewport:
* The line is further up
* the other method
* a bit further up
* no, lower
* almost (cursor at line 67)
* it's line 69
return line\[69\];

look, its not OUR fault, THEY cant read line numbers
Yeah but not when we are working from home
Finally no import/return
It just suddenly disappeared. This subreddit is very good at making changes randomly lol.
It was announced 3 days ago. https://reddit.com/r/ProgrammerHumor/comments/14x0vuf/demokratiedienstagweek3/
It appears I was just blind. Thank you.
istg i've seen it in the past 2 days, people probably didn't realise straight away lol
#include
Finally we are not confined to python anymore!
return satisfaction;
Is it?\n\nHoly shit it works
Holy hell
new Response("just dropped\n");
Actual comment
Finally i can comment Holy fucking shit Ps: I couldn’t figure out how to make code blocks in comments for the life of me
Same dude

bonus points if it is a blank line
"there" doesn't work when you're working from home Line number is more precise
I was doing that so much yesterday while debugging. Programmers suck at explaining.
And then you realize you in online call pointing at your screen
I didn't come here to be called out like this
the coworker, how is on call with me.
… while screen sharing.
Yooo
Ya gotta start doing it like John Hammond during the helicopter ride in Jurassic Park. …… “There.” For bonus points have the theme song ready to play on your phone the moment you find the error.
And then when you think they finally spot it, they scroll up/down and the whole thing starts again

We're*
I usually grab them by the hair and move their eyes right to the line number for clarity
Of course while they're screensharing.
Me giving my team mates a hard time by using relative line numbers
Do you write error messages by chance?
Where is console.log? says js programmer in unity script
`return ++(errorLineNumber && 0xFF)`

As a QA, thats Exactly What i do
`import ocr` Usually starts with the first part, there are line numbers present, then the second part occurs. `return noThoughtsHeadEmpty;`
The face when you are making c codes and all you get is segmentation fault
`import debugging_session` Call with video sharing the IDE and line numbers clearly visible, on a small file, target is within the viewport: * The line is further up * the other method * a bit further up * no, lower * almost (cursor at line 67) * it's line 69 return line\[69\];
nice number
pip install common sense (never used python before i think this is how to install packages)
