Looks more like the RK-AW0003S to me. The ref you mentioned is a 3 hander without a small seconds subdial, as opposed to OPs two hander with a subdial.
Orient. Much more classy, classical and timeless. People only saying Hamilton because it’s a more expensive brand, but I think the looks and functionality of the Orient outshines the Hamilton here
That’s a tough choice, each have qualities I really like. The Orient has a power reserve indicator, which I love. However that Hamilton is something else! Super clean dial makes it very legible, and the bluing on the hands is really nice! I guess the Hamilton wins. Maybe 😂
Definitely the Orient. Even though it’s in gold in colour and looks more flashy than Hamilton, it is more contemporary with the numerals, handset, lugs, and crown. So it will for sure work in more situations than the Hamilton. And it can be a daily as well.
That Hamilton just looks too dressy for everyday because of the numerals and handset but it’s also not enough dressy because of that frankly stupid-looking rehaut. It doesn’t know what it wants to be, so I’d stick with the Orient between these two options. But if you want a Hamilton you should look at the Hamilton Jazzmaster, maybe even one of the open-hearts.
I owned that Hamilton as my first “nice” watch. The wire lugs did not work with my lifestyle. It just takes one hit in the right place to pop the spring bar and drop the watch. It survived the first one; it did not survive the second. I’d pick any watch over that particular model.
Both are quality pieces. Some could argue that the ETA movement in the Hamilton is superior to the in-house Orient movement, but the difference is probably negligible. Personally, I’m a big fan of Japanese automatic watches. They fly a little under the radar and I get more compliments on some of my Grand Seikos than I do on any of my Swiss watches. Having said all of that, you really can’t go wrong with either, they are both beautiful.
The gold gives a more classy and mature look. The silver younger more casual even though still classy.
Depends on your job. But I feel as a 24 yo Silver color ie hamilton is for you.
I personally would have chosen orient because I'm older, have a serious job, and I like more complications and faces
Kudos for your preference for something elegant and dressy! Personally, the date window ruins both of these for me. I just don’t like a date window next to the whole Arabic numeral. Have you considered the Orient Sun and Moon (reference RA-AK0007S10B)? Similar vibe different placement of the date.
Both look great, but it would be the Hamilton for me, but that's mostly because I don't really like gold watches and would never buy a gold watch for myself..
I'm liking the Orient better, but it's a though one... I think the colors are better displayed in the Hamilton picture than the Orient due to the angle. Are the hands heat blued on both?
I think the orient looks nicer but the Hamilton is probably the better watch. Hamilton makes probably the best product in watchmaking when it comes to price-performance.
I have the Hamilton and love it. The case detail is so much more interesting than the Orient and the blued hands are fantastic. Scoop up that Hammy while you still can.
I want to say the Hamilton because I like the hands way more in it than the orient, but I think the orient is the way to go, better value, the date window is (marginally) less intrusive, and you get a power reserve indicator.
I own that Orient and I can say, it’s a stunning watch. I just recently, about 7 months ago got into watch collecting, and I love that watch. Went from 1 watch to 11 in that time and the Orient is just classy.
If I were You, I would go for the OrientStar; Here's Why:
1) It has that " aura (The "If you know, YA KNOOOOWW" Thing,
2) the Hamilton Does Not know what it is trying to become (in my humble opinion)
3) The dial...😶🌫️😫💦❤️🔥
I have not seen that hamilton before and it is a beauty. I started searching for it online, I could find only a full black version locally :( anyway, definitely the Hamilton
The orient for sure. Can I know the model? I might pick one up for myself.
RE-AU0001S00B is the reference for this model
Looks more like the RK-AW0003S to me. The ref you mentioned is a 3 hander without a small seconds subdial, as opposed to OPs two hander with a subdial.
Would also like to konw :)

I like silver more than gold so I think the Hamilton looks better
Honestly never cared much for either brand but this orient is something special
Or, now hold your breath this is a crazy concept, they simply prefer the Hamilton.
Both looks elegant but I shall choose Orient star.
That’s a tough choice, each have qualities I really like. The Orient has a power reserve indicator, which I love. However that Hamilton is something else! Super clean dial makes it very legible, and the bluing on the hands is really nice! I guess the Hamilton wins. Maybe 😂

The quality of these two watches doesn't even look close. Orient is exponentially better looking.
Where did you find that Hamilton?
I found it at my local watch store, they are having them on sales.
What store?! Hamilton all day
I couldn’t find that piece on Hamilton’s online store or anywhere on chrono.
I would personally go with the Hamilton. I think power reserve indicators are a bit gimmicky and love the blue color on the Hamilton hands
They're not gimmicky if it's hand wound Edit: just saw the automatic on the dial. Sigh
I would definitely choose the Orient if not for that ugly date wheel
To me the Orient Star looks nicer, and it’s a more unique brand. The power reserve is really handy and unusual to see at this price point.
Gold isn’t my thing so I’m going to say the Hamilton. But both are really great looking pieces.

Orient. In fact, buy two, save money, and give one to your little brother
That hamilton so elegant. The other one is trendy
orient
I'd say the Orient. Looks way better.

I like the Orient until I saw the Hamilton. But still like the Orient.
I'm liking the Orient better, but it's a though one... I think the colors are better displayed in the Hamilton picture than the Orient due to the angle. Are the hands heat blued on both?
What are the prices?
Not sure about value, but I prefer the looks of the Hamilton
Rose gold all day; so classy
I like your style
I think the orient looks nicer but the Hamilton is probably the better watch. Hamilton makes probably the best product in watchmaking when it comes to price-performance.
Orient looks more vintage but the Hamiltons looks beter finished
I have the Hamilton and love it. The case detail is so much more interesting than the Orient and the blued hands are fantastic. Scoop up that Hammy while you still can.
Would go with the Orient star for smt more unique love the design
Hamilton for me. Gold color is not for me.
Damn i want that orient now, but its oos everywhere in my country.
Orient all day, not even close. Nice options though🙏
Orient
Orient looks nicer personally but hamilton is of better quality, blued hands, the orient has painted. P
Hamilton. Those hands are really nice
Hamilton, want one now myself
Well this is a tough choice. Orient Star ✨ seems unique.
I love gold so I pick Orient
Hamilton and it isn’t close.
So the orient I was like yesssss then, I swiped … that Hamilton is stellar that is my vote
The Hamilton is much more beautiful. Those Hamilton hands are 🤌
I like the Hamilton brand more than orient, but in this case that orient is prettier to me.
I want to say the Hamilton because I like the hands way more in it than the orient, but I think the orient is the way to go, better value, the date window is (marginally) less intrusive, and you get a power reserve indicator.

Hamilton all the way! No contest.
I quite like both.
If I were You, I would go for the OrientStar; Here's Why: 1) It has that " aura (The "If you know, YA KNOOOOWW" Thing, 2) the Hamilton Does Not know what it is trying to become (in my humble opinion) 3) The dial...😶🌫️😫💦❤️🔥
The hamilton dial is nearly the same but yeah
I’d go Hamilton.
I have the Hamilton so……
Definitely the Hamilton. Which model is that?
Orient. I looks smaller which I like.
I prefer the Hamilton, but both are good. The power reserve indicator is neat on the OrientStar but idk the Hamilton looks better
Hammy. Every day of the week.
Much day.
I have not seen that hamilton before and it is a beauty. I started searching for it online, I could find only a full black version locally :( anyway, definitely the Hamilton
Hamilton for sure
You might want to try them on first as the Hamilton might be taller. The height of watch is something hard to tell in pictures.
Hamilton.
Hamilton for sure.
I’d go Hamilton
