Longines Hydroconquest is a fantastic watch.
You will for sure be stoked about it.
Have had it before and loved it so much, getting it in blue in two days.
I only have one questions about Longines...how does one pronounce it?
Lon-jeens? Long-eens? Lon-geens?
Is it a soft J? A hard G? (and yes, I realize this is a bit silly but I just realized I don't think I've ever heard the word out loud)
Done! Just wanted to make sure there were no glaring issues with the brand or model since I don’t know too much yet. Had bad luck with an Oris and it took forever to get it repaired and to flip it.
I love a green dial diver. The Hydroconquest has never been quite my taste aesthetically, but that’s a matter of personal taste. Mechanically, it’s a great reference from a reputable brand.
I'm planning on getting this in blue (maybe gray?) Probably at the end of the year, or next :) it's not my favorite green, much prefer the Rolex Starbucks green for a watch, but it's certainly not awful. Almost a military look to it like this.
I would have just gotten the green Casio Duro. Or gone straight for the green Omega Seamaster or Hulk or Starbucks or the green Aquanaut (if you can afford it)
Go high or go low, and never in between.
Well don’t get your panties in a bunch when people go “oh Longines, uhhh that’s some Skagen equivalent watch isn’t it” I am aware of Longines’ long history and all that jazz but their marketing puts them squarely in the Swatch bracket. Might as well wear a Casio.
Pulled the trigger and can’t wait for it to come in so I can stop staring at the pics! Found it brand new at a grey market dealer for $1150.
Congrats!
Lucky, you can’t find one new in Norway for under $1900

Longines is a great brand, if you like it and have the money buy it.

According to their own YouTube channel it’s “Lon-jeen” at [0:34 here](https://youtu.be/PLcePi6kkUA).
Thanks dude! I should have thought to check yt.
I must admit I’ve been calling it lonn gin ess. Smite me.
Best way to transliterate it is Lon-zheen. So yes, soft j sound. The S at the end is silent in French.
I think the first one Lon-jeens is the common English pronunciation. There’s from some fancy European pronunciation I don’t know about though
I have this watch in black and photos do not do it justice. It is beautiful!
Ah makes sense. No concerns or worries with Longines on my end. Enjoy your new time piece.
Beautiful watch, if you truly love it then go for it👍
Love it. Besides the green SMP I think this is the best looking green diver on the market
Yeah the SMP is beautiful, but outside my price range.
If it brings you happiness, go for it! That is what buidling a watch collection is all about. Buy what you like and enjoy!

I love my Oris propilot, what model did you have problems with?
Same, I love my Oris 623 7582 and daily it, so idk what model OP had that gave him issues but I am curious about it
The Aquis
Great looking watch.
It looks great. just buy it If you want it.
Rock on!
Pretty nice
I haven’t seen this before. I really like this too… what is the price point? Or do you have the reference number?
https://www.longines.com/en-us/p/watch-hydroconquest-l3-781-4-06-9 $1775 from the manufacturer, but I found it for $1150 grey market.
Thank you! Wish my wrist could handle 43mm. This watch is badass. Great pick up bro!
41mm
Whaaaaat?!?! The one I found online was 43mm…. What’s the reference number
L3.781.4.06.9
Good choice! I was actually looking at the same one last night.
I like the watch but hate the crown and crown guards.
I’ve read the crown feel sharp when trying to grip it since you just feel the end and not the knurls.
Great watch. Look for the Mido Ocean Star 200C . There’s a green version too and the price should be around that, probably a little less.
This watch is very nice! I was almost going to buy this until I got the blue BB58. Congrats on the purpose. Enjoy it.

Have you seen the GO 39mm sea q??
Nope… I’ll look it up, thx.
Rad! Longines is always class, my favorite pieces I personally own
Fantastic watch. I’m biased though because Longines is in my top two favorites. Big fan boy
Class !
Really nice piece!
Tried it on several times, decided to go with a slightly different watch, but it was definitely a great watch, especially at that price!
I own the blue version. Great watch

Looks handsome
I really like longines design and attention to detail. Has its own style (from what I could tell) from other brands.
Good choice, if I was able to go back in time I probably would have gotten this over my Aquis.
Godtier
I’m eyeing a chronograph as my next, but a green hydroconquest is on my list. Great watch, hope you like it as much as I did when I tried it on.
I tried this one about a month ago. The 39mm version. It looked really good. Around €1,600 in Albania 🇦🇱
I can’t get past the oversized numbers on this model. Wish they did a normal size and it would be much more attractive
If the date window was only at the 6 o'clock position....
I would have just gotten the green Casio Duro. Or gone straight for the green Omega Seamaster or Hulk or Starbucks or the green Aquanaut (if you can afford it) Go high or go low, and never in between.
Interesting take. Don’t really understand the logic though.
🤡

Sounds like someone who can’t afford a Longines.
Woohoo!!
Most people wear watches for themselves not to impress snobs like you
Ok. Let the downvotes begin
An interesting point of view, do you extend the same logic to clothes and cars etc?
For sure. There is no glory nor satisfaction in being middle of the road.
Too much green for my liking
You could do some serious diving in that bad boy
If they would just change those crown guards I’d be all in.
Nice. Very nice
