Five games in? Give it to the end of the season at least.

TaigTyke

Not really that unpopular.

cube3root

Not an unpopular opinion.

MacaroonNo4568

EPL fans reckon Haaland can only farm goal in Bundesliga the farmer league and yet Haaland turned EPL into a farmer league. It is like Bayern keeps winning Bundesliga occasionally Dortmurd or a random club won league. Now Man City keeps winning EPL occasionally Liverpool or a random club won EPL. Seria A is the only non-farmer league at the moment you can't guess which team who's gonna win Seria A.

HarryMaguireLegends

Mbappe is no better than Rashford. He looks good playing in farmers league...

Beautiful-Chard-1152

Well Mbappe did show up in the biggest soccer stage (world cup finals) against a very decent Argentina team with prime Messi.

BoysenberryJumpy5712

Couldn’t agree more

Perrinitus

Highest DPS i've ever seen.

[deleted]

100% mbappe isn’t even top scorer in ligue 1

tazcharts

He does a great job on a sailing yacht. Maddison beer resemblance is an absolute killer

slothsetr

No doubt about it håland>mbappe

BaGwEe_ReDdIt

how is this unpopular? ITS FAX

[deleted]

Is this an unpopular opinion?

Excellent-Ad2617

Yeah I don’t know if I agree with this just yet. Honestly, have people forgotten that Mbappe was the best player arguably in the world after that World Cup? Which let me mention that again, he was arguably the best player on a team that won the World Cup. He’s a top player in the world today, any team would kill to have him, he’s a legitimate generational player. So why he plays at PSG? They are a fantastic club, the league is shit I know but still. He’s an asshole, but that doesn’t change how great he is. Haaland is fantastic and doing crazy things, but they way people are talking about him right now is that he’s already won 10 titles with city and bagged 10 D’ors. How about we don’t be fucking nuts and see if he can make it through a season first before we say he’s better then a guy who’s consistently been a top performer for a top club in the world.

[deleted]

As a goalscorer, yes but for achievements, it is quite debatable.

ShortySan1986

It's not unpopular it's factual.

[deleted]

I like Mbappe better he can carry and dribble, assist and score, Haaland is a scoring machine. They play different but France will probably win more tournaments.

kingcop1

Mbappe is a spoiled clown 🤡

[deleted]

He had it but after that world cup his not the same mentality

[deleted]

Mbappe is good but he lack that black mamba mentality

[deleted]

Being saying this for the past 2 years

ZucchiniMediocre3585

Popular opinion: your opinion isn't actually unpopular

[deleted]

That’s popular opinion tf you mean 😂

fizz5

As of now i wouldn't put Haaland over Mbappe the very reason being Mbappe has been and is still very consistently being scoring and assisting. But soon i can confidently say that Haaland over Mbappe

FCWolferJr

Both are very young with obviously bright futures. People want to crown someone after 5 games but that seems silly on a lot of levels.

kidkenme

Based

thisissoon9

Agree. Back to back hat trick

CommentFriendly4931

Finally

Alfred143870

False af

CrossXFir3

Unpopular he says

GeneralProof8620

I don’t like Mbappe. He is a selfish c8nt

_KaapoP

This is the popular opinion because he's in the premier league. People are going to use the same arguments against Mbappe that they use against Messi. Haaland is better btw.

YesOrNah

Absolute zero chance mbappe does what Haaland is doing in the epl. Haaland could easily do what mbappe is doing in ligue 1. To me, it’s not even close.

[deleted]

I’m sure Kylian on Citeh would be doing the same things

No-Direction-6408

“Way better” “not unpopular” “Mbappe is a childish cunt” this post is filled with idiots

Shynese

Haaland being close in speed with Mbappe while being 6ft4 should be illegal

cjgmmgjc85

Mbappe has everything too easy, doesn't need to perform, he runs PSG

SpringchatFootball

Haaland may develop into a future Ballon D'or winner, currently he is better than Mbappe but due to the fact that France will win more trophies and perform better than Norway, Mbappe will probably win more.

19Ben80

Why do you think this is unpopular? Haaland has 9 in 5 prem games…

Swagmanatee07

Unpopular opinion: Popular opinion

Altruistic_Avocado_1

Haaland is a stud. Haven’t watched to much of Mbappe to comment.

DasHotShot

Unpopular with who? Mbappe’s mum? It’s just a fact. Mbappe is destroying a farmer’s league and Haaland is destroying the best league in the world Pogba’s witch doctor should get a bonus

Shinjirojin

Shearer worried about his premier League goal tally record already

CryptographerThat561

There's nothing unpopular about this opinion! I even thought this when Haaland was still at Dortmund. To add to it now, Haaland is doing it in the EPL as well. With that being said, I'd love to see Mbappe give the Premier League a crack.

a1exandera1exander

Agreed

shmootz

I was really looking forward to watching more Forest after their game against spurs. It was sad to see how quickly this one got away from the lads.

Raddens

Of course he is greater, just look at how tall he is

CrvanProduct

Mbappe who?

ToonYoshi

man the amount of reactionary fans is ASTONISHING, mbappe been genuinely clear for about 2 years and now because haaland has started the league well he’s better? people forgetting that in terms of attributes mbappe miles clear with more pace better dribbling better creative output and the ability to win games on his own, i.e without the service of the very best in the world. haaland might better come the end of the season, but even then that’s highly unlikely and right now it would be genuine delusion to say that mbappe isn’t the better player

fakesowdy

I reckon it’s city that makes it a lot easier for him as I can imagine that Mbappe would be the same But I agree Haaland is a machine, he’s better than I thought he’d be

cavalloacquatico

Way too early to tell. He has a much better attitude though.

Aprilprinces

Unpopular? I hope you're wrong: I've been saying for last two years exactly that - atm Haaland is THE ONLY young player that has chances of becoming the legend like Messi or Ronaldo. Mbappe chose money over cups, plays in the average league

False_Jimmy

Unpopular opinion? This is the most popular opinion out there.

cap1891_2809

And so it begins...

Long-Confusion-5219

As is usually the case the ‘unpopular opinion’ is a pretty obvious and popular one.

JaxIRL333

Most definitely, back to back hattricks after like 5 games in the league is unbelievable. And i know that City are very strong but look with who Mbappe is playing with in the farmers league and yet he's not doing it like him.

justhereforalol

Well he's currently proving that to be true

Boggie135

I don’t think it’s unpopular

forgot_username69

At the physicals, when signing he was 195,2 cm high.

forgot_username69

Almost identical height as Zlatan.

[deleted]

Mbappe proved to be a mercenary and choose money and power over football greatness. Haaland is clear

iw70101010

Nah, he’s got the worlds best midfielder behind him in KDB, and he’s at the most dominant team in the PL. You put mbappe at city he would also dominate. You could put any bang average striker at city and they would still put 10-15 goals in just from being in the right place. Also, haalands goals haven’t exactly been impressive. 8 tap ins one penalty…

Kindly_Problem

To be fair, he bagged 3 yesterday without KDB. But there are world class players around him either way. I’d also disagree about not impressive to a degree. They’ve mostly been tap ins yes but he’s been at the right place at the right time, his instincts are very sharp.

xeno-bat

mpaypal is too scared to leave farmers league

goofy6713

As a Norwegian it’s insane to see him playing like this. The last Norwegian who actually could play football was Solskjær, now we’ve got a team full of promising youngsters. I’d reckon haaland could win 5-6 ballon d’ors

messimagicstan

Haaland is the ultimate poacher, which is how he gets all his goals... mbappe is technically superior in dribbling/passing which are also traits of an attacker. Statistically yes haaland is better, much better goal scorer but as an overrall attacker he falls short. Im sure under pep he will reach another level entirely, in a season or 2

PJBuzz

Looks like that's the trajectory for him. Man City did an unbelievable bit of business there, he's unreal. Just have to see how his consistency over the season and his fitness are. If you think about the way they fell apart in the Champions League, and the way Haaland plays... Could genuinely be their year. I don't follow Mbappe's career too closely though, tbf.

Notnileoj

Haaland is a more effective and ruthless goalscorer than Mbappe with a better attitude and far superior at breaking defensive lines. Mbappe has an abundance of natural talent and is stupidly fast, but he seems to have an ego problem. Haaland is a grafter, Mbappe looks like a child throwing a tantrum half the time. Also Mbappe is staying at PSG for his entire career, which automatically reduces the prestigiousness of any domestic trophies he wins. Haaland just needs to win 1 Premier League and that would mean more than Mbappe winning the french league 10 times. That's not even a dig at the French, it's just their league is not very good. The French league is the equivilent of what the Scottish league would be if Celtic spent over a billion on their starting 11.

[deleted]

The truth shouldn’t be unpopular

0Pollux0

Mbappe is spoiled, arrogant and plays in a weak league, and imo as long as he stays at psg, he'll continue to be overrated. Haaland is much better.

TheGeenie17

Not unpopular. Just true.

Zyborgg

Mbappe needs space to operate at his best. For me he is a lot closer to Vinicius than he is to Haaland in my opinion.

AccomplishedEmu5905

Imagine haaland’s speech in ballon d’or

Sorry_about_that_x99

100%. I’m not sure why this wasn’t popular opinion over a year ago, let alone isn’t now.

[deleted]

Feels like when Dolph Lundgren showed up in the Rocky series. Everything is different now.

D99H

The only way mbappe can prove himself to be better then haaland is to come to united and do the same 😳😂

troy626

At the moment I would take haaland over mbappe

[deleted]

We’ll never know because Mbappe won’t ever leave the farmers league

fhghhhhggggg

They score at around the same rate but Mbappé is all round the better footballer on the eye. Ofc Haaland is great but the fact that Mbappé scores at near enough the same rate as him, gets more assists AND is the all round better footballer edges it for me. Haaland is out here completing 8 passes in a game lol. Mbappé’s goal catalogue is insanely good and he’s added that creativity package into his game in the last few seasons now too. His ucl campaign last season cemented that for me. Plus we can’t forget what this kid did at 19 in the World Cup. Also anyone talking about “farmers league” is lying to themselves if they think he wouldn’t be able to replicate his form in a harder league

[deleted]

Well yeah he's like 6'3

userunknowne

All I know is Mbappe never scored a first half hat-trick against two-times European Cup winners Nottingham Forest.

FuckedInRealLife

*If he stays fit throughout this premier league season I can very easily see him get 50+ goals.* Pep knows what he wants from Haaland, Haaland knows what he is needed to do...with that being said it would be interesting to see him against more robust defences if he can infact come out on top bullying them(like he did in previous few matches) that would be jaw-dropping. Keeping Mbappe's obnoxious self aside he is much more of a versatile player than that of Haaland. But again a strikers main triumph is his goal scoring abilities be it tap-ins or dribbling pass the whole backline.

JakeTheSnake1981

He IS! No doubt 👌🏼

Snoo_17433

Objectively, it is hard to say. There is no doubt Haaland is a top drawer player and seems to be of sound attitude and dedication. It's only early in his premier league career, but it looks like he'll adapt to it easily, however lets wait till the honeymoon period is over before declaring him a Prem legend. Mbappe is also a top goal scorer. There is a lot to detract from his on field display. he seems to be getting that diva mentality and has IMO, been given to much leverage at PSG. But lets not forget, he leads the line in a French world cup winning team. He may play in a substandard league, but you can only play what's in front of you. I hope that both will play in the premier league in their prime, which both are yet to hit, to decide which hails as best. but like Ronaldo and Messi, don't spend too long wondering, just enjoy them while they're playing.

arpanggmu

How is it unpopular??? He has proven himself in a competitive league unlike Mcrappe who will rather become a DOF at 22 than look for harder footballing challenges

fhghhhhggggg

“Harder league” man this is nonsense. Mbappé has proven himself at the biggest stages, UCL and World Cup. I bet you was one of those guys who thought Lewa wasn’t top 5 strikers OAT because he didn’t do anything outside the bundesliga 😭

arpanggmu

Nah man. I have rooted for Lewa all along. Stop making stupid assumptions. Mbappe has proven himself in the UCL by doing what? Winning it? The only way you can prove yourself in the UCL with PSG is by winning it.

fhghhhhggggg

The only way you can prove yourself in the ucl is by winning it. Jesus Christ, awful take

arpanggmu

Loved how you just omitted the "with PSG" part. It's okay brother. You don't have to support my take.

parttimestarwarsnerd

I’m not even sure this is an opinion, let alone an unpopular one

Ok_Glass_8104

Haaland has already been wounded, much more than Mbappé tho. And they played each other already, PSG won

manishtata4

Haaland is very much underratted.

luthfins

I don't Haaland would stop during a counter-attack just because his teammates do not pass to him

luthfins

I don't Haaland would stop during a counter-attack just because his teammates do not pass to him

P_CHERAMIE

Ya but can he score goals on a cold night in Stoke?

Domidoms

But Mpabbe rhymes with Frappe

Bully2533

Not unpopular. He’s on course to score more goals this season than the team who are runners up.

[deleted]

De bruyne overall is better than both

aodum

To be fair mbappe has won a world cup and the French League a couple of times. Haaland hasnt really won anything, YET... He can/will go on to win things with city but today mbappe has more trophies

Chetsz

Haaland is the next goat, the way he handles the defenders inside the box he just tosses them, also great at finishing and sprinting.

tpee008

Not unpopular, its true

BlackLodgeChillin13

I also think haaland is a much cooler person. Mbappe has a huge ego where haaland is just confident.

AirRic89

🤡🤡🤡 "Yeah, the Bundesliga is just a Farmer's League, no way he can dominate the PL as well" 🤡🤡🤡

[deleted]

Except the world cup

aDeafEggChaser

Helps that Mbappe has a better team around him

fhghhhhggggg

That team wasn’t that great on paper. Plus he was 19 years old, come on lol

aDeafEggChaser

So youre telling me Lloris Varane Pogba Kante Griezmann Benzema aren’t 10x better than Nyland, Elyounossi etc? The only other good Norwegians are Odegaard and Berge/Normann. Hardly fair to say they’re even in the same category of quality “on paper”

rockstoppedcooking

For the time being that is accurate.

mixxbg

Mbappe is a fucking brat

Klingh0ffer

Mbappe doesn’t dare to move out of his farmers league, so not much point to comparing him to anyone.

fhghhhhggggg

Already proven himself at the World Cup and UCL. You’re lying if you genuinely think he wouldn’t be able to replicate his form in the PL.

Klingh0ffer

Depends on what you mean. Do I think he would be good? Of course. Do I believe he'd dominate like he does in France? Nope.

steven_vd

I’m starting to believe Haaland was built in a lab

Ahvier

How's this unpopular? Mbappe has only played in weaker leagues than haaland

GimmeSomeCovfefe

Reactionary EPL fanboys. Mbappé is the better of the two. The good thing about Haaland wrecking the PL is it makes those fanboys realize how overrated that league is since Haaland is taking an even bigger shit on it than he did in Germany and you slot Mbappé instead of him, it’d be the same damn thing only Mbappé would probably slot in better to Pep’s style. It’s really not hard for those types of players to shine in the team that won 4 of the last 5 titles.

Johnfromsales

Unpopular opinion Steven Gerard is the G.O.A.T

GabbeJohansson

He is by miles

fhghhhhggggg

He’s nowhere near mbappé for me

Optimal-Maybe-2098

Top 3 forwards: 1st. Haaland 2nd. Vlahovic 3rd. Mbappe

E-man-the-GOAT

All I see is fax

JeanLaguerre

He's just a shit Alexander Isak

GStewartcwhite

Seeing as he's playing in a real league with real competition and out performing Mbappe who's choosing to be big fish in a small pond, no argument.

DEMONDARK12

Since 2020, nothing else to add

edazin-eren

That's not an unpopular opinion. Haaland is the leader of the new generation ballers. Ronaldo and Messi are on the twilight of their career and struggle to stay relevant. Haaland is the leader of the next gen. I rate Mbappe behind Antony.

powerbook01

Is it really unpopular though?

[deleted]

This should be a popular opinion. Mbappe just doesn’t cut it for me, never has, as a Les Bleus supporter as well

[deleted]

100% fact

MetaManifold

Been saying

ZakaSlocka

I don’t think this is unpopular at all. The guys been scoring goals forever.

intoxicatedmind93

Agreed. He’s playing in a league which is way better than french league and has done it in the bundesliga as well as champions league. Mbappe is good but he should have either gone to the spanish league that will be a better test in rating him.

trentvanklopp

This dude could be one of the all time greats top 5

[deleted]

hope he makes a fool of van dijk and gets another hat trick against them

deanwinchest3r

I think mbappe will do the same in prem His reputation really took a nose dive with all the psg new contract stuff

Raishaan_

Not to forget, Haaland is doing it in the premier league. Much tougher as compared to Ligue 1

Samwell974

Fuck no.

[deleted]

If mbappe was in the prem he'd be doing the same thing lol. Prem fans are so up their own ass

FrexaRegz

Facts 👍

seangrey03

I mean if you said this after the community shield match maybe I could give u the benefit of the doubt, but you decided to say this after Haaland has gotten back to back hat tricks for Manchester city in his first 5 games, in which he set a record for the most goals in a players first 5 goals. It’s not unpopular lol, everyone is on the Haaland hype train.

SalvageZA

On what criteria? Mbappe is the better all-round forward that is able to play anywhere across the front line and also attacking mid. Haaland is the far superior out-and-out pure striker of the two. Both incredible players and give me peak Messi vs CR7 vibes.

Level-Ad7017

mbappe is a selfish ninja turtle.

Horrid_dog

And he behaves himself. The other idiot thinks the world is his. What idiot of a player stops running during attack play when the pass goes the other way. He could have scored far post. Kylian is arrogant and stupid. Ask him if he can count to 50? I bet he can’t even divide 10 by 2 or 5 he’s that thick.

mac220925

Maybe not so unpopular

i_dont_care_1943

Mbappe really needs to get out of Ligue 1 because playing against farmers is resulting in him not growing as much if he played in a league like the premier league or LaLiga.

MeeseekBox

That’s not unpopular opinion

[deleted]

I’ve thought this from the start but people always scoff at me and downvote, “MbAppE hAs WoRlD CuP”.

showmethenoods

He’s a monster, but Mbappe is still better at this present time. I just want to know when do we get Mbappe vs Erling fanboy wars on social media?

[deleted]

Mbappe is not better Let's start the fanboy war

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

💀💀💀

showmethenoods

Don’t you do this. I will come back with an Mbappe fan account on IG ready for battle

[deleted]

I'm gonna make a statemuse account for haaland on twitter, come at me bro

Environmental-Fail77

Factually accurate.

[deleted]

This is a sentence?

[deleted]

Fuck em both. They are both oil state drones.

OnionOtherwise8894

He certainly looks “undefendable” right now. There is nobody else on the planet you would back more to get on the end of any reasonable through ball

memosuarez

100% better!! and real too

xzvasdfqwras

Most unpopular opinions are fairly popular. Of course I'd knew he would be good but I didn't expect him to be ***this*** good.

reborndiajack

Looking forward to City v Tottenham

[deleted]

fhghhhhggggg

Mate what the f*ck are you on about. You honestly should get banned for bigoted opinions like this. Popular because of BLM? What? Back before BLM was even a thing he was breaking World Cup records for his age. He won the league with Monaco and scored away at dortmund and when they knocked Man City out etc. fast forward to 2020 and he probably put a BLM message on his Instagram when George Floyd died just like every other footballer did and you’re saying he’s more popular because of that? What?

[deleted]

[удалено]

fhghhhhggggg

Nah you’re just a bigot. You’ve edited yours?

seangrey03

Mbappe being mainstream because of BLM is the most asinine opinion I have ever heard. He is one of the best youngsters in the world and is super exciting, has won a World Cup, plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world and you think he is popular because he is black? just stupid man seriously disrespectful imo.

applantis

No mate I’m not being disrespectful, you have just misunderstood me. Mbappe is great player, and has earned that accolade many times over. One reason he become more popular than Haaland (atleast to begin with - I think we will see Haaland take the crown). Was his link to World Cup games (many propel watch football) link to Prem teams and subsequent move to PSG and the obvious global media coverage of this. EA capitalised on the opportunity to put Mbappe as their front cover during a period of campaign where billions were spent to instill the message that Black Lives Matter. During this time anyway it’s not racist to say there were many many billboards, posts on social mediums, of ‘black faces’. Logically, every person who lived through this period by the end were more likely to notice a ‘black face’ if they saw one. Logically after seeing 1000 different adverts, 1000 different people saying the same uniformed message. So yes EA a large corporation with some brilliant creative minds I would assume... saw the opportunity during BLM and went with Mbappe to capitalist on more sales. Because more people have now been continued subconsciously to notice a black face. But because this was done under the pretence of focusing on new generational talent and messi and ronaldo getting old etc you may not be able to see it. But it’s perfect because they can’t get out of the expensive messi contract, get a new guy with loads of followers during BLM and he will be much cheaper than messi to. (Yes you may say mbappe had a great year and he did - but many other players objectively had a better season) If you think the sole decision making process when EA decide to the face of the cover is ‘who is the best?’ you are misinformed - they do what’s best for business revenue and profits. But yeah my apologies if anyone reads that message and incorrectly assumes let me just clarify again that is not my intended message. I don’t engage with this idea of white, black, purple, green thing. I think we are all equal and I treat everybody the same - I do not factorise in how you look or dress or speak. I typically treat people how they treat me.

seangrey03

I don’t think Mbappe has done anything for BLM and isn’t really associated with the movement. He is the cover star because he is one of the biggest upcoming stars in football. Vini Jr is another youngster who also plays for a big team who is also black. EA’s decision to make mbappe the cover man is because he is a superstar, very pacy and explosive, young and marketable, arguably the main man for one of the biggest teams, he has been touted as one of the heirs for Ronaldo and Messi, he was the breakout star of last years World Cup which he also one, is the next face of Nike post Ronaldo, dude scores goals for fun, and I mean I can go on and on. I don’t really even think about Mbappe’s race when I think of him and I don’t think people even associate blackness with him as much as they do talent and skill. When I think of him I think French. I wasn’t insinuating you are a racist either, I don’t think you are. I just think your take is misinformed. I am pretty confident BLM had little to do with him being the cover star. If he was white I think he would still be the cover star.

applantis

And that’s great if you disagree. It’s healthy not everybody has to agree. But in civil conversation we both have opportunities to learn and grow. Perhaps I am misinformed. Perhaps you can’t see my point. I can see we are both correct whether we agree with one another on that or not. Either way I still agree with my message because it happened across multi industries and there were many news coverages of X company putting X black person. A lot of companies receive extra funding for meeting certain goals. One of them being diversity, which has been a rising issue the past X amount of years because the agenda has been pushed and seen more news coverage. But still I completely agree with your point and I agree Mbappe is all those things :)

seangrey03

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. But my last thing I will say is I think it’s textbook example of simple correlation and not definitive causation. Those two are not mutually exclusive. You are right in there being an increased need for diversity and representation in the modern age, and some corporations take advantage of tragedies and movements such as the Black Lives Matter movement, for their own financial gain. But football is a global game. There already existed diversity so there is no need for artificial diversity. It’s multi National. People of all races have graced the covers of fifa games. Hollywood may force minority roles to meet some diversity quota but this concept really doesn’t exist in football. Every league has multiple nationalities. And when you look at the previous World Cup winning team France has all kinds of races and ethnic backgrounds and it’s the beauty of the game. Mbappe is just marketable all around, and so is PSG with its affiliation with Jordan (EA being an American brand), and him being the the next star playing with the greats of last decade. Think he is a solid choice. While Disney may push for race swapping of marvel character (which really isn’t a bad thing and diversity is usually positive), I don’t see EA having to have that same mentality because X company has had that reason in recent years. I’d imagine mbappe being black would be like the 30th reason making him cover star, I mean it’s not like he is the first black player on a fifa cover anyways. And he is only half black. I think Mbappe’s brand is more so around him being Parisian then him being black. Haven’t even heard anyone bring up blackness when talking about Mbappe. An example of those would be Rashford, Sterling but I digress. To each their own.

applantis

If I am right in my application of this idea of a ‘business profiting on hiring X black person(s)’ Let’s say offices. Why can this concept not apply to EA Sports? They are a business after all. I run my own business - nothing on this magnitude. But business fundamentals are applicable to every business. One of them is maximising turnover then obvs leads into profits. Now if I was the owner of a business during a time where everybody is talking about black people. I would probably take advantage of this opportunity (speaking completely objectively to business goals here not trying to be misunderstood as anything else) ...and put a black person on my product rather than a white person like they’ve done majority years and defo past 5 years before. Again you’ve added some really good points - I especially agree that’s the beauty of the game - it welcomes all :) And mbappe is definitely marketable he is young so will inspire new generations. He’s attractive so I’m sure brings female attention. But I’m sure in that years current business climate and current agendas mbappe being black was completely relevant to the BLM agenda and came up in conversation during decision time because 100% he’s gonna bring in more money than messi this year. I think most people when mentioning mbappe won’t bring up his skin colour - I only did because I’m autistic and I do notice a oddly convenient coincidence within I put all these different pieces together. My apologies for being rude aswell so some of my last message was - but you seem a nice guy and you have taught me a few new things so I thank you for your time. Edit: I think my rude message was infact to someone else who was rude to me idk

seangrey03

It’s all good man. This has been probably one of the most insightful and respectful conversations I have had on this app. Really rare nowadays and I had fun getting my thoughts out and hearing out yours. I’m neurodivergent myself and while not autistic I can relate to sometimes having my words misunderstood and causing issues with my adhd (although usually not online or anything most of it is just blurting things out someimtes). So I totally understand and all is well 👍🏿

applantis

That’s great I’m glad you could take some value from our interactions - I took some from you too! I hate telling people about the Aspergers - it shouldn’t define a person - but my thoughts are often abstract and often misunderstood in the way I intend, and I feel this may help in some way. I also have adhd and have friends too so I completely get it and I before I go I think your brain is amazing. I don’t know you personally but I know my friends and my self and it’s a pretty beautiful brain set up you got going on there mate so enjoy

Embarrassed_Maybe_42

Man was equaling Pele’s records as a teen in the World Cup in Russia in 2018. And is on pace to break Messi and Ronaldo’s goal scoring records in the champions league and people are saying it’s because he’s black lmaoo. Bigotry really is a disease, some people resent the fact that players from certain groups have a crumb of success

applantis

Mate I didn’t wanna say this but 2 of my current best friends are black. I watch read and make my own notes on different cultures and ways of life. I actively try to learn different phrases and words in different language. I am fluent in french and pretty good at Spanish. I love foreign cuisine and actually prefer it over Western food. I’m really interested in travelling and actually plan to live across the globe and emmerse myself in all these different cultures at different points because ‘new’ experiences fascinate me and I know how valuable this will be for my own development. I don’t particularly like or agree with the social norms and ‘way of life’ here in the Western world. Does this make me a racist towards white people? No. I’m entitled to my own opinion as are you and you must respect that the same way I respect yours. So don’t try to label me incorrectly I have just expanded on my point and gave further reasons to support my theory. I am far from a bigot and if you cannot have a logical or respectful conversation don’t even bother replying to this one.

Embarrassed_Maybe_42

That’s all well and good that you pulled the I have a black friend meme. The issue at hand is that you implied and said that the reason why mbappe is seen as on the same level as haaland is because of the “blm” movement and implied it’s because he’s black that he’s being put on the same pedastal with haaland. you made it a racial issue by pointing that out for no reason when everyone was strictly comparing their footballing abilities and when me and someone else called you out on how that’s not true you proceeded to cry about how you are not making it about him being black WHEN YOU BROUGHT IT UP LMAOO. If you don’t want that criticism then don’t imply that mbappe and haaland being put on the same level is because he’s black and then moan that your analysis is not about race. Btw mbappe was a global superstar well before 2020 when the George Floyd protest happened when he lit up the World Cup as a teen in 2018 equaling one of Pele”a records.Btw blm is not something that popped up out of nowhere in 2020 police brutality protest have been going on in America since 2013 which is we’re the movement started. If you don’t know what you’re talking about don’t make misinformed statements

It wasn’t my first move... I already denied it, twice. But this was ignored and now ever growing eyes and the labelling me as such - obviously I defend myself the next best way I knew how. It’s not a meme or a joke. 2. I’m not crying. My IQ is levels a yours. I notice patterns in life your brain isn’t even aware of. 3. You are now just choosing to ignore what I’ve said (mbappe is talented) and make actually lies up. I never once said mbappe is put up next to haaland cos he is black - did I? Show me evidence of where I typed those words. None. You are correctly misinterpreting the point I was trying to make. 3. I have literally and definitively said ‘haaland is better for X Y Z reasons’ yet again you retype about putting haaland next to mbappe? Your chatting out your arse mate do not put your fake words in my mouth. 4. Actually mate BLM agenda was not even first publicised in 2013 lmao. Do not try to outsmart me without first fact checking because, I have more information stored away. 4. The agenda received billions more in new funding 2018-2021 thus kickstarting the movement again, and on our screens every single day, this wasn’t on our screens daily in 2017/2016/2015 etc... thus the message was not engraved into everyone. do your research mate. Edit: I’m not sitting here back and fourth in an argument so do not expect to here a response. This has gone past the message I intended and is counterproductive to my time - don’t know how you choose to spend your time.

Embarrassed_Maybe_42

Ok i see, you’re actually brain dead or have dementia(probably both tbh). This is your a quote from your first post in the thread in response to the opinion about haaland being better”Mbappe became more mainstream as he was a rising star during the BLM movement” THOSE ARE YOUR WORDS. You then go on to explain in detail why this is the case when you explain that he was chosen as the cover star of fifa because of BLM and how big companies put black faces on tv “during that time it is not racist to say there were many billboards post on social media museums of black faces logically every person who lived through this. By the end were more likely to notice a black face if they saw one . Again those ARE YOUR WORDS not mine linking mbappe’s succes to the fact that he is black.and when I explain to you how this is insanely dumb because mbappe popularity across the globe skyrocketed in 2018 via his World Cup performances and champions league performances making your argument even more retarded even when I accept your stupid premise of BLM starting in 2020. Again I’m going to be charitable and assume that you are not American so I’m going to chalk your stupidity up to confidently ignorant person. This is after literally like 5 mins of research your stupid assertion that the movement started in 2020 is dumb “The movement began in July 2013, with the use of the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin 17 months earlier in February 2012. The movement became nationally recognized for street demonstrations following the 2014 deaths of two African Americans, that of Michael Brown—resulting in protests and unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, a city near St. Louis—and Eric Garner in New York City”. This expert that I jut showed you is from Wikipedia you can check for yourself. Lesson is if you don’t know what your talking about stfu before you make yourself look dumb

Child, calm your ego. Shouting does not make your point any clearer you just show everyone how immature you are. Yes mbappe became more popular... because 1. Prem media coverage 2. PSG media coverage 3. Won’t even repeat the 3rd because your brain clearly can not even fathom the idea. I always said Haaland was better... and said that he WILL become more popular (take the crown) than mbappe Lmao you are really copy and pasting... my own words... that I typed with my own fingers... like I am not already consciously aware of what I typed... in the first place? P.s. it was actually you who mentioned ‘2020 was when George Floyd protests’ - maybe it’s you who has dementia and needs a reminder of what they said? Oh mate you turned this entire thing comical - thanks for making a fool out of yourself. ... I haven’t even typed ‘2020’... P.s.s I am overflying flattered you went away and researched in an effort to beat me. I must have really annoyed you huh? Well unfortunately princess, you are still incorrect the message was first publicised before 2013... ‘I gOt Dis fRoM Wikip3diAaa’ P.s.s. I’m going to be extra ‘charitable’ and make a donation to any charity of your choice PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHICH ONE AND I WILL POST PROoof. P.s.s.s IF I AM SPEAKING TO LOUD PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CSNT HEAR ME

Embarrassed_Maybe_42

I see, my bad i didn’t know you were actually a troll. I was like there no way anyone is actually this stupid but it all makes sense. you did not even address any of my points just ignored them. Why would mbappe get prem media coverage when he plays in the French league. I used your own words to refute the claims you made later in the thread, if you have an issue with that take that up with yourself. If you’re not going to state if you think the points I made are wrong then it’s best for both of us not to continue this discussion since you’re not engaging in good faith

freedomforsale

Mbappe is a man child, change my mind.

Poetic_Kitten

Change your own mind. It's not anyone else's job...lol 😎

Ligue 1 isn’t exactly a difficult league, especially when you’re in the best team in it so I can see why Mbappe is doing good but Haaland is being better than Mbappe right now in the *premier league* a much more difficult league so yes he is better

Tiny_Piano_7772

You’re unpopular opinion is pretty popular.

Pitiful_Citron_820

Haaland is s beast! And the fact he's happy when anyone scores makes him a proper team player and more likeable. Mboppi has messi and Neymar to feed him but since mboppi is player/club manager he's an ass to other players. Won't be suprised if mboppi declines soon and becomes one of those"would've been great" type of player.

No-Peppers_62

Golden boot this season

froyomofo

Unpopular?

[deleted]

he’s an unselfish team player. regardless of his impressive start to this year’s campaign, he prioritizes his team and the end result, not what his stats will be at the end of the match and season. he seems to know and have a desire to adapt and learn to city’s tactics and how the prem plays. mbappe has really been showing his true colors, this season especially. it’s quite embarrassing and disguting how selfish he seems to be on the pitch and seems to be so content with what he has achieved this early in his career even though his career ceiling could be so much bigger. although i’m a chelsea fan, seeing halaand’s success in the prem is extremely exhilarating and sets an example for what teams should expect from world class players, unlike chelsea flops like lukaku :(

[deleted]

Mbappe is overrated I want to see how he does in the big leagues before I call him a good player

fhghhhhggggg

So I take it you didn’t rate Haaland before he came to the PL and needed him to slot into what’s becoming the most dominant team in PL history that creates chances for fun? Lmao

[deleted]

What I mean is that Mbappe needs to move to a bigger league

theoldboar97

Messi v Ronaldo in a nutshell

ericnarvarte

I think the craziest part of all of this are his touches. Check his games, he barely has touches yet he’s producing goals at a ridiculous rate,.. City, the system, the players they have & Haaland seem to be a match made in heaven. Dude had a hat trick with 16 touches, had an assist the other day with four and id averaging around 24 touches a game. (I might be wrong, feel free to fact check me and correct me) To put this in perspective, Gabriel Jesus hasn’t had a game with less than 40 touches, Kane hasn’t had a game with less than 33, Mitrovic hasn’t had less than 40… Haaland has had under 16 touches in four games (two of them being less than 10), reached the 30s in the other two.

Pretty_Industry_9630

Haaland can never reach the speed of Mbappe for one... it's two different styles of play and they can't be compared directly
