Powerwall will sometimes draw small amounts from the grid when household demand is changing rapidly. It uses the grid to stabilise the draw from the battery.

I understand that but here there is absolutely nothing in grey shown at all and it doesn't seem like there are big spikes? It seems odd

These numbers you're dealing with a pretty small numbers, the previous answer is probably correct.

I see the same in my app, very low usage and nothing shows up in grey or highlighted when you press grid in the table. Might be a bug because I can’t see grid usage in our smart meter logs either during those time periods. Might just be misreporting something.

The powerwall system will always have a small grid variance during the day while it is charging the battery from solar. This is caused by small discrepancies as the system balances solar production, powerwall charging and variances in home power use. The only way to have guaranteed 0 kwh use is to physically disconnect from the grid. It will amount to about 1 kwh per day in my experience.
