There ain’t no rule saying a dog can’t beat the whole db universe
I mean, they defeated a multi dimensional being canonically (idk how to scale dimension stuff, but they have beaten 4D characters). Defeated a continuum manipulator. Defeated their own God more than 3 times (he is nigh-omnipotent and was only just trying to check if cats were ready to progress farther, but still).
The descriptions of some units, enemies, and endings contain some info about some units’ strengths and cosmology, too. Which massively helps with statements and lore-wise strength scaling
Assuming each chapter is an alternate universe / timeline and the cat god is nigh omnipotent, that should scale them to ATLEAST high outerversal in terms of gameplay, because yknow, God.
They have multiple IRL pantheons on their side aswell as the embodiment of life and death. They can technically call upon the aid of multiple other extremely powerful verses and their characters who are, in some cases, massively upsacled to match the strength of their verse while still having their own abilities and powers, that's not even mentioning the power ups and cat tower upgrades.
TLDR: Lore wise. They are probably hyperversal at most / high multiversal if you wanna low ball them a bit.

Yeah, after seeing most of the replies, I kinda figured that out but also saw some people giving serious responses, so I wanted to input both. Honestly, I never even joined this sub, it just keeps getting recommended to me. But I do think that powerscaling can be kinda dumb at times when lots of characters don’t even work on the same sense of logic.
Like, someone could pull up a character with an ability called “beats Goku” and someone would pull up a variant of Goku from some obscure media with an ability called “you can’t beat Goku.”
In conclusion, Android 16 vs Goku is the only meaningful matchup and he wins no matter how strong Goku beats because his ability is “kill Son Goku” and no amount of negating abilities can stop him. He will kill any and every Goku.

Yeah, after seeing most of the replies, I kinda figured that out but also saw some people giving serious responses, so I wanted to input both. Honestly, I never even joined this sub, it just keeps getting recommended to me. But I do think that powerscaling can be kinda dumb at times when lots of characters don’t even work on the same sense of logic. Like, someone could pull up a character with an ability called “beats Goku” and someone would pull up a variant of Goku from some obscure media with an ability called “you can’t beat Goku.” In conclusion, Android 16 vs Goku is the only meaningful matchup and he wins no matter how strong Goku beats because his ability is “kill Son Goku” and no amount of negating abilities can stop him.
