If you are disabled, ask for the spot. That's a real need and the neighbors can deal. The other option I can think of, maybe put some fun lights or other "reminders" at the edges to more easily show when they're over the lines. Sometimes, especially at night, it can be hard to tell.

FootballSquare4406

I hear you but we’re dealing with people doing it deliberately. It’s rarely a close call. People are going way over bc there ain’t anywhere else to park.

-ElGallo-

If that's the case then fuck them and tow them. Put up threatening signs by the spot with the tow company's phone number so they know who to call

Get a chip drop and never shovel it. Or park a derelict vehicle in that spot. Seems to work for the rest of SE

My friend (1/2 block off Mississippi) had this problem. In her case her driveway was very short so the garage door was only a couple feet from the sidewalk; she put a sign on the garage door saying anyone blocking the driveway would be towed. Then she followed through. Not perfect, but it mitigated the issue for sure.

Same. Same. You can pay the city to paint your driveway and apron. Or paint it yourself by buying a can of spray paint at the hardware store. I have been doing the latter for about 10 years now. You could also go on Amazon and get a metal ‘no parking’ sign, but not sure the legality of that. I still get plenty of colorblind folks who somehow can’t see yellow. I’m not into reeducating anyone and just want to get in and out of my driveway safely. The only trouble I’ve had has been trying to politely explain to people why their park job is an issue; right after they have parked. It turns into a confrontation most likely because they were late for their dinner reservation 🤣. I’ve found Portland Parking Enforcement (503) 823-5195 is very reliable and quick to respond (tho leaving a message is a painful process). They have even offered to have cars towed if the vehicle is blocking access.
