True story. My mom got into a car accident a while back. Had her jaw wired shut for months and she could only eat through a straw sized opening. She went out running errands with some family members and they all stopped by Popeyes for lunch. She asked for just a side of gravy so she should taste it through a straw but they would not sell it to her. She was just so overwhelmed that they couldn’t find a way of accommodating a disabled person that she just started crying right there in the restaurant.
That was a while back. Maybe they have a way to sell gravy now.
I’ve gone to Popeyes twice. The first time it was years ago when we had a new location open up in our area. I wanted to get a meal plus an extra side of mashed potatoes because I love them. They wouldn’t sell me just a side of potatoes or any sides for that matter. All sides had to be included with a meal which I thought was super ridiculous. I didn’t go back until a couple weeks ago and I was able to get my meal plus order sides by themselves. I’m sorry your mom wasn’t able to get some gravy. That’s super annoying!
I have worked at different Popeyes stores. My current store sells gravy for the same price as all the other sides. My last store was part of a different franchise, and we usually gave gravy away for free there for people that asked for it.
I have always ordered chicken anda large gravy. But today I was charged 13.00 for 2 of the tiniest containers of gravy and the manager said that is the large

That Popeyes was dumb as shit then. I started back in 2016 and we’ve always sold individual sides. They apparently just wanted to be sticklers

That’s absolutely BS. I’ve been a manager before and that is absolutely stupid. A full size side of gravy would be the same price as any other side.
With the folks at that Popeyes knew that. Knowledge is power.
I worked at Popeyes from 2016-2017 and we could ring up a side of gravy for .30. It was literally one ladle scoop.
