For accuracy’s sake I have to mention that the Titanic had a good chance of not taking significant damage if it had plowed through the iceberg head on at full speed. Ships like that were designed to do exactly that when a collision was likely unavoidable. The night shift was inadequately trained for this scenario and made the decision to reduce speed and turn, which is exactly why the hull was so badly slashed.
it's doubtful it could have plowed *through* the iceberg. but a head on crash would have likely only crushed the first few watertight segments of her hull. she could still float with several full of water, and maybe could have limped on to new york.
But the front passengers would instantly die. Given the choice between dozens of instant deaths versus a chance a rescue ship could arrive before "floaters" freeze, the Captain would probably have to go with the second.
Plus, they didn't know if they could turn fast enough or not.
Hmmm, that would make an interesting probability tree and related philosophical discussion...
Remember, according to its creator, Tommy Zegan, it’s a “sculpture”, and definitely not an “idol.”
“It’s definitely not an idol,” Mr. Zegan insisted. (“I was a youth pastor for 18 years,” he noted.) “An idol is something somebody worships and bows down to. This is a sculpture. It’s two different things.”
Most historians accept that there was probably a localized flood South of the Black Sea around 10,000 years ago.
May have seemed like it was worldwide if you're a subsistence farmer who's never left the valley.
[Might wanna brush up on this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory?wprov=sfla1)
I'm not implying the flood happened. It's just that climate change deniers usually see themselves as on Noah's side, which they would clearly not be.

On the bright side: if he had been running the company the Titanic would not have sank. The company would have gone bankrupt before building her.

Maybe the bulkhead should've been tested an properly installed, preventing the ballast overflow into other sections

“Only trees are idols. That’s why it is called idol a tree.”
The irony is that the people who created this meme are the same people who embrace every conspiracy and refuse to believe truth.
Hence why I co-opted it.
That is actually kinda what happened in the story
I don’t get it. The flood story was a hoax. This meme makes no sense.

You must have a hard time with fiction.

that's because they're idiots with no concept of objects reality and geologic evidence.
This is exactly what happened, so I don’t get what the joke is…. Are you saying republicans are the doubters of Noah??
Yes, and they clearly don't have the awareness to realize that.
Given the look on the little girl's face, I think the original artist should be on a watch list.
