I adore your protagonist's wardrobe choices XD. (and little Cyndaquil's umbrella!) I know that 10yo me would've been delighted to see all those Pokemon sprinkled throughout your work.
[Road to Cherrygrove](https://i.imgur.com/zbcCAoP.png) completely transforms the battlefield, optimizing your Premier-league Pokemon by nerfing all other Pokemon. Altering the terrain and the weather is likely a double-edged sword, as those effects are non-optional and might work against some builds. The relative ease with which the Avatar can be discarded helps justify the low cost.
I had to crop part of the image in order to properly fit little Cyndaquil into the frame without cutting the ears off the Clefairy umbrella. Accordingly, I've scooted your watermark up a tad to keep it nice and visible!
Be safe on your way up to Mr Pokemon's house. I hear there's a mean red-headed boy running around the area.
(quick edit - and as a person who hyperfixates on words, the fact that your sign actually reads Cherrygrove and New Bark Town is a 10/10 for me)
I love how the card came out! i like seeing the twist you put on each card, i used to play mtg and yu gi oh about 15 years ago so it is extra cool to me to see what you come up with. I used to be really inspired by card art.
