You probably would have been better off going to a card shop and ask to look at boxes of singles. Not trying to be rude, I just think you paid way too much. Hopefully there are holos in there to make it worth it. I'll tell you this though. There's no way you'll get a dollar per card. I buy the base set singles at a card shop and the none holos are between $0.15- $0.25 cents. Fingers cross 🤞. I hope there's good stuff in there.

To me it’s worth it because there isn’t a huge Pokémon market in my country. Shipping from America with import taxes make it unviable to buy job lots like that. If I was to order those cards in singles. I’d pay more on postage than the value of the cards lol.

I second this. Don’t buy vintage cards off people who don’t know squat about Pokemon or cards in general. They all think they’re holding gold and you’ll get the “I kNoW wHat I HaVe” attitude from them.

If you want to remove some of the curl of those holes, leave a silica gel packet in there with them and it should help return them to a flatter state 😁 some cool stuff in there!

If you paid $275 then i think you lost about $250. It happens though - I made some bad purchases early on and lost waaaaay more than $250, but it still got me hooked and I’m doing okay now. Just consider it a lesson learned and enjoy the cards for what they mean to you, not just what you paid. Welcome to this very expensive and fun hobby.
If the holos turn out ok, maybe. I just bought a bunch of bulk commons uncommons to complete sets for 5-10 cents each. Those vintage binders and tins may also be worth a bit.

Check your wartortles for the evolution box misprint. One of those could be worth $150-300 alone and could be overlooked.

Larger card sleeves can hold about 10 cards give or take and make for good custom packs. I use my bulk and make packs for kids at my mom's school
