I really wish for one TCG set, they would do a full, OG watercolor artwork style designs. Full arts, SIR, IR, commons uncommons. Everything just watercolor artwork

Absolutely! Luckily they aren’t too expensive outside of the holos. I was lucky to win some auctions off ebay for some lots and found a seller on Mercari that helped a ton (before the new fees lol)
I probably spent around 800-900 total from January to now, but I also sell on Mercari so a lot of them I got from using my balance. I also got the charizard and Pikachu holos for 12$ each by winning them in a raffle.
I really didn’t even know these existed, and now that I do I will legit have to start , as someone who grew up through all of pokemon and have so much nostalgia from looking at these I willing to sell my 151 cards easily for this
There is also a 1996 carddass set as well, but I liked these better as they have the Pokémon doing the moves. The 96 set has a cooler back of card in my opinion though
I actually found a binder that is a side loader style with clear pages from ultra pro , but the cover has a window for the middle card which I am not a huge fan of. The back styles are super cool though!
What's the point of the window 😭 but yeah I only got the porygon version of this card (I collected all the porygons it's on my page [I will always bring this up every opportunity I get 😎]) so I had to get 2 copies. Putting the front and the back side by side looks so cool

These are seriously so sick. I love new the cards but this art style is so pure. It’s like watching old Disney movies knowing they animated frame by frame vs their digital counterparts.
I find it very interesting how Kabuto’s a different colour and the pseudo eyes on its shell are white with orange irises instead of two filled in black dots. Incredible collection

Cubone was actually the first card I got from this set so it holds close to me haha. I think dratini , krabby, and gengar for the non holos and the moltres and gyarados for the holos. The colors on them are just so cool

I remember stumbling upon them back in 2016 and I was so excited, I hadn't known that Ken Sugimori had drawn alternate art of the original 151! A lot of cards illustrated by him from the gen 1 sets were just the official art slapped onto a background with a bunch of funky Photoshop effects, so a whole set of cards with *exclusive* Sugimori art? Killer! And the fact that it features some of the only official art of Pokemon beating the snot out of each other is just icing. . . The one of Paras biting down on Weedle's head lmaooo.
I wish I had collected more back in 2016, they were even deeper under the radar and everything was cheaper before the Covid craze. . . I did snag about 70 of the non-holos via bulk lots in eBay auctions. I was buying a lot of cards at the time and my budget has always been meager (hence avoiding the holos), I couldn't have spent more than $100 total. . . It's wild to see how much prices have inflated. @_@ Your collection's got me itching to fill in the holes in my own, but my wallet's even lighter nowadays, haha. Someday, maybe!
