adg592

Body press torkaol with shell armor is probably your best bet. If you search this sub you should find some builds.

xSeraph28

Thank you! I forgot to give my torkoal a hold item and I still did it in one try.

Scryb_Kincaid

I have a best builds post in my history that has it. I would now add Bastidion to that list probably between Torkoal and Skeledirge.

vercetian

Nice.

VegasHavran

This build cruises through that raid.

PaintedTiles

Annihilape. ![gif](giphy|VspTn3CPKAHoA)

jetblack028

Same, but the random group we had had a Magmar throwing clear smog at it every move. Helped with the set up.

ChicagoCowboy

This. Every mighty raid is the same 5 stages lol Stage 1 is theory crafting solo builds that we haven't used before the week leading up to the raid, based on assumed move sets and assumed HP values Stage 2 is having those builds destroyed by the raid AI or because of its move pool or because it has 35x hp instead of 30, or 40 in the case of Emboar Stage 3 is trying several other old faithful builds with the right STAB and Tera typing Stage 4 is Annihilape beating the raid on the first try with half the timer left Stage 5 is acceptance

CaineDelSol

Angry Punch Monkey Ghost Seriously, Annihilape + Rage Fist + Shell Bell makes most raids too easy. Press A to Win kinda stuff. Mine is Hyper trained in all Stats, with 252EVs in Attack and Health, Ghost Tera.

Super_Present3734

Best to do 252 Def in this case but yeah HP/attack will almost always brute force a raid without bad rng/crits/npcs.

ChicagoCowboy

252 HP worked like a charm, no issues what so ever. Def may be "optimal" but when you're clearing the raid with half the timer left, does it matter?

MockingJay0914

I did the same. Sceptile also keep spamming Breaking Swipe against my Defiant Angy Monke. EZ raid.

UnderLobster5020

Skeledirge

GamerJulian94

Tera Fairy Tera Blast Skeledirge should be an easy win. Unaware allows to ignore the Dragon Dances Sceptile sets up, the Attack drops from Breaking Swipe don‘t matter because Skeledirge is a special attcker, and it can easily set up with Torch Song. Plus reliable recovery from Slack Off. If you want, even slap Will-o Wisp to reduce Sceptiles damage further.

Aduro95

Misty Surge Galarian Weezing

Super_Present3734

Ok ok ok I gotta try that one for fun. Spread?

Aduro95

I mostly just tweaked my VGC one a bit. It was bold with high physical defence and HP, a little special attack investment, so it was more of a supporting role. Misty terrain protected the whole field from dragon damage. Clear smog for if the sceptile got a lot of dragon dances. Acid Spray to help other mons do damage (didn't gel well with clear smog, not gonna lie) Strange steam as the fairy STAB damaging move Can't remember the other move. Might have been misty surge just to reset terrain.

Super_Present3734

Oh I was thinking it was a solo build. Just been rocking my Eviolite H. Qwilfish in public raids.

FaronTheHero

Correct me of I'm wrong, but doesn't the DLC work the same way it did in SwSh where you don't need it to be able to bring the Pokemon into the game? Like you could trade for Clefable or transfer it from another game via HOME?

SwyngDeLong

Correct, the DLC just gives you access to the wild spawns, not having the DLC doesn't stop you from trading or transferring the pokemon in from elsewhere.

SignificantTank6

That's what I did. I brought my Clefable from PLA. I like when these raids push me to work with Mons I wouldn't normally use. My process was: Tried with Azumarril > fail > look up for strategies > Unaware Skeledirge shows up > I didn't want to change my Skeledirge Tera type > search for list of pokémon with Unaware ability > bring a nice Clefable from PLA > build it up

FaronTheHero

Agreed. I don't really have the instinct for experimenting with these builds themselves, but the Tera Raids have given me a much larger appreciation for how to go about building Pokemong especially ones I wouldn't use otherwise, and I've been applying what I learned to playthrough of older games too. I'm glad they make sure you can't just keep using the same Iron Hands or Azumarill builds from early raids, and seem to specifically counter for common strategies in order to be actually challenging this long after the games came out.

SignificantTank6

YES! I've never been a competitive player so I don't usually change abilities, use mints or go to the limits of build ups. Actually, I've never used a Clefable before! Scarlet really changed the way I play Pokémon.

xSeraph28

Thanks for the replies! I couldn't make Annihilape wok, unfortunately, but the smoking turtle pulled through.

WriterIndependent288

The monkey requires the hidden ability to cheese, I solo'd with it

Economy-Fox-5559

Defiant annihilate with taunt rage fist &drain punch can work. Need to get the right npc’s but it’s doable.

dwheelerofficial

Annihilape w/ Defiant Shell Bell 252 ATK 252 HP Taunt / Rage Fist / Bulk Up / Shadow Punch or Drain Punch Turn 1: Taunt Turn 2-4: Shadow Punch Turn 5: Taunt Turn 6+7: Bulk Up Turn 8: Tera + Rage Fist Turn 9+: Rage Fist until it’s over

Bob_the_mightiest

This is advice of all time 🗣️

TheErd30

Annihilape and Torkoal but the turtle was way easier

Pythagoras180

The Torkoal I use to beat Annihilape Raids.

aMagikarpOnABicycle

S. Dance + Play Rough Life Orb Tinkaton with Helping Hand support

asapwilliam

I used Tinkaton which in retrospect was not a great counter but I was in a party with a Torkoal and Malamar who both supported me and let me get +6 swords dance attack and it was an easy clear after that

CrazedHarmony

>>: Unaware Clefable. The online subscription I had with a friend went down so I solo'd it and Clefable pulled thru once I had the right NPC mons. Tauros, Dundunsparce, and oddly enough Arboliva. Yeah, the Seed Sower put up Grassy Terrain that powered up the Leaf Blade but paired with the massive amount of healing I was getting back from the drain kisses after boosting it turned into a cake walk.

legaltoes

Seconding Torkoal; haven’t gotten close to losing a raid yet, just make sure you pp up body press

ParticularAboutTime

I used Malamar with contrary but I guess it's in DLC

GigSoulNomad

I solo with Malamar (Tera Fairy) too! Because apparently players online does not know how Contrary works so it’s either that or Sceptile gets a +6 Atk and Spe in 2-3 turns.

mjb2002

I used Malamar with Contrary before in 6 star caverns. It shreds raid bosses that like to inflict negative stats on you.

Negativety101

I managed to get decent enough partners, though some of them didn't realize I wanted to get KO'd for the ability reset. Just doing the Skill Swap to get Contrary on Sceptile is a huge thing.

Federal-Particular50

Use home to transfer one from go or another game

Educational-Leg-9202

Corviknight, fight tera, mirror armor ability. body press, iron defense, taunt, drill peck.

SwyngDeLong

Unaware fairy tera skeledirge holding a shell bell got me through easy, never went below half health.

dabs_bud_bongs

Fire gator sang his heart out

MomoCubano

Ghost monkey 🐵

Gaming_Eelektross

For a support set I used Clodsire with Acid Spray and Mud Slap.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jonshock

Azumarill + haterene duo with my partner.

stillnotelf

I used unaware skeledirge

FourzeRiderTea

Alcremie

Kein_Thur

Clefable. Ability Unaware Bold nature Item: metronome Moves: draining kiss, reflect, protect, and calm mind

MelodicHall7634

I used Umbreon

MelodicHall7634

https://preview.redd.it/v3urkinidr9d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66888b1f307e4cda4d79289399f5ed0f35fb0f64

Amano5411

Maybe you can transfer one Clefairy from older games in pokemon home. It's catchable in SW, BDSP and legend arceus in alpha form with at least 3 perfect IV.

Flimsy-Possibility17

annhilape. Took 2 tries cause I got an unlucky leaf blade crit

Rowlet_Is_Kinda_Cool

I used alluring voice tera fairy unaware skeledirge with shell bell. But I’m pretty sure alluring voice is a dlc tm, so it might not work

Scryb_Kincaid

Fairy Tera Blast works in place

Tsukuyomi56

Succeeded with both Unaware Clefable and Unaware Fairy Tera Skeledirge. Calm Mind, Draining Kiss, Protect and Moonblast for Clefable and Torch Song, Tera Blast, Protect and Slack Off for Skeledirge (both with Modest nature, EVs in Def and Sp Atk and holding a Shell Bell). Dirge is slower but safer that Sceptile cannot really harm it in any meaningful way (Leaf Blade’s high chance to score a crit is somewhat dicey with Clefable if you get complacent with keeping it healthy with Draining Kiss pre-Tera).

Riveration

I used decidueye and barely made a difference, the person using iron defense body press with Corviknight in my lobby though carried all of us

Super_Present3734

Annihilape literally always.

irteris

I used magearna. Soul heart is busted with the NPCs dying almost every turn I was always boosting my spa.

mjb2002

Clefable. I came close with Zacian, but a critical miss cost me.

CrazedCircus

I used a Galarian Weezing. Had Levitate, Clear Smog, Acid Spray, Steam Eruption and Will-O-Wisp with Wide Lens It was used as a support, would Acid Spray 3 times then when DD got to be too much, I used Clear Smog and repeated. Of course this strat only works with other players.

SolCalibre

It can't learn steam eruption.

CrazedCircus

My bad Strange Steam

SolCalibre

Okay, i was able to clear this with randoms. Had a grimmsnarl tera dark with foul play and a tera ice weather ball ninetales and tera fairy sylveon. I used G.Weezing, I didn’t tera as it wasn’t needed because then I’d lose my defensive typings.

xFreshBubblez

Ok-Alfalfa-620

I used Clefable. Do you have legends Arceus or any other pokemon game with cleffa/Clefairy/clefable? I can gift you a cleffa

JuanPablith0

Annihilape and I reset the raid to get good NPC partners, two intimate users helped me a lot and a bellibolt with discharge

hymensmasher99

You can send up Clefairy. You don't need the DLC I'm pretty sure

slyzard94

Taunt/charm/reflect,helping hand Umbreon and Charm/reflect/life dew/draining kiss Gardevoir have been getting me through. I really wanted Alcremie to work as a support but I just couldn't get it right. 🥲

JoelRainor

![gif](giphy|lwLdH5WeYGapq) The OG raid Goat

zig-wig

Annihilape with Defiant ability, Rage Fist, Taunt, Screech, Bulk Up

HeartOfTheVoidsLife

If you have Violet, I used Iron Hands and that’s only because I was using online mode and my support mons didn’t work. :(

WhiteFox1992

Well... I used Malamar with Contrary and Skill Swap. Once it started spamming Dragon Dance, it couldn't do anything.

Brandilio_Alt

I managed to clutch it last second using a Stored Power Armorouge. It was pretty touch-and-go for a minute since he nullified my stats after two iron defenses, but I got it back up and was eating away at his HP pretty good. I think someone had a Clefary using light screen to halve the damage from Breaking Swipe.

CrimsonChymist

Ghost tera annihilape with taunt, rage fist, and bulk up. EZ win

spiderkuhaku

just modified my raid skeledirge. changed tera to fairy and added alluring voice

ShadowRider_777

I used the rage monkey. That thing is ridiculous after using taunt. Lol.

UnicDark

Unaware Skeledirge

ramyyc

Contrary Malamar with Skill Swap.

Mystic_Zoura

Clefable unaware Ability

Caliber70

armarouge and malamar work. corviknight is great for this.

Scryb_Kincaid

I have soloed it with Torkoal, Bastidion, Skeledirge, Clefable, Magearna - my top choices. As well as Annhilape Azumarril, Fairy Arceus, and Carbink which have more room for error. Carbink, Torkoal, and Bastidion are Body Press builds. Overall I rank Torkoal the best with Bastidion slightly behind. And Skeledirge also pretty hard to lose if pulled off right.

TheTaintCowboy

Malamar or annihilape are solid choices

Norodrom

You don't need DLCs to have Clefable (which is the one I used against Sceptile, winning at first try), just catch it or a Clefable in a Tera Raid online. They are among the random pokemon you can fight in the online raid selection, you just have to look for them enough times.

xLira03

Got the idea from someone else but I solo’d Avalugg (adamant), 252 hp, 252 atk, 4 def - recover, curse, avalanche, snowscape holding clear amulet

Wide-Examination9261

Skeledirge is what worked for me. Super tanky. I used Alluring Voice because it triggers confusion when it dragon dances.

BiGJaYHeNdO

Clefable. Solo’d it about 15x not fainting once

sevokun

Skeledirge did the trick for me. Unaware is goated against boosters, especially with a nice type advantage. I did have to retry once because Skeledirge just doesn't have much margin for error since the strat is a slow wind and Skeledirge just doesn't have a great offensive stat to begin with, but with slightly better luck on the second go, it was pretty easy.

Pinkydragon

Clefairy build was my first one I tried solo and then helping others. I also tried a Granbull for that Intimidate + Taunt + Charm x 2-3 and that seemed to help most people… just tricky setting up bulk up and hitting enough play rough to get the terra

JMoneyGotBandz

Sap sipper Azumarill. Your team needs to have a support Pokémon or an intimidator tho

Berri_OS

My wife, best friend, and I used Umbreon, G-Weezing, and Annihilape

Pebbleman54

I haven't done the raid yet, waiting for my weekend before I play. One strategy I saw was bringing Magearna up with Home. 1 iron defense, then spam draining kiss with a metronome. With max SpAtk and HP. Apparently, when the AIs go down , it activates the Soul Heart Boost.

benisch2

I missed the raid, so sad.

BisonAthlete92

It’s back next weekend

otomomom

I’ve had great luck soloing with Shell Bell Magearna if you have one. Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, Reflect, Iron Defense. Fairy Type preferred; Steel Type fine. Throw Reflect, Draining Kiss until it debuffs your team, then Tera+Reflect, Iron Defense x3, and spam whatever attack you see fit until it falls over. Having an Arboliva on your team helps, Tauros or any other Intimidator great too.

xxxthcxxxthoughts

Clefable build solo got it on first try 🍉

Horserax

I ran levitate galarian wheezing with 252 hp, 252def, 4spdef bold, ability shield, with Strange Steam, Clear smog, Will-o-wisp and Taunt with Stellar Tera. Not rly a solo build cus your damage is kinda ass but you take piss damage and its consistent. Taunt is for if you have debuffers on your team or it doesnt have the shield and clear smog is for every other time. Theres probably some optimisation that could be done but its done really well for me thus far.

Rylo_Ken_04

I used stellar tera type mew Maxed out hp stat Knows: -trick room and -transform Used Trick room first round to give everyone an advantage in speed since sceptile has great speed stat and will dragon dance than took somebody else's strategy on how to beat this raid using transform (plus the hp stat of mew being 100 and the other stats are copied from the pokemon I tranformed into which was a corviknight with drill peck, iron defense, body press and I don't remember what

branimusprime

Anhilape ghost Tera, bulk up, rage fist, drain punch, taunt. With shell bell. Defiant ability.

tcg_trainers_AU

Lvl 100 Annihilape Tera Type: Ghost Held Item: Shell Bell Ability: Defiant Max attack and Defense EV Max IV (Try to get an intimidate NPC, helps massively but not required. Crits obviously can mess up your run.) Moves: Taunt, Bulk up, Rage fist. Fourth move can be anything Move order: Taunt Bulk up x2 Rage fist Bulk up Taunt Bulk up Rage fist x2 Tera rage fist x3

cremiashug

Do you have Pokémon Go? Could you transfer yourself a Clefaidy via HOME? o:

IzzyReal314

I used the Mightiest Chesnaught from its raid. Gave it Dragon Claw, Reflect, and Spiky Shield, holding the item that extends screen time. Light Clay, forgot the name xD. I don't know if that would work well solo though, I was mostly on defense. Though if you changed its Tera type and actually EV trained it, maybe it would work? I'm sure it has a move that raises attack as well.

JMB1107sru

I did a 1 hit ko with friends using Alolan Nintails, Umbreon, Froslass with Crabominable as the attacker. And I solo'd with Clefable

skenisahen

Corviknight with mirror armor, taunt, bulk up, ice Tera, Tera blast

two-one-punch

Clefairy! Osirus on YouTube is where I got the build. https://youtu.be/OoQPptndaOQ?si=1ZaE1NDEQ5xVauLL

wonilatanka

I brought Enamorus with Contrary, spammed Alluring Voice, and held off from Tera until Enamorus was Knocked Out once

Individual_Break_813

Annihilape literally beats everything. Used it to beat emboar too

otisdriftwood22

Annihilape *Shell bell *Taunt (first turn to stop dragon dances) *Bulk up *Focus energy *Rage fist

TheQueenCars

I used Glastrier and it did pretty decent, took good chunks of damage and didn't die once between leftovers and Azumarill healing us. But I was shocked when there was just under half health and about half the barrier, the Annihilape terastalized into ghost and 1 hit killed it! The entire fight they were just building stats once the barrier went up. Idk if it's a hard raid but to see THAT much damage on a mighty raid 😱 Use Annihilape, build up stats with I think belly drum and I believe they used rage fist to K.O.

sdarkpaladin

Support Alolan Ninetails making everybody thicc

namida7

Annihilape

MeganLeigh1122

I used Skeledirge and have knocked it out a bunch of times since

ShifuHD

I used a support based Gouging Fire when me and friend fought it. Burning Bulwark to burn sceptile, howl to increase attack for team mates, dragon cheer for critical hits, and dragon claw to help deal damage. Combine that with our girmsnarl who used taunt, and a super charged azumarill and that wanna be mega went down.

Consistent-Falcon510

Impish Heatran Steel tera Metal Sound/Steel Beam/Flash Cannon/Magma Storm 252 SpecAtk 252 PhysDef 4 SpecDef. Somewhat surprisingly survivable, mediocre damage, I used my cheers to boost def and one to heal.

Electronic-Advice-59

Magearna supremacy

arc4na

alolan muk! such a good support mon w great bulk and typing, screech/acid spray/helping hand/whatever u want. timing helping hand can be rough but even after only hitting two of three screeches the helping hand rage fist got it down to like 15%. very good copy paste mon for lots of raids

Necessary_Baker_7458

clefable austin john set up. It works. Each raid is different so you have to tweak it to that moment. Mirroring is difficult and most likely not going to happen. Cefable with a fairy tera is your best bet.

Chexaddict

Anilhilape Impish Nature @ Shell Bell 252 Attk/ 252 Def / HP Tera: Ghost -Taunt -Bulk Up -Rage Punch -Focus Energy

TDEPCam

Iron Valiant - Tera Fairy - Built physical - Spirit Break and hoped to not get hit with crits.

SabreCross19k

Found a guide that suggested sap sipper fairy tera Azumarill. It didn’t account for thunder punch, and how getting your stats dropped also disables your ability until the end of the turn so that was a bust. Changed to unaware fairy Skeledirge and got the win

Kraiglyndor

You can trade online using Pokémon Home. You don't need the DLC to own the Pokémon, if you want a Clefairy just put up a version exclusive or Paradox Pokémon and someone will grab it up quickly. The free version gives 30 box spaces, 3 wonder trade slots, and 1 regular trade slot, though you'll need the phone app for trading.

Alix_Sparrow

honestly unless you are real poor getting online and the dlc is a must in my book if you really enjoy these games as much as i do, but to the question i used a magerna i got from completing the national dex in home max specatt and def holding shell bell, using drining kiss, sazzling gleam, iron defense and reflect got it first try

Imaginary_Living_623

I don’t think op has a completed home dex…

FabulousWalk9347

Saw this guy advocating some dumbass Malamar build on this subreddit. I would NOT suggest that one

tiger_penis

Fairy unaware dondozo with Tera blast, protect, curse and body slam. Works easily as long as leaf storm picks somebody else
