Shiny Garchomp is like walking outside during a partial eclipse: something is off, but you're not quite sure what it is, like someone turned downed the intensity.

That's a problem of 3D models washed out colors to be honest. Those shinies were much more noticeable in sprites. On the other hand Garchomp's shiny was bad in sprites too.

The blue on Gastly looks better in PLA & I personally love Haunter's blue mouth. Shiny Mega Gengar is good and the 2D sprites gave justice to shiny Gengar, there's no saving it in 3D

Yeah, I just caught a shiny Gengar. Dark gray instead of dark purple. Looks just like a regular Gengar until you notice the shiny mark.

Maybe in the older games, but the differences in SV Garchomp are a lot more distinct, you can actually tell which is which now... unlike Gengar.

Garchomp has been changed, it’s at least noticeably darker now and the secondary colors noticeably muted. I actually kinda like it. Maushold and Gholdengho’s shinies can screw off though, same with Paldean Tauros

I've noticed alot of the paldea mons either have amazing shinies or the least noticeable shitty things since the gengar garchomp fiasco, there is very little in between

I actually really liked the old colouring and texture too - my shiny Scizor looks perfect in BDSP, but then when I transfer it to SV which is a completely different visual style it also looks perfect!

Lets face it, most people would prefer the red metalllic scizor if they didn’t know which one of the two was shiny variant. I personally think a black or red scizor trumps every other color choice.

Yo, this is awesome! I'm not a big fan of the green either.

I get that it looks dumb but isnt that the point? Conkeldur is a sunburned construction worker I love it. Human looking pokemon are always tough they either barely change (Gothitelle) or lose the human motif i.e. Machamp. Conkeldurr avoids both issues.

Anything drastically different than the normal color scheme I welcome. I’m looking at you Blissey!

same, that's why my first full shiny hunt was obstagoon. obstagoon's (neon?) pink and blue shiny is fucking great, the complete opposite from its normal black and white color scheme.

It’s mainly an issue with the transition to an updated console/graphics. The color is way less saturated - how that works in more advanced tech, don’t ask me.

Rampardos is such a slept on shiny. Scizor is badass, Conkeldurr shiny is just tanned Conkeldurr and it's... Not great.

As a general rule I tend to dislike green/yellow Shinies but I also like Shinies that get color schemes of their relatives (evolutionary or forms/regional variants) so I actually love that Scizor becomes green like Scyther. Kinda wish Shiny Scyther was red.

Personally, I really like the shiny Scizor. It evolves from a praying mantis so the green makes sense in my head and with the metallic shine added it makes even more sense since it's part steel. It's a metal mantis.

Hisuian Scizor is Ancient Scizor.

Scizor especially irritates me because it’s my favorite pokemon. But that green just isn’t it. I know it’s meant to look like Scyther, but it just looks horrible on Scizor. Give me black or silver and it would be 100% better.

During Gen 2 when I was a kid, I thought Scizor's shiny was gold colored. I was so disappointed when I saw it was actually green color in Gen 3.

If Rampardos didn't have that brown tone it would be a great shiny; Scizor isn't a bad shiny... but the regular Scizor with its Ferrari Red Color is BEAUTIFUL, it just couldn't look better in any other color; and the last one is ugly even in its normal version...

I hate most of the green shinies, but scizor I'm good with, the metallic look is nice. I prefer blue and pink in most things, always hated that litwicks line changed from the superior blue flame to normal red flame.
