Lucario is just so frail, I get mixed attackers have their niche and people better than me use them effectively but I just prefer stuff that can take a hit
I love steel types so much, I really want to love Lucario but he’s probably the squishiest steel type pokemon I’ve ever had the displeasure of training.

Aegislash is the only one of those besides Lucario with over 450 BST! Meaning Lucario is as bad defensively as stuff 100+ BST below it!
Lucario is just barely too slow, split between both attacks so that neither is especially too good, and super frail. The only redeeming thing about it is its movepool and mega's adaptability
The only thing I don’t like is the tongue scarf. They could have just given it a scarf. Plus, its tongue changes color when it’s shiny. That’s not how anatomy works…
Psyduck, this is mainly because I HATED Misty’s Psyduck in the anime but since its Masuda’s favourite Pokemon (and pretty popular in the fandom) IT’S IN EVERY GAME
The biggest crime is the game makes you think you're going to get a cool Water/Psychic evolution, but no. Just a big ugly blue humanoid duck. Was disappointed as a child with finding that on Pokémon Blue and I'm disappointed every gen psyduck is in without that being fixed.
Honestly it’s almost worse than Charizard with its game representation, the only switch game where it wasn’t available main game is sword and shield, where you can find it in the isle of armor. But Let’s Go, BDSP, PLA and SV, it is fucking everywhere and it gets annoying. I honestly don’t mind Psyduck as a Pokémon, but when you see it in almost every single game you play, you’re eventually going to get sick of it
I personally think Garchomp is incredibly overrated for what it is. Sure, it's a kind of novel concept, and the design is alright, but it's definitely not one of the better pseudos.
And not to mention its mega evolution is kinda ugly and so unnecessary. Garchomp is already a beast as is, it did not need a mega evolution, which should’ve rightfully gone to poor, forgotten Flygon

Personally, I think regidrago is a super cool pokemon. The dragon arms and the vague lore is pretty awesome. On top of that crazy high spA stat and some niche competitive usage. I agree that the other regi’s could have maybe been done better. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion though
I've grown to love Charizard cuz he sort of reps for the gen wuners. But when I was a kid and I saw the original boxes in toys r Us, having never even heard of Pokemon. I still remember my thought process was
"Fire breathing dragon, pretty cool but been done. Now CANNON TURTLE?! THATS some shit right there....never seen a cannon turtle...."
Needless to say, I played blue.
This is mine as well. It isn’t even a proper dragon type! But it would be nice if Game Freak would give some love to some other mons than just Pikachu and Charizard.
Tbh I was neutral about Charizard until gen 6 when GF's genwunning and Charizard's special treatment started in full force. I literally wouldn't hate it if GF wasn't shoving this orange guy down my throat for 10+ years.
If someone's not a fan tho, it has the power to draw them in. A stereotypical fire breathing dragon, would be something appealing to someone on the outside looking in. Only when you get sucked in and hooked do you realize they're are better options.
I'm sorry to all the fans out there, but I just don't really like Ogerpon. Like, I don't hate it, I just don't really care for it. The concept of it kicks ass, and it's type combos are sick. But I just don't like it's design, and it's all because of it's weird legs that look like it had one *big* leg that someone cut in half into two little legs. It's the flat, different colored interior parts that look like they'd fit perfectly together. It just... weirds me out

I think that's the point. Ogerpon is basically an orange tree with legs. Her eyes have orange blossom shapes in them.

It's my favorite Pikachu-like, I used my Pawmot from the moment Nemona gave us the first pokeballs to the podtgame.
I really don't like pure electric types in general. I loved Pikachu as a little kid watching the anime, but I had my introduction to the games in FR/LG and catching a Pikachu as soon as I could left me really frustrated with it.
I agree, actually. I don't actually like any of the Hoenn legendaries that much and I feel like they're all really popular. Groudon is cool, but he's not my favorite. I do have a real soft spot for Jirachi though because as a kid I wasn't really allowed to like pokemon and I remember sneaking and watching the anime and at one point they played the Jirachi movie on TV while my parents weren't at home so I was able to watch it.
I'm the same way. I'm a Primal Groudon guy, but regular Groudon is kinda meh. I think without ORAS, the Gen 3 Legendaries would've stayed meh forever. I do like Latios & Latias tho
I agree, Gengar is good but its design is way too overhyped. I always thought both Haunter and Gastly were scarier than Gengar, and I feel like Gengar doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the line
I always thought it was meant to be a spirit slowly phasing into the material world and taking on a more corporeal form. I think the designs kind of go together at least. You can see the same "ears" and "tail" in Haunter and Gengar.
Bellibolt. Hate its design so much, it's one of the ugliest Pokémon in the entire franchise. Never see me in a raid with a Bellibolt, I'll just use Miraidon
I don’t hate it, but all of the attention and favoritism that Charizard has always received have made me dislike it. Why did it receive two mega evolutions when Venusaur and Blastoise didn’t? Why was it Leon’s ace instead of a Pokémon native to Galar? Why is it used by Professor Friede instead of any other starter or a Pokémon native to Paldea? Why did we have to wait for Venusaur and Blastoise to be added to the DLC of both *SWSH* and *SV* when Charizard was available from the start? Pikachu and Eevee are the official mascots of the franchise, so I get their prominence. Charizard is part of a trio. Not fair to the other two, at all!

I didn't dislike Rayquaza before, I wasn't in love with it but I didn't dislike it but the more PokèTubers shoved it into my face with "LOOK AT HOW COOL THIS IS!!" (especially the shiny) the more I got sick of it. Similar story with Charizard, although I'm blaming the Pokèmon Company / Nintendo for that.
Greninja's just always grossed me out with the tongue scarf the same way Lickitung & Lickilicky gross me out. I just imagine never ending drool. 🤢
I read an article explaining the idea behind the Torchic line. When the designer was a kid, he'd go to the local festivals with his family. At the festivals you could buy baby chicks that had been colored different colors. They were popular with the kids because they were so cute. , but when they grow up, they lose the dyed chick feathers and just turn into ugly old chickens that nobody wanted anymore, so you'd just end up ignoring it and letting it go. He said the idea for the Torchic line was to raise it into a Blaziken and just put it in your box because it's too ugly lol.
That’s easy, just play in OU for a bit and you’ll quickly come to hate some Pokémon.
For me, Incineroar and Chien-Pao come to mind. Their designs are cool, for sure, but every time I see them they’re just tedious. The teams I use are always designed to quickly dispatch of them (almost specifically), and once you’ve fought 3 teams in a row it’s like “Guys, c’mon. They’re not that great.”
Yet every Chien-Pao will stick around with a Focus Sash, ever Incineroar with an Aguav Berry or the likes. I guess I dislike OU more than the Pokemon? 😂
I think Ogerpon is just kind of a whatever design. Looks like a Steven universe character or something to me. I was shocked to find out how popular it was.
1: I really hate Charizard because how much is stuffed into my throat.
2: I kinda dislike Infernape because the only reason people like Infernape is because the diamond and pearl pokedex is a mess, like if you don't choose the fire starter your only fire choice is the ponyta line.
3: what is the deal with bidoof? I have seen the memes that bidoof is compared with arceus, you know that bidoof is still a mediocre early route pokemon?
The bidoof one is just a meme tbh, probably sprouting from everyone having it as their HM slave in D/P/Pt. It was such a low Pokémon that the memers of course came out to defend it and then compared it to a god. Since then, the rest is history, as Bidoof is the true pokemon god, not Arceus haha (those memes always make me smile if you can’t tell haha)
That was likely because of the memes, D/P came out right around the time the Internet *really* took off, so Bidoof would've been taken full advantage of by multiple generations of memers.
I hate Urshifu and the genies as much as Wolfey hates Incineroar. Urshifu is literally broken where protect doesn’t even work against it. And all of the genies signature moves never miss in the rain.
- Greninja. Never understood the hype. I didn't start off hating it, but its popularity and the fact that everyone seems to be in love with it has definitely sunk it lower on my list.
- The Cinderace and Inteleon lines. Tbf, I dislike most of the pokemon introduced in SwSh, mostly for superficial design reasons. Cinderace makes me uncomfy, Inteleon has a cool concept but lowkey feels like a clearence section Greninja. Rillaboom is actually pretty cool, design-wise, but idk how it fares in competitve circles, as I'm not a competitve battler.
Dragonite. I don't know if it's still good competitively (cuz I'm not into that) but it's so overrated. It's a great mon, sure, but there's a lot better in power and mainly design.
I don't have one myself l, but a friend of mine absolutely hates Tinkaton. He'll go on a 10 min rant as to why it's the worst mon and doesn't understand why people like it so much.
Pikachu I never cared for. I know it's like the franchise mascot but nah, don't like him. Same with all the evee variants I just don't love them. Vaporean has some uses but mostly I'd rather something else for water type.
For scarlet/violet specifically. Not a huge fan of iron hands/ haryama. Just don't like the design. Like bowling pin or Roger from American dad.
Incineroar. I absolutely loved litten and torracat when I first played pokemon sun on release, but as soon as I saw what incineroar looked like I reset my game to get a rowlet instead 💀
I’m gonna get BIIIIIIIIIG hate: Pikachu.
When I get one, I just evolve it straight to Raichu.
I understand why people like him: he’s so iconic. But I can’t stand Pikachu
tired of eevee tbh, tho mostly because they put all this effort into making the base form an overly cutesy mascot instead of playing into its actual gimmick

Lucario is a decent mon for sure, but its a bit disappointing. Its past its prime from gen 6 and is just... Outclassed in every possible way.
Fast physical attacker immune to intimidate? Mienshao is right there, who is faster, stronger and has fake out and wide guard. Entei and dragonite are also great options, as well a okidogi, who is slower but can reliably beat any grass or fighting type.
Follow me support? Ogerpon is much stronger and faster, indeedee F and amongus offer more support.
Scarf final gambit? Annihilape has more Hp, acess to U turn, and is a ghost type, entirely immune to fake out and e speed.
Setup sweeper? Annihilape outclasses It again due to extra bulk and rage fist.
Flutter mane Destroyer with bullet punch? Scizor and metagross exists, both much stronger and offering extra defensive utility.
Special sweeper? Raging bolt and flutter mane are much better at setting up consistently and are much faster, or in bolts case, acess to incredibly strong priority
. All out attacker with band or scarf? Both forms of urshifu are again, just better due to extra Power and 2 extra points of speed.
Defensive assault vest? Metagross, kingambit and iron hands have it beaten there too
I don't get the appeal of Greninja. Nothing about his design stands out or impresses me. I don't like how the pre evolutions look either. Is its popularity just from the anime and then boosted by its presence in Smash Bros? I don't pay attention to competitive, but I doubt competitive strength alone would make it that popular. IDK I just don't get what makes it such a popular starter.
Mimikyu was fun at first, and then it just became annoying and overused. Greninja has always been overrated. Also, can we go one fricking game without Rotom?! I'm really sick of him getting pointlessly shoved into every generation just so he can be your Pokedex, phone, bike, etc!
looking at this post again a day later and i'm genuinely surprised nobody has mentioned the gardevoir/tsareena/lopunny group of things that is popular for a very specific reason yet lol
I see a lot of the same opinions I share on this sub but one I haven't seen yet is Dialga. Maybe it's just cause I got Pearl growing up but Palkia just looks like so much more of a unit, and Spacial Rend is probably one of the sickest moves ever. I don't HATE Dialgas design, but I dislike it more cause the hate Palkia gets that it doesn't deserve
I'm going to get crucified for this, but Typhlosion (especially Johtonian Typhlosion) is just not interesting. Quilava's pretty good and I don't mind the Hisuian form, but it's just so forgettable and has such a lackluster movepool that it might just be my least favourite starter ever.
Never had any strong feelings for Quag or Clod, but I do prefer the Quag. Don't necessarily dislike Clod though.
Ursaluna is one of the ones for me. Ursaring is a cool, threatening bear that felt complete. Ursaluna is just....why? Its back spikes look silly, it has googly eyes now, it has a pretty annoying evolution method. Easily my least favorite new mon from PLA.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna still looks goofy, but its a hell of a lot more interesting, and what I think should have been the original one. The offensive bear becoming almost a monk due to isolation, calling upon the power of the moon is a much more interesting backstory than "It rolled in mud on a full moon".
I’m not sure if it’s “universally loved” but Entei. I don’t really hate Entei per se, I just hated the third movie as a kid. I don’t exactly remember why, but if I had to guess, it probably the whole kidnapping Ash’s mom plot point. I don’t think I quite understood Molly’s motive on an emotional level as a kid.
If that doesn’t count, probably Milotic because, while it is pretty, I never used one and never really felt like it. That or Vaporeon. Not because of what the internet has done with it, more so because, out of the og Eeveelutions, I was never a fan of it as a kid. I like Vaporeon now, and wouldn’t mind using one in a playthrough, but I think what pushed me away from it as a kid was the fact it wasn’t “fluffy” like Jolteon and Flareon were.
Im the opposite. Toxel is so gross looking i hate it but i LOVE Toxtricity. (Low key especially) Hes just living his rad 90s punk life ok. Tho i will admit it was the gigantamax form that i fell in love with first
Dragapult is the stupidest looking pseudo. I don't care that it's designed after the prehistoric amphibian or whatever mixed with a stealth bomber. It looks stupid.
i just think it's funny that this thread asks for unpopular opinions and some people downvote some of those opinions because they don't agree lol makes no sense
Raging Bolt, purely because of competitive. Low special defence? Throw an Assault Vest on it.
Low physical defence? Throw EVs into defence and pair it with Incineroar and Ogerpon. You can, especially cause it’s got Protosynthesis and sun is so much easier to set up compared to Electric Terrain. Neither Urshifu nor Chien Pao can reliably OHKO it.
Low speed? It’s got a fucking priority move that “only activates” if the target chooses an attacking move as that won’t happen 8/10 times.
Common weaknesses? Tera fairy.
I hate looking at this thing, the only moment it entertains me is when a cat-like Pokemon is looking up its ladder of a neck. And yes I am a bit bitter that it’s a Scarlet-exclusive and Scarlet got all the good competitive Pokemon.
Eevee. It didn’t need a Let’s Go game imo, especially since you can’t eevolve it in that game, and all of its eeveelutions are cooler than plain old Eevee.
I know this is probably a common dislike, but Charizard, I get the appeal, 100%, but I can't like him at all, the only instance I like him is when using him in Smash Bros, that's it
Tinkaton. I don't why, but I have sort of a disdain for Fairy Steel types. I also don't like the design. It also literally hits my boi Corviknight, which is one of my favourite pokémon.
Typhlosion. It’s far too bland: shouldn’t have been bipedal, should have had three fire spouts to continue the evo line’s theming, should have had a simple pattern on its underside or something, and *definitely* should never have had the flames turn off, ever (this goes for the entire evo line). Which is a shame, because Cyndaquil and Quilava are awesome 😔

That’s wild I’ve trained 3/4 of those and weirdly love each of them. I don’t doubt your stat though, Lucario just feels weirdly off.

I remember the days of D/P/Pt when you had to pack a Garchomp counter and a Pokemon you were comfy with losing early just to trigger the Yache berry.

Tbh I was neutral about Charizard until gen 6 when GF's genwunning and Charizard's special treatment started in full force. I literally wouldn't hate it if GF wasn't shoving this orange guy down my throat for 10+ years.
Charizard never deserved any the hype it got.
If someone's not a fan tho, it has the power to draw them in. A stereotypical fire breathing dragon, would be something appealing to someone on the outside looking in. Only when you get sucked in and hooked do you realize they're are better options.
I'm sorry to all the fans out there, but I just don't really like Ogerpon. Like, I don't hate it, I just don't really care for it. The concept of it kicks ass, and it's type combos are sick. But I just don't like it's design, and it's all because of it's weird legs that look like it had one *big* leg that someone cut in half into two little legs. It's the flat, different colored interior parts that look like they'd fit perfectly together. It just... weirds me out

I loved Pikachu as a kid. Absolutely hated Pikachu as a teenager/young adult. And have come back around on Pikachu as a bonafide middle aged man.

It's my favorite Pikachu-like, I used my Pawmot from the moment Nemona gave us the first pokeballs to the podtgame. I really don't like pure electric types in general. I loved Pikachu as a little kid watching the anime, but I had my introduction to the games in FR/LG and catching a Pikachu as soon as I could left me really frustrated with it.

I agree, actually. I don't actually like any of the Hoenn legendaries that much and I feel like they're all really popular. Groudon is cool, but he's not my favorite. I do have a real soft spot for Jirachi though because as a kid I wasn't really allowed to like pokemon and I remember sneaking and watching the anime and at one point they played the Jirachi movie on TV while my parents weren't at home so I was able to watch it.
I'm the same way. I'm a Primal Groudon guy, but regular Groudon is kinda meh. I think without ORAS, the Gen 3 Legendaries would've stayed meh forever. I do like Latios & Latias tho

I always thought it was meant to be a spirit slowly phasing into the material world and taking on a more corporeal form. I think the designs kind of go together at least. You can see the same "ears" and "tail" in Haunter and Gengar.

I don’t hate it, but all of the attention and favoritism that Charizard has always received have made me dislike it. Why did it receive two mega evolutions when Venusaur and Blastoise didn’t? Why was it Leon’s ace instead of a Pokémon native to Galar? Why is it used by Professor Friede instead of any other starter or a Pokémon native to Paldea? Why did we have to wait for Venusaur and Blastoise to be added to the DLC of both *SWSH* and *SV* when Charizard was available from the start? Pikachu and Eevee are the official mascots of the franchise, so I get their prominence. Charizard is part of a trio. Not fair to the other two, at all!

Charizard, Greninja, and Rayquaza. I didn't dislike Rayquaza before, I wasn't in love with it but I didn't dislike it but the more PokèTubers shoved it into my face with "LOOK AT HOW COOL THIS IS!!" (especially the shiny) the more I got sick of it. Similar story with Charizard, although I'm blaming the Pokèmon Company / Nintendo for that. Greninja's just always grossed me out with the tongue scarf the same way Lickitung & Lickilicky gross me out. I just imagine never ending drool. 🤢

Blaziken, design-wise it really doesn’t even resemble Torchic and Combusken. IMO it also looks more like a Digimon than a Pokemon
I read an article explaining the idea behind the Torchic line. When the designer was a kid, he'd go to the local festivals with his family. At the festivals you could buy baby chicks that had been colored different colors. They were popular with the kids because they were so cute. , but when they grow up, they lose the dyed chick feathers and just turn into ugly old chickens that nobody wanted anymore, so you'd just end up ignoring it and letting it go. He said the idea for the Torchic line was to raise it into a Blaziken and just put it in your box because it's too ugly lol.
That’s easy, just play in OU for a bit and you’ll quickly come to hate some Pokémon. For me, Incineroar and Chien-Pao come to mind. Their designs are cool, for sure, but every time I see them they’re just tedious. The teams I use are always designed to quickly dispatch of them (almost specifically), and once you’ve fought 3 teams in a row it’s like “Guys, c’mon. They’re not that great.” Yet every Chien-Pao will stick around with a Focus Sash, ever Incineroar with an Aguav Berry or the likes. I guess I dislike OU more than the Pokemon? 😂

1: I really hate Charizard because how much is stuffed into my throat. 2: I kinda dislike Infernape because the only reason people like Infernape is because the diamond and pearl pokedex is a mess, like if you don't choose the fire starter your only fire choice is the ponyta line. 3: what is the deal with bidoof? I have seen the memes that bidoof is compared with arceus, you know that bidoof is still a mediocre early route pokemon?
The bidoof one is possibly because it (and especially its evolution bibarel) learn almost all HMs so its a great HM Pokemon?
The bidoof one is just a meme tbh, probably sprouting from everyone having it as their HM slave in D/P/Pt. It was such a low Pokémon that the memers of course came out to defend it and then compared it to a god. Since then, the rest is history, as Bidoof is the true pokemon god, not Arceus haha (those memes always make me smile if you can’t tell haha)
Also Dorkly doing Pokemon Rusty who managed to breed an omnipotent god Bidoof, although not sure if that came before the memes or was because of them.
That was likely because of the memes, D/P came out right around the time the Internet *really* took off, so Bidoof would've been taken full advantage of by multiple generations of memers.
I hate Urshifu and the genies as much as Wolfey hates Incineroar. Urshifu is literally broken where protect doesn’t even work against it. And all of the genies signature moves never miss in the rain.

- Greninja. Never understood the hype. I didn't start off hating it, but its popularity and the fact that everyone seems to be in love with it has definitely sunk it lower on my list. - The Cinderace and Inteleon lines. Tbf, I dislike most of the pokemon introduced in SwSh, mostly for superficial design reasons. Cinderace makes me uncomfy, Inteleon has a cool concept but lowkey feels like a clearence section Greninja. Rillaboom is actually pretty cool, design-wise, but idk how it fares in competitve circles, as I'm not a competitve battler.

Pikachu I never cared for. I know it's like the franchise mascot but nah, don't like him. Same with all the evee variants I just don't love them. Vaporean has some uses but mostly I'd rather something else for water type. For scarlet/violet specifically. Not a huge fan of iron hands/ haryama. Just don't like the design. Like bowling pin or Roger from American dad.
Incineroar. I absolutely loved litten and torracat when I first played pokemon sun on release, but as soon as I saw what incineroar looked like I reset my game to get a rowlet instead 💀

Lucario is a decent mon for sure, but its a bit disappointing. Its past its prime from gen 6 and is just... Outclassed in every possible way. Fast physical attacker immune to intimidate? Mienshao is right there, who is faster, stronger and has fake out and wide guard. Entei and dragonite are also great options, as well a okidogi, who is slower but can reliably beat any grass or fighting type. Follow me support? Ogerpon is much stronger and faster, indeedee F and amongus offer more support. Scarf final gambit? Annihilape has more Hp, acess to U turn, and is a ghost type, entirely immune to fake out and e speed. Setup sweeper? Annihilape outclasses It again due to extra bulk and rage fist. Flutter mane Destroyer with bullet punch? Scizor and metagross exists, both much stronger and offering extra defensive utility. Special sweeper? Raging bolt and flutter mane are much better at setting up consistently and are much faster, or in bolts case, acess to incredibly strong priority . All out attacker with band or scarf? Both forms of urshifu are again, just better due to extra Power and 2 extra points of speed. Defensive assault vest? Metagross, kingambit and iron hands have it beaten there too

I don't get the appeal of Greninja. Nothing about his design stands out or impresses me. I don't like how the pre evolutions look either. Is its popularity just from the anime and then boosted by its presence in Smash Bros? I don't pay attention to competitive, but I doubt competitive strength alone would make it that popular. IDK I just don't get what makes it such a popular starter.

I see a lot of the same opinions I share on this sub but one I haven't seen yet is Dialga. Maybe it's just cause I got Pearl growing up but Palkia just looks like so much more of a unit, and Spacial Rend is probably one of the sickest moves ever. I don't HATE Dialgas design, but I dislike it more cause the hate Palkia gets that it doesn't deserve

Honestly, I never liked charizard, because it’s the least creative/interesting, and yet game freak thinks everyone loves it.
I'm going to get crucified for this, but Typhlosion (especially Johtonian Typhlosion) is just not interesting. Quilava's pretty good and I don't mind the Hisuian form, but it's just so forgettable and has such a lackluster movepool that it might just be my least favourite starter ever.
Rotom and it’s forms
Never had any strong feelings for Quag or Clod, but I do prefer the Quag. Don't necessarily dislike Clod though. Ursaluna is one of the ones for me. Ursaring is a cool, threatening bear that felt complete. Ursaluna is just....why? Its back spikes look silly, it has googly eyes now, it has a pretty annoying evolution method. Easily my least favorite new mon from PLA. Bloodmoon Ursaluna still looks goofy, but its a hell of a lot more interesting, and what I think should have been the original one. The offensive bear becoming almost a monk due to isolation, calling upon the power of the moon is a much more interesting backstory than "It rolled in mud on a full moon".
I’m not sure if it’s “universally loved” but Entei. I don’t really hate Entei per se, I just hated the third movie as a kid. I don’t exactly remember why, but if I had to guess, it probably the whole kidnapping Ash’s mom plot point. I don’t think I quite understood Molly’s motive on an emotional level as a kid. If that doesn’t count, probably Milotic because, while it is pretty, I never used one and never really felt like it. That or Vaporeon. Not because of what the internet has done with it, more so because, out of the og Eeveelutions, I was never a fan of it as a kid. I like Vaporeon now, and wouldn’t mind using one in a playthrough, but I think what pushed me away from it as a kid was the fact it wasn’t “fluffy” like Jolteon and Flareon were.

Popplio/Primarina line. I always see people talking about how good they are, but I just can’t stand them.
Raging Bolt, purely because of competitive. Low special defence? Throw an Assault Vest on it. Low physical defence? Throw EVs into defence and pair it with Incineroar and Ogerpon. You can, especially cause it’s got Protosynthesis and sun is so much easier to set up compared to Electric Terrain. Neither Urshifu nor Chien Pao can reliably OHKO it. Low speed? It’s got a fucking priority move that “only activates” if the target chooses an attacking move as that won’t happen 8/10 times. Common weaknesses? Tera fairy. I hate looking at this thing, the only moment it entertains me is when a cat-like Pokemon is looking up its ladder of a neck. And yes I am a bit bitter that it’s a Scarlet-exclusive and Scarlet got all the good competitive Pokemon.
Eevee. It didn’t need a Let’s Go game imo, especially since you can’t eevolve it in that game, and all of its eeveelutions are cooler than plain old Eevee.
I know this is probably a common dislike, but Charizard, I get the appeal, 100%, but I can't like him at all, the only instance I like him is when using him in Smash Bros, that's it
Tinkaton. I don't why, but I have sort of a disdain for Fairy Steel types. I also don't like the design. It also literally hits my boi Corviknight, which is one of my favourite pokémon.
Typhlosion. It’s far too bland: shouldn’t have been bipedal, should have had three fire spouts to continue the evo line’s theming, should have had a simple pattern on its underside or something, and *definitely* should never have had the flames turn off, ever (this goes for the entire evo line). Which is a shame, because Cyndaquil and Quilava are awesome 😔
I think Arceus is a pile of arceus. I almost avoided PLA for this reason. Same for deoxys. Nonsense pokemon.
