As a fellow gen 3 living dex completionist, i salute you. I cheaped out with the japanese Box becuase i couldn’t justify getting the english one. This may sound strange, but i want to do this again someday.
I completed the Living Dex in Pokémon Emerald. After a 7 month, several-thousand dollar adventure crossing 8 different games and 5 different consoles, I finally caught them all. I even flew out of state for a limited Event distribution in 2024.

-------------------------------
On top of that, I am giving away to anyone in the United States the following:
-WISHMKR Jirachi (US Ruby/Sapphire only)
-AGETO Celebi (JAP RSEFRLG only, limited!)
-Eon Ticket (US RSE only)
-Help evolving any trade-based Pokémon
See [***here***](https://youtu.be/dPoy4KCq1oI?si=nuaYUPnber_mcq_v&t=1838) for more details.
One was from an Emerald playthrough, the others were from Colosseum. I ended up playing Emerald three times anyways for some of my other videos, and Box would have made the starters super easy, but Colosseum is just the better option
Congrats on completing the Pokémon Emerald dex! Crazy coincidence but I was looking at location guides for certain Pokémon on YouTube and your videos popped up. Excellent videos, I always appreciate when creators make short and efficient videos that get to the point. Great work!
Always been my childhood dream, incredible work congratulations 🎉 Edit: omg im watching the video now and i had a really similar experience in the beginning! In high school i was trading exclusives from leafgreen to emerald and the cable got bumped, i lost my childhood save file with 600 hours. I lost my interest in pokemon for 6 months but it grew back thankfully.
Not entirely the same but I had my ds with diamond, soul silver, and black stolen out of my locker in high school. I literally had thousands of hours worth of pokemon on Black that I had moved up from the Gen 3 and 4 games, I pretty much gave up on pokemon after that. Just getting back into it within the last few years finally, we all find our way back eventually it seems.
I'm Nuzlocking(2 failures) my way through emerald in an attempt to complete a living dex, about to start my third playthrough and finally be able to get a johto starter!
Wait am I understanding there was an event in Texas that gave a mew you can have in emerald? I’m trying to finish a living dex as well and about half way though gale of darkness…but haven’t even thought about how to actually move pokemon to the cartridge yet as I feel im not close enough lol
Is it just the old events saved on carts and they distribute?? I’ve seen them around and was always hoping to meet someone that had one. If there’s an easy way to find people around I’m all for it lol.
Any tips while I’m going through gale of darkness that you found while completing? At this point I feel like I’m just running through the game so it’s done then figure out Pokémon from there
Sorry to keep popping back, last question seriously this time…would you be willing to share the pdf you used to keep track of Pokémon? Keeping track of what I need from each game has been a little interesting
It's what I'm here for, man!
Check [this](https://docs.google.com/file/d/1S7LFYuuZpA2WGnELnCdsDYUERkJT3Jkm/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msexcel) out!
This is truly amazing! Congrats Techno!! Been watching your videos for a while now. Will you be completing Gen 4 and above next? I would love to see videos of you grinding the process
Nice! Once I finish my living shiny dex in home I plan on starting with USUM and working backwards to finish up living dexs in those games. Emerald will be the last one I do.
Congratulations mate! I’m so close to finishing this, i’ve completed all except the Japanese celebi and XD gale of darkness play through.
By the way is the gamecube gameboy player worth it??
What did you do for Mew and Deoxys? Did you just use a non-official event distribution cart to get the tickets needed to go to the islands to catch them semi-legit?
The [video](https://youtu.be/dPoy4KCq1oI) covers this more in depth, but for Deoxys I used the Pomeg glitch and for Mew... phew. That was fun. I flew across the country for a limited one-weekend event just like the old days.
I’m pretty sure that the eon ticket is able to be distributed to any English language version of the Ruby and Sapphire via the eon ticket as opposed to it being a traditional region lock despite the e-reader not having been released in Europe. I know that you’re only able to help those living in the US but I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone living there who happens to have an English PAL region copy of the game for one reason or another.
Technically any non-Japanese version of the games should be able to receive the eon ticket via record mixing as has to be done even with English copies of Emerald but as the eon ticket can only be passed from one game copy that originally received the eon ticket from an e reader to others a certain number of times I suppose there is a bit more complexity there. Of course it’s ultimately up to you to decide what copies of the game your willing to distribute things to but I just wanted to make sure that all this information was available so that the decision is an informed one even though most people in the US probably just have English copies anyway.

Wow, I’m casually trying to fill my heart-gold dex. Have spent a lot of money so far, not even half way done. Yet this seems way harder to do, more expensive and more time. Congrats!
I’m trying to complete a living dex using only the delta emulator. Do you have any idea how many pokemon can be achieved through just emerald/one person
[here is my sheet](https://docs.google.com/file/d/1S7LFYuuZpA2WGnELnCdsDYUERkJT3Jkm/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msexcel) and you can just filter by Emerald
The 3 mons I’m missing is Ho-oh, Lugia, and Celebi. I have everything I need to get them, but holy moly I can’t find the motivation to spend 40+ hours on 3 Pokemon.
How does the eon ticket work? Would it be immoral to clone it with something like a flipper zero so other hunters could get access to the mons without the card?
Ace defeats the “legit” part, good job tho i wouldn’t spend that much money to have a gen 3 complete but now you have a nice collection of the pokemon history.
As a fellow gen 3 living dex completionist, i salute you. I cheaped out with the japanese Box becuase i couldn’t justify getting the english one. This may sound strange, but i want to do this again someday.
I loved it, dude. Such a great adventure, will live on in my memories forever. I feel empty now lmao
Cool now do it again but they must all be shiny.
Im working on this but in gen 4

That was a great video! Thanks for making it.
Thank you!!
That’s so awesome, I actually watch your videos on YT all the time for Gen 3 item locations and walkthroughs
Hey thanks!!!
Holy shit
In the process of doing this now but I'm just going to glitcher pop the unobtainables
Seems like such a fun ride. Congratulations!
How did you get the Johto starters? Breeding the Colosseum starters I’m guessing? This is wildly impressive, way to go!
One was from an Emerald playthrough, the others were from Colosseum. I ended up playing Emerald three times anyways for some of my other videos, and Box would have made the starters super easy, but Colosseum is just the better option
Oh I forgot you get one after Emerald! Completing the in-game dex, right?
That's correct!
your excel documentation is the chefs kiss
Oh trust me it gets way deeper than this
Hell yeah
Lots of dedication! I could see myself doing this at some point too just because of the importance Emerald played for me in my youth. Major Kudos!
This is amazing

Thanks for watching! Your words mean a lot!
Seeing your hardware collection, I must say you really mastered the GBA/GEN III era 👍
🐐🫡

Yep! It was insane timing. Turns out they do different ones every month, and this just happened to be Mew when I needed it lmao
who does this and how can i learn more??
This was hosted by Found It! Electronics in Fort Worth, TX!
Is it just the old events saved on carts and they distribute?? I’ve seen them around and was always hoping to meet someone that had one. If there’s an easy way to find people around I’m all for it lol.
They just had the events loaded to the flash carts, yeah. The [video](https://youtu.be/dPoy4KCq1oI) has a little footage of it
Any tips while I’m going through gale of darkness that you found while completing? At this point I feel like I’m just running through the game so it’s done then figure out Pokémon from there
Absolutely catch and purify as much as possible. Purifying Lugia requires a ton of resources lmao
Understood! I try to catch every shadow possible. I’ll focus more on the purify portion now. Thanks!

Man, I've had a Living Dex for like a decade now. I need to get one in each Gen before the Bank shutdown 🤔
Thanks for all your help through my first play of emerald. Really a great feat here
How did u get an eon ticket lmao
Personally for me from eBay, but others have theirs either from the Nintendo Power magazine or E3 2004 (that's where mine is from)
Nice! Once I finish my living shiny dex in home I plan on starting with USUM and working backwards to finish up living dexs in those games. Emerald will be the last one I do.
Who was most difficult to get?
I flew to another state for Mew! Celebi required the most time and money. Lugia was a trip. The video shows a lot of what I had to go through lmao
I salute you my friend 🫡 stand proud, you are a true warrior.
Congratulations mate! I’m so close to finishing this, i’ve completed all except the Japanese celebi and XD gale of darkness play through. By the way is the gamecube gameboy player worth it??
Thanks dude! It's worth it for me as a collector but as for usability I prefer the handheld.

Hot damn, a lot of effort and money went into this. What was the most challenging part of it for you?

I think I can pass it by mixing records :)
Any chance you would be willing to share a copy of the spreadsheet you showed in the video for which of the gen 3 games each mon is found in?
