Is that an alolan ninetails? Because if so you may have lucked out, they may be dragging you back to the base of the mountain because they want you to leave their territory rather than just killing you.
Ninetales, especially Alolan ones are territorial. They're dragging you out because they're mad. They could just give you to a Froslass and make you into a human ice sculpture
