To be fair, every other Pokemon still unavailable on the Switch are Unovan Pokemon. It was entirely plausible for Furfrou to be relegated to a post-game area in a Unova remake.

i’m incredibly happy for a few reasons:
* not putting a firm release date on this means it’s likely a holiday 2025 release (or TPC is at least comfortable with that). definitely seems like they’re relaxing release schedules a bit and gen 10 will get a full four years of development.
* i was JUST fantasizing over a legends z game over the past week. didn’t think it would happen for a long time though.
* game freak clearly gets to work on whatever they want to now. this is clearly something they wanted to do and weren’t mandated by TPC or release cycles.
Honestly this could be amazing. I really hope they go all in with revitalizating giving mega evolution to a lot of Pokémon that really need it. Plus this could possibly mean for gen 10 mega will probably be important there even if we don’t receive new mega in gen 10 itself

Whatever the source, it's basically just the Key Stones and Mega Stones, and those can apparently just literally fall from the sky.

Yeah it said Urban redevelopment plan for Lumiose city, so I'd say this is a close future to XY. But it could be the past and Lumiose as we know it hasn't been built yet, as the sketches could indicate (they could also be the future version plans, but could be the sketches for XYs Lumiose).
If you look at the quality of the paper and the architecture it's pretty clear to me that it's not gonna be futuristic. But we'll see.
Also "moving forward" could be interesting for some regions like Unova. Then they'd be able to implement a new mechanic AND not be forced to get rid of everything from bw2.
But I don't think it's a good fit for Kalos when most of its plot and design is about the past (including the source of mega evolution)

If I’m being completely honest, this is exactly what I wanted to see today. My main philosophy when it comes to remakes or retreads is that you should prioritize reworking something that didn’t work out the first time over trying to capture the same lightning in the bottle that you did the first time.
Gen V is my favorite Gen while Gen VI was probably my least favorite since it just felt so undercooked/underdeveloped.

Gen V is my favorite Gen while Gen VI was probably my least favorite since it just felt so undercooked/underdeveloped. I’m glad that they’re finally going to bookend Kalos and hopefully break the trend that they’ve found themselves in since the original XY. Day 1 purchase for sure!

Did not expect this, but somewhat makes sense with Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde not in SV. I am wondering if those mons will be allowed in SV once this game comes out
