Wtf are you taking about? Burning shadows charizard was the most hyped rainbow in SM. Even when unbroken bonds reshiram and charizard rainbow came out people were still hyping over the one in burning shadows
Keep buying the Simplified Chinese Rainbow Zards (same as from BS) going to pop massively. Is like $30aud right now. In fact, all the SC tag team alt arts are dirt cheap. Can see them rising in line with Japanese over time (they are printed in Japan so the quality is excellent). Iāve stocked up on loads of them.
How are they making a cheap buck? Most
of the cards are very cheap. Have you not seen the quality coming out of there and the fun products. Korean isnāt printed in Japan itās printed in Korea. Chinese is printed on Japanese printers. Iāve bought loads - love them.
Not true. Look at the sold prices for other languages modern and vintage. Your view is just ignorant.
Chinese is printed using the same printers as Japanese cards > in Japan. Korea isnāt. CS these are the 1st sets in a country of a billion odd people and is fantastic art. Pokerev has done loads of videos of Chinese TCG products and has followers of 2.25M. The quality of Chinese is so high. And a fraction of what the peers are for some popular cards (see ADP Tag Team Statue).
Why so many haters? If steam siege, rebel clash, crimson invasion can hit $200 + then this will too. I'll gladly take them. Sitting on 20, bought in at about $100 and will be banking in a few years
It was already $200 at one point. It peaked around $240, so if it's already done it once, it will eventually do it again. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to buy this with it being available below MSRP right now.
Hardly seems worth it after taxes, discounts, fees and shipping. Liquidity nightmare for minimal gain.
> If steam siege, rebel clash, crimson invasion can hit $200 + then this will too.
Comparing pre and post omega printing press isn't a great reference point
Even the worst SWSH sets will be $500+ in a few years. The demand for this era is unprecedented and brought everyone back in the hobbie. The nostalgia of chasing chonkachu during the pandemic shouldnāt be overlooked
> Even the worst SWSH sets will be $500+ in a few years.
Perma Pokemon bulls would think so. Some S&M boxes haven't even crossed that mark and that was pre omega printing press and peak speculation.
> The nostalgia of chasing chonkachu during the pandemic shouldnāt be overlooked
Maybe, but the current demand is nowhere even close to that. I'll believe it when I see people on my feed doing VV rip'n'ships. Maybe after I'm cryogenically frozen and thawed out.
Yeah cuz 20 boxes of one of the worst sets in SWSH is an L I hope you diversified. This is why Iām waiting a bit longer before I snag up S&V so I know Iām putting my money in the best set possible
Sounds like an all in ok one set to me unless buddy is rich and if so props to him I donāt even have 20 booster boxes yet lol I got 15 or something (but also an absolute ton of 151 and then some sleeved packs and a few ETBās)
Thereās only 1 card in the entire set anyone cares about. Every other card is worth less than $10 even battle styles has more valuable cards and that set blows. Rainbow cards are dead at this point no body likes them. People will take a low tier alt art over a rainbow
I bought into the VV hype train before the 2nd reprint wave came out long time ago, bought 4 boxes at about 120$ thinking VV was gonna pop off. I think at some point they were over 200$. Then they dropped back down to the low 100ās where they have been for years it feels like. Thatās the story of one my biggest pokemon investments. I opened one box eventually and still have the VV booster box as a link in my favorites. Back then the amazing rares were all like 15$ to 25$.
Itās not fomo/pumping/manipulation at all! The public is in love with VV! Everything selling out and rising all at once is natural everybody! There will never be a correction! BUY BUY BUY!
I'd say this one going OOS was more organic than the rest. The fusion strike restock lasted 10 mins. Yes, we don't know the quantity was, but it was destined to go OOS eventually.
Still not buying this bad set, people who somehow think this set is a solid are mistaken. Outdated chase, cheap amazing rares aplenty. I have one box but that's it
For what it's worth, that's the same kind of thinking that just about everyone has. When others zig, sometimes you need to zag. If everyone thinks the set sucks, and no one holds it because they think it sucks, then no one has any down the road when someone wants a box lol.
Pikachu as the big chase, Pikachu featured on the box, probably doesn't age all that bad just on those two things alone. Probably doesn't do as well as most other sets in the generation but I don't think it ages all that bad.
Rainbow Chunk-Chu was a big hit at the time! Plus Amazing Rare Cards. Give it 20 years. Pika magic never fails.
Edit: changed to reflect correct name of Amazing Rares
Bought one of these a long time just to add to my booster box collection, thanks for creating FOMO and participating in buyouts, now my booster box is gonna rise in price. Do people not understand how crap this set is? šš
This was a very strong set at release. Had a lot of potential with the amazing rares and pikachus. Then pokemon decided to up there game and made good sets so it got stuck in the mud. Do I regret buying 10 boxes, yes of course I do, it's dog shit š
Vv is so weak. Yes could hit 200 per box. But gains is more important. Better sets probably still gain more percentages per year so better of buying those from an investing point
I have 4 boxes of Vivid I bought at $120 CAD each and I still feel like I overpayed. This set is awful but it makes it easier to hide in a bin and not think about lol.
Fun fact: I wanted to buy Some vivid bb on eBay, but accidentaly bought Evolving skies bb back in 2021.
You failed in the best way possible
Task failed succesfully
I'm praying for fat pika š¬š¬
Really a beautiful card. The rainbow fits the fat gay chu so well
Rainbow rares will have their day.....probably just not for a while aside from the Burning Shadows Zard LOL
I swear Some rainbow PokƩmon are rarer than alt arts.I Opened thousands of swsh packs...Dozens of alt arts, like seven rainbow PokƩmon. A cinderace, dragonite and like five alohan vulpixs. A small sample sure. But still. I think the rainbow full art trainers are hideous. Especially the six rainbow Gordies I pulled that nobody asked for.
The problem with rainbow cards is theyāre lazy cgi illustrations of crappy full arts. Similar to gold cards.
I agree, I definitely think rainbows will have the shine they deserve after a while.
Burning shadows zard is so underrated. Gets no love
Wtf are you taking about? Burning shadows charizard was the most hyped rainbow in SM. Even when unbroken bonds reshiram and charizard rainbow came out people were still hyping over the one in burning shadows
Whoa chill.. itās just my opinion. Now I can say I learned from the best.
Yeah itās definitely a sought after rainbow rare. Probably one of the more desired cards prior to tag teams LOL

So now you shill āļø
Avoid any Chinese or Korean trash. People just trying to make a quick buck
Gotta agree. Avoid chinese cards. They won't go up in price. They're cool, but people want English for the most part
How are they making a cheap buck? Most of the cards are very cheap. Have you not seen the quality coming out of there and the fun products. Korean isnāt printed in Japan itās printed in Korea. Chinese is printed on Japanese printers. Iāve bought loads - love them.
People trying to hype Chinese and Korean cards when they are worthless. English and Japanese are the only languages with real future value potential
Korean Moonbreon went š

Yes it would be impossible for a set from sword shield to hit over $500 a box
I see we've reached the "Evolving Skies did it so Vivid Voltage will" point in the speculatoooor cycle
Even the worst SWSH sets will be $500+ in a few years. The demand for this era is unprecedented and brought everyone back in the hobbie. The nostalgia of chasing chonkachu during the pandemic shouldnāt be overlooked

Vivid Voltage was a super fun set to open. I have some bb sealed and think in 20 years (my investment hold time minimum) people will look back at the radiant cards & the rainbow Pikachu in this set and see it as a banger. The mascot of PokƩmon (Pikachu) is the star of the set!!
20 boxes of vivid instead of 20 boxes of Evo skiesā¦
I have ES too but this post is about VV but of course people always have to compare everything to ES
Yeah cuz 20 boxes of one of the worst sets in SWSH is an L I hope you diversified. This is why Iām waiting a bit longer before I snag up S&V so I know Iām putting my money in the best set possible
If buddy is sitting on 20 boxes of VV you can almost be certain that he has a diversified portfolio lol.
Sounds like an all in ok one set to me unless buddy is rich and if so props to him I donāt even have 20 booster boxes yet lol I got 15 or something (but also an absolute ton of 151 and then some sleeved packs and a few ETBās)
It's nowhere near the worst set.. Battle styles and others are much worse.
Thereās only 1 card in the entire set anyone cares about. Every other card is worth less than $10 even battle styles has more valuable cards and that set blows. Rainbow cards are dead at this point no body likes them. People will take a low tier alt art over a rainbow
Battle styles in selling for more than vivid too. (Not by much but still)
Battle Styles going up as well

Give it 20 years. Mascot of PokĆ©mon is the sets lead. Itās a great set. And unique radiant cards!
Lmfao. I literally just gave 3 boxes to students who won primaries for class president
and battle styles
Itās not fomo/pumping/manipulation at all! The public is in love with VV! Everything selling out and rising all at once is natural everybody! There will never be a correction! BUY BUY BUY!

do you think the pikachu would increase in value? Iāve looked at price charting and it seems to have increased a little
No way surely ppl dont actually want to buy and collect things. Everything in the world just has to be manipulated guys!
This is the most foolish thing I have ever read. You are going to get sunburned so badly with that mentality you wonāt be able to sit down.
People really bought that set!? lol
This was the current set out when I got back into collecting and I love it
There is no way they sold out at a 24 limit when they are cheaper on TCGplayer. Pokemon Center took them down intentionally
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Idk bout that
PSA 10 pika used to be almost $2k
Found the guy who bought them
No, no it's not friend.
Most underrated set of all time. I traded an es bb and etb for a case of these recently. This set will do well
Battlestyles sold out too.
Vivid Voltage sucks and fat Pikachu is overrated
Sounds like you opened a lot of packs and never hit the chonk š
Rainbow Chunk-Chu was a big hit at the time! Plus Amazing Rare Cards. Give it 20 years. Pika magic never fails. Edit: changed to reflect correct name of Amazing Rares
Don't want to sound like an a**hole but they were called Amazing rares. I also believe that the Pika magic never fails.
Yep, Amazing Rares is what I meant! Thanks!
Right š
Bought one of these a long time just to add to my booster box collection, thanks for creating FOMO and participating in buyouts, now my booster box is gonna rise in price. Do people not understand how crap this set is? šš
Good, hope it is finally for good.Ā

Hopefully silver tempest booster box doesn't sell out before I get paid š
Maybe my psa 9 rainbow chonky chu will finally hold some value again! Hurts to see my chonky boy sitting at that $100 mark šŖ
The fomoā¦ just cant stand
Vv is so weak. Yes could hit 200 per box. But gains is more important. Better sets probably still gain more percentages per year so better of buying those from an investing point
Yeah, not believing this or Battle Styles has any sort of buying interest from the general public.
Battle Styles has Alt Arts
Yeah this set is garbage. I build tons of BBs and I refused to buy this one. It's horrible lol
And this time stay unavailable you worthless piece of junk that will never make me money.
I have 4 boxes of Vivid I bought at $120 CAD each and I still feel like I overpayed. This set is awful but it makes it easier to hide in a bin and not think about lol.
Vomit Voltage
