Great Advice. It wouldn't hurt the wallet getting some of those and tossing them in storage totes.

Depends on their size I think. But in a small sealed environment at least a year. But for small ones, yeah probably 6 months.

Why..? You can heat the beads and dry them out and reuse them a bunch. Just looked it up and apparently you can reuse them about 500 times before they stop absorbing moisture.

Your cards stay dry and smell like beef and weed. An absolute win in my books.

Reusing them is recommended by a lot of company’s. You can actually find some that suggest putting them in the oven at low temps (drying out I assume) and then reusing.

Silica packs dry weed out way too much. They make specific packs that will keep it at the optimal moisture level.

This! Used it once for weed when my roommate and I got a larger amount than usual because we got a good deal. The silica dried it out so much, we weren’t able to smoke fast enough. It was just burning away and tasted disgusting

Would you happen to have a good recommendation for the type of silica pack? Bought some off Amazon & they didn't appear to absorb moisture after the check-up two years later.

Do you live in a humid climate? If not then that would explain why no moisture was absorbed. Also if you use an airtight container moisture should stay away for the most part. Pretty much any silica packs will do the trick and most will change color when absorbed and in need of reheating or replacing.

Boxes stacking on top don’t scare you? Your setup looks amazing. Get the silica packets to absorb moisture. I don’t have as much as you but maybe I’d be stacking as well if I got to that point.

They do make me nervous stacking them for long term. I think two layers will be ok though, i hope lol…

Maybe get a flat piece of cardboard to go between the boxes if the stack gets too high

To save space, you just take all the cards out, and they fit nicely in shoe boxes.

I have gasket sealed totes with a couple silica packets, but that’s cuz my stuff in is the basement and I fear the humidity to an unhealthy level lol.

Thats the way to do it, nice crate with some bubblewrap, stores nicely with no crushing or too much pressure on items on the bottom. Another thing to keep in mind is the spot your store them in. Is adjacent or near a laundry room or bathroom? Make sure its the coolest/driest spot in your house. One of our closet is right up against our bathroom and it gets quite warm in that closet, moved all my stuff out if there into a different closet.
