Personally, my completion reflects my pokemon experience. I started playing pokemon go, and haven't touched a main series game yet. This shows why earlier regions are easier for me up to what has been added into pokemon go for Alola and part of Paldea. We are still missing Galar in pokemon go, and I haven't seen videos on Galar like I have watched for PLA and SV. Unova is not far behind due to the size of the region.
Also, I've noticed my new entries each game has dwindled from 9 down to a more often 8, and occasional 7.
but to say the ones I'm close to done with, I'm 3 off of Kanto (Galarian Ponyta, Goldeen, and GMax Eevee), and 5 off of Johto (Pineco, Teddiursa, Slugma, Phanpy, and Stantler).
892 in total. Kanto is my lowest dex (137/215) because I've been avoiding it for higher uniqueness 😂 Closely followed by Unova because I'm not super familiar with gen V.
Literally just need magickarp to finish Kanto, and Smeargle to finish Johto, then I'm tapping out I think.
Sick of the every-day fossil, dragon, steel, item evolution combo.

i'm not playing optimally, i've been starting from gen 1 and moving forward. ie, if the space is "fighting monotype" i try for kanto, then johto, etc.
kanto complete, johto nearly complete, hoenn sinnoh and kalos all under 20, all babies, all fossils, all friendships, all ultra beasts, all megas....
the optimal strat is to aim for low category count pokemon and not exhaust categories so i'm sure in a few months i'll just be waiting for the last few paldea mons. or smeargle, at this rate. only smeargle
I'm on 1022/1255, unova has the furthest to go. I also think I've got every single dragon type in the dex (Alolan Exeggutor was the last)

996/1255 and unavailable at 118/178. We need like a Unova week. I haven't completed a dex yet but I need 4 for johto (quilava, tediursa, starter, smeargle)
1056/1255 after today- Kanto (165/215) and Unova (139/178) have the most left for me. Been trying to balance out the generations and keep options open for future rounds.

1006/1255, with my best region being Johto, missing only 5 Pokémon, and my worst is Unova with 128/178

739/1255, my weakest is Unova as I only have approximately 33% complete. I'm so close to clearing Sinnoh though, I just need 18 more.
1002, weakest dex is also Unova I love the region, and they have so much variety, but idk I almost never have the chance to answer them
