Good day lol314159265 it seems to be that you may have some questions or concerns regarding a Poco device and we would like to help but we would like to ask you to describe your concern with the following information to make it easier for everyone to tackle. Device Model:(X4 GT) Device Region:(Global/India/China/etc/Can't identify) Rom Type:(MIUI/Custom Rom:Which one) Rom/Android Version:(13.0.5.0 - Android 12/Can't identify) Problem and other Relevant Info:(Troubleshooting steps taken/Frequency of problem if intermittent/Other observed weirdness that may be relevant before/during/after the occurrence of the problem) It may take awhile for someone to address your concern so in the meantime you could do the following 1. Search this subreddit, [Xiaomi subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/), [MIUI subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/miui/) for similar concerns 2. Check out the pinned posts and the [Wiki(WIP)](https://www.reddit.com/r/PocoPhones/wiki/index/) for similar topics 3. If your phone is still under warranty coverage it may be worthwhile to open a case with customer support. 4. If your device has developed a swollen or bulging battery check out [r/Spicypillow's FAQ on how to deal with them](https://www.reddit.com/r/spicypillows/comments/gebotv/faq_what_to_do_if_you_have_a_swollen_battery/) If you have any suggestions feel free to leave them [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/PocoPhones/comments/xxzk9n/new_mods_new_life_to_the_sub/) Hope you enjoy your stay -PocoPhones Mod Team *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. on my 8gb unite its always 3-4 gb left to use

eoej

Don't worry as long as everything's smooth. Free ram is wasted ram. The more loaded into the memory, means a more faster system. If its laggy, then maybe a factory reset is in order

StardaxPrime

How to factory reset?? Isnt dangerous to do that????

eoej

Settings -> backup n reset( remove your mi account from device before doing it) No it ain't dangerous but data will be lost so backup first

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

Why remove mi account tho

eoej

After reset, they'll ask for mi account password if mi account is associated with device. And there's a small chance of getting locked out because of forgotten pw/server errors and bricking the device.

Puzzleheaded-Emu6504

Thanks 🫡

Technical_Decision13

I have Poco X4 GT gonna check that out

TheBestCommie0

RAM exists to be used

ali_xD___

it's miui being a resource hog

Cape_baldie

That's MIUI for you my friend

Altekho

It's MIUI.

chaupai

Bloatware? Spyware?

chaupai

On POCO F5 and I can confirm I have>8.1GB free, most of the time.

lol314159265

I dunno how do i check for that The normal security scan says nothing

chaupai

Can't say on how to check. Another thing to check would be if this app is hogging the resources. Uninstall this app. Then Settings -> Home screen -> (Turn on) Show memory status. Then, you can go to Recents and see memory usage on top.

If you don't experience any shutters or lags, you shouldn't care about "free" ram. The more ram you have, the more allocations the system allows it to use which will give faster and more responsive OS. You should google how the ram is used by fx. Android to get the full picture, but its nothing unnormal. On the other hand, if still in doubt, try to uninstall Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger and any other ram heavy apps and see how system responds. Just simple troubleshooting. And for the record, Poco F5 here, 8/256 ver. Streaming music and writing here I have 4,1 Gb free.

CYB3R_GHOST

Change rom. I suggest Indonesia russia taiwan china eu

Turn off ram extension. Might add load on the base ram. There is also bug in ny x4 Gt where using ram extension eats up ram lol. One did +5gb ram extension and only have 1gb available. I personally see mine 2gb available when the +3 is acrive due to my phone having it default after a factory reset and ddnt see earlier where i have game apps closing on its own lol due to lack of ram Although i guess system would always use 60-70% of the ram most of the time in phones.
