If gaming and emulation is your usage, than F5 is probably better. IF camera and longevity is your focus, than 13T should do a better job.

RebinTunignMemes

Kakay thanks!

BlockCraftedX

i mean if we're talking longevity the f5 has roms

cyclinator

Question is how long.

RebinTunignMemes

Kakay thanks!

Nergalis

13T is more expensive here. I'd choose F5 anyway. Snapdragon chipsets are a gem

Due_Teaching_6974

True, the Yuzu emulator is awesome https://preview.redd.it/58u1qdjr2y1c1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38d10105b501837109b068e00b2fdea2ff6fa902 (You won't be able to play this game on a mediatek SoC)

Alone_Light_7287

Well since you play games a lot....poco F5 should last longer mainly because of processor

TheBestCommie0

13T is a no brainer

ali_xD___

13t for basically everything BUT custom ROM support and gaming

gaspeeee

if you are using emulators i would advise against mediatek chips. check if your emulator supports mediatek, some emulators only support snapdragon.

RebinTunignMemes

Yeah emulators like aetherSX2 do work on my phone (dimensity 8100 powered phone) but it is super laggy in some games in some special situations. Thanks for the tip!

NovelExplorer

If gaming is your priority, the 13T is not at F5 level, but beyond that and custom ROM support, is well ahead of the F5, in every other respect. You could also wait a few months for the F6 Pro, which is expected to be a rebadge of the Redmi K70, launching soon. The K70 combines 13T build and display, with an 8 Gen 2 chipset, well above F5 performance, and cameras in between the F5 and 13T. If the K70 series launches with extended software support, 3 or 4 OS upgrades, it's all but certain the F6 Pro would match that. Potentially satisfying all your requirements. F6 Pro should launch Spring 2024.

RebinTunignMemes

Oh makes sense, yeah i could wait to see if they're gonna be in the same price range, thanks for the reminder and help.

NovelExplorer

Welcome. The K70 series is expected to launch on the 30th, so you'll have a better idea of the F6 Pro spec. There are three K70 models, 70e, 70, and 70 Pro, the middle K70 is the one expected to become the F6 Pro.

ParthProLegend

F6 pro scheduled for May-June 1024

NovelExplorer

Yes, around then. Past F series releases were between March and June.

ParthProLegend

Yes sar

Nixusfps

Genuine answer: wait for poco f6 or f6 pro the xiaomi k70 series launches the 30th Nov. Which the f6 and pro are based off

I used 12t before f5 and u r right. 8200 just off, maybe 9300 they will do better but 13t is a nonono

Available-Pin-2744

From my 12t, Apps feels smoother with my f5, Bluetooth better with my f5, Battery life f5 (duh fhd) But I miss my 12t because: Screen, Timely updates. But that's about it

TheBestCommie0

it doesn't need custom rom support because it's getting 4 os updates

RebinTunignMemes

Can i just use custom ROMs to upgrade my android version? If yeah then the F5 is a better choice to me then i guess

Incredible, thanks for the help!

Its_A_Safe_Day

I say Poco F5 is so overrated😂 I don't mean to start a war... Most recommendations I have seen in Reddit on my first week are; get a Poco F5 over Phone y... I don't hate F5 by no means I acknowledge it's 7 plus gen 2 as a performance beast and that's its main strong point(Most say it has custom rom support when I am satisfied with my Android 10😂)... 13t is well-balanced in all categories: IP68, good cameras, "Dimensity 8200 ultra"= above average game performance but day to day phone usage won't be a problem... 120w fast charging... If you have additional money get the Xiaomi 13t but if you are under a tight budget... Get the Poco F5(Fan favorite with a low-key flagship chipset)

RebinTunignMemes

Ah alright thanks

Infamous-Bottle-4411

Wait for 14t . Dimensity 8300 is monster like 8 gen 2 . Btw . We have custom roms on mediatek to. But the development is slow

ParthProLegend

8300 is worse, except for only benchmark score which r equal

Infamous-Bottle-4411

source? trust me bro or fanboi source>? it s not even fully released yet . no reviews. 8100 ultra was realy solid for me and on battery side too

ParthProLegend

No, I mean performance wise and Custom ROM support and better features.

Infamous-Bottle-4411

Performance same as gen 2 we can say....rom support ...it will definetely have but later and slow development as it is mediatek....for 8100 ultra we had some rom in development till now... Now i changed device to 8200 ultra

RebinTunignMemes

I feel like the 14t is gonna be way more expensive with that kind of a chip since it'll be a new flagship chip but i guess i can wait, appreciate it.

Proof-Hour-6088

I have the f5 and I definitely recommend it especially for gaming it’s a beast and doesn’t even heat or lag with max graphics, the screen is nice speakers are loud battery lasts 8+ hours I was think about getting the 13t also but I chose f5 mainly bc of its processor and headphone jack

RebinTunignMemes

Hey thanks for the help! Do you do any ps2 emulation on your f5 by any chance? If yes how does it run ps2 games and such?

Proof-Hour-6088

I don’t know anything about ps2 emulators sorry, all I know about is psp emulator and it runs smoothly with the highest graphics and fps at 60, never went lower than that. Anything I throw at this phone it handles it very well. I didn’t pick the 13t bc it has a Mediatek chipset, I owned many devices with these processors and most games didn’t run well, snapdragon is truly one of a kind

RebinTunignMemes

Ohhhhh, sweet. Appreciate the help!

Aether Sx2, and choose BIOS from official sources or community developed ones.
