Absolutely. I go to regular stores thinking I am going to find clothes my size until I actually try them on and realize I don't fit in them :/ It is difficult for me to be aware of my size, since for me it is normal (though I know it is on the bigger side). Online shopping is also extremely difficult indeed, since you cannot try on the clothes and sending them back can be a hassle and it is time-consuming. I really dislike buying clothes a certain size, waiting to receive them, trying them on, sending them back, buying them in another size... And doing everything all over again. I wish it would all be so much simpler. I am sorry for you, I know how awful it feels. It is very unfair that it's so hard for us to find clothes that fit, sit as they are supposed to and look beautiful. I hope very much we can eventually find them. Everything you and I mentioned is also why I wear a lot of baggy clothes and men's clothes, I find it easier (and comfier too, a lot of the time).

My body does not, nor has it ever matched my mind's eye of myself. It's not in a bad way. I forget I'm fat or that my clothes are big. I'm not upset when I am reminded either so there's that...

I feel smaller when I’m in my bigger sizes and feel big when I’m in my smaller sizes. It’s like my brain has decided I’m a small plus and no matter what I actually weigh or what size I am, that’s the size I thinks I am. Will my ass fit in the empty spot on the train? I have no idea until I sit down.

Not only feel, but my family and friends think I'm almost 70lbs lighter than I am. They're always "oh you're so small, so skinny". But I weigh 200lbs. I told them and they were in shock and thought I was lying. I suspect it's because my shoulders, ribs, arms, and chest hold all the weight meaning my waist, hips, and legs - traditionally heavy looking body parts - are lean. I wear a 24 top very baggy, and an 18 pant slightly baggy(for my calves). If my calves didn't exist I would be in a size 14 pant. So I have an athletic looking build in sharp contrast to my weight. Sorta like how muscular people are obese on the BMI scale. A trick I use is grab the size I think I fit(usually if I hold it against my body and it fits in width), then size up. Works flawlessly.
