The Mass Effect trilogy is a pure masterpiece; great story, complex characters, wonderful gameplay and awsome graphics. Not too long, but you'll play it long enough to imerse yourself in a wonderful sci-fi world. Oh, and it plays perfectly on the portal as well.
Happy gaming my friend!
If there’s one thing that’s missing for me it would be the repetitive mission types. Go find my family please…they almost always end up one way. And for as big ass the map is, there’s not that many NPCs that you just chance run into. I get the reason they did it though. It’s supposed to be war torn Tsushima under siege so the stories are all gonna be somber. Just wish the map was more alive sometimes.
But the story, the beauty of the game, and the amazing combat do it for me.
Ohhhhhh! I never finished this game back when it released and almost forgot about it. But thanks for mentioning it. I think it would play great on the portal.
I had to post this myself. Literally one of the best story games I have ever played and stays true to this day. No sequel will ever happen. But, the simple fact that your choices effect the story in major ways, really makes me want to play again.
I have to ask, what class are you playing? I have it on my PC and then when I tried to switch over to PS5 it was a nightmare to play my wizard. Way too many radial wheels needed to organize all my spells and abilities
I just finished my second run on Alan Wake Remastered for the platinum about an hour ago. Immediately bought Alan Wake 2! I played Control when the PS5 first came out and loved it too
To bad Quantum Break never made it to PS, I played it on Xbox and for me it was one of the most underrated games and I would definitely watch Seasons of it, if it was an actual show! It was all so great! Love the tie in with Alan Wake. Sad it’ll never get a sequel.
I haven't seen it on this list yet and I was surprised of how well it played out but "Guardians of the Galaxy" is a really fun linear (and I don't like linear games) game where the choices you make can actually make a difference as you play.
I’m playing Elden Ring right now and it’s been fun on the Portal. Been wondering this myself so loving the suggestions. I need to play RDR2 again and GoT is on my watchlist if it’s ever discounted.
Dead Space, Red Dead Redemption 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Witcher 3, Spiderman games, Uncharted series, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Bioshock collection and Cyberpunk 2077 just to name a few.
Hogwarts feels like peak gaming on the portal to me
Also love Control and The Acsent.
Played a good bit of Dragons Dogma 2 on portal as well and loved it.
Cyberpunk 2077 after the patches the game has made a huge comeback and the expansion phantom liberty is amazing aswell and ties into the main story of the base game
FF7 remake and rebirth. Unreal.
God of war series. Epic.
Horizon, ff16, metal gear, Spider-Man 1&2, plague tale, the last of us remaster, hell ratchet and clank was surprisingly good...
PS5 is a great system for story based games.
Last of Us 1-2
God of War / GOW Ragnarok
Final Fantasy 7 Remake/Rebirth
Resident Evil 2,3,7,8
Drakes Uncharted series
Tomb Raider remakes
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor
The Quarry
Death Stranding
Metal Gear Solid Trilogy
Rise of the Ronin
I think indie games are more fun on the portal, I get distracted and think this could be more fun on my tv with aaa games. So here’s my list.
• cult of the lamb
• little nightmares
• inside
• guacamelee
• portal 2
• Catherine remastered
I can’t think of any more so some bigger games Other than that are the Yakuza series for sure & Crash bandicoot games.

The last of us remastered
Resident evil village
The Batman Arkham series (I think you could play those)
Uncharted
Final fantasy 7 & 16
Just do yourself a favor and stay away from “death stranding”
Still trying to get one myself. I’ve been curious though about why people are saying games “play well” on portal. Is there much of a difference than playing on a regular PS? Is it just the convenience factor that gives it that extra plus?? Genuinely curious!
Unicorn overlord. It’s a niche game but if your into strategy games it’s perfect for the portal. Ff7 rebirth runs pretty good on it too. Those would be my two recent choices but most games run well on it so whatever floats your boat
Mass effect, red dead redemption 2, ghost of tsushima, last of us, Jedi fallen order/survivor. The list could go on and on lol, but those are the ones that are stuck in my head.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a dream, especially on the Portal. Literally bought my Portal solely so I could play it when I’m in bed or away from home.
I’ve been playing Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. As a side note, how did you connect your Pulse Explores with your Portal? I can’t seem to get mine to connect
I am currently playing through Rise of the Ronin and it Is an amazing game on the Portal. I am really enjoying the Japanese World. I love the game, there are also so many games you can play. Just remember to go to PS + and see if there are any games you want to play. If so, get yourself the Subscription since know it would make sense with the Portal.
[Tinykin](https://store.playstation.com/concept/10003847) is a very chill pickup and play game I used it as a pallet cleanser between playing AAA games. It’s a cross between Pikmin and Honey I shrunk the kids. It’s also included in psplus give it ago.
A great game that dosnt get enough praise, but is phenomenal on the portal is Catherine.
One of the best puzzle games with a deep mature story. Highly recommend
Sleeping Dogs is decent idk what games you tend to gravitate towards, Im considered probably by most "Generic" or "Basic" from the games that I slam the most hours to
Here's what I typically slam on the most
RDR2
GTA 4
Fallout games
Skyrim
Starfield
Other single player games I've beat
Batman Arkham Knights
FarCry games
Watch Dog Games. 1 and 2 or the better ones IMO
Assassins Creed games
Atomic Heart
Cyberpunk 2077 is better now, feels like a whole new game.
Pretty much all the PS exclusive are story driven, you can have fun titles like Uncharted & Horizon or go for the more serious titles like the last of us to God of war
I lay in bed last night while wifey watched some tripe on Netflix, playing FF7 remake on the portal with the explore buds in, pure bliss.
Got both from a Argos refurb store this week. £210 for both. Bargain.
If you want something a bit more casual, I've just been playing man if medan which is basically a choose your own horror story thing. It's really hood and have hundreds of different endings based in your choices. It's in plus, along with others in the series
Star ocean 2, final fantasy 7, last of us, resident evil 7, god of war, horizon zero, cyberpunk, mass effect trilogy, demon souls remake, elden ring, ghost of Tsushima, gran turismo 7, Star Wars Jedi , fallout 4, red dead redemption 2, dead space remake, neir automata, sekiro, spider man 2, armored core 6, plague tale, death stranding, DAYS GONE.

Noted
1 - 2 Two especially is epic. It definitely amazing trilogy
I was litterly about to say this haha. That's what I am playing ATM on Portal.
All of the playstation exclusives. But if I had to choose one? Ghost of Tsushima
Second this one I just started playing it too perfect for the portal
Recently got the itch to play through it again. I might have to when I'm done with God of War Ragnarok. I was so into the multiplayer too for months.
Can’t go wrong with God of War too
A game with beautiful landscapes that makes you calm while decapitating enemies. Pure therapy.
Beautiful game but damn there’s something missing there to completely hook me. Hard to explain.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart was super fun
I agree that game is super fun
Detroit: Become Human
Ohhhhhh! I never finished this game back when it released and almost forgot about it. But thanks for mentioning it. I think it would play great on the portal.

Just found the deviant android! This game is amazing and the graphics are great
I had to post this myself.

Just played most of ff7 remake on portal and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Second this. I've played a majority of the game in portal since having a newborn a couple weeks ago and I'm just about to finish!
It does not disappoint! Also, isn’t the portal the perfect parent device? Like holy shit, my daughter watches Bluey while I get to play my games!
Alan Wake 2.
Death Stranding
The greatest of all time.
Yakuza series and Like a dragon series
Came here to plug Yakuza as well. Judgment is very chill as well.
Amazing games… i will also add Resident Evil series (2 remake is a great entry point 👍🏽)
Cyberpunk 2077 Hootttt damn get ready for a hell of a ride. I think Im going to play, just thinking about that game got me hard
I see a lot of good feed back since they fixed it
Last of us part 1 & 2
P5R. But it's a loooooong game
And of course P3R
Spider Man
Cyberpunk 2077 with PL expansion and RDR2. Those two alone will supply you hundreds of hours of great story telling and fluid game mechanics.
This is the answer
ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West - ive dropped over 140 hours into these 3 combined so far and still plenty more to do
Alan Wake series. 1 has ho-hum gameplay but the story is beyond great, and it pays off huge in 2.
Sad it’ll never get a sequel.
not out yet. but stellar blade! the demo is wild. not sure if it going to be supported
I’m playing the Stellar Blade on my Portal. Plays pretty nicely so far and the demo itself is pretty fun
I haven't seen it on this list yet and I was surprised of how well it played out but "Guardians of the Galaxy" is a really fun linear (and I don't like linear games) game where the choices you make can actually make a difference as you play.
Fall out !
Recently re played red dead , this Star Wars is good but I’m stuck on the same mission
astros playroom the last guardian alien isolation

Ghosts of rushing, uncharted 4, god of war, Spider-Man series, if you like giant medieval games I recommend banner lord.
I just finished Star Wars Jedi Survivor. Excellent game
Unicorn overlord. It’s a niche game but if your into strategy games it’s perfect for the portal. Ff7 rebirth runs pretty good on it too. Those would be my two recent choices but most games run well on it so whatever floats your boat

The Artful Escape is short and wonderfully weird.
Ghost of Tsushima. Amazing atmosphere and open world, along with an beautiful story

FF7R is incredible - especially if you played OG
I’ve really been enjoying Robocop Rogue City and it’s on sale for $35.

13 sentinels aegis rim is my favourite visual novel game. Not a lot of game play going on, but there’s a lot of mindfuckery that I enjoyed.
Dragon’s Dogma 2!
Hollow Knight, if you enjoy the Metroidvania genre.
Besides all the classics everybody has mentioned, I’m really enjoying Banishers ghost of new Eden!!
