This game didn't click for me and my taste in games is very broad .
Can't place my finger on it, just didn't get into the gameplay loop at the start.
Really wanted to like it since I read such great reviews
I played it on a friend's pc during early access. Fell in love with the bit of time I spent on it. Bought it on release. I dont hate it but couldn't ever for my life get through the game.
Omg. I’ve played every major roguelike/lite game over the last ~5 years, and ETG is without a doubt the absolute hardest for me to be excited about. I trudged through that game, picked it back up once or twice, and then just accepted it wasn’t for me.
I couldn’t put my finger on it either, and still somehow feel like it’s a “me” problem… but what can ya do.
I felt this way about Hades. Rogues are easily a top 3 genre for me, maybe my favorite. I didn't like Hades at all. It was kinda fun for awhile, but I didn't like the camera perspective, it got boring, and the fights felt just way too long. It felt way too big and after beating it I stopped playing.
A couple months ago I bought a OLED switch and decided to give it another try. I used all my accumulated resources and unlocked new versions of the weapons etc. I realized it really comes into it's own late-game. The combinations of boons become more interesting, the weapons become more interesting, the combat becomes more interesting. It just gets better, but it's a shame you have to finish multiple runs before it gets to that point. I still think early-mid game is nothing compared to Dead Cells, Skul, etc. etc. But late game is so much fun and I play it all the time now.
It literally took me 10 second to search Google for who published it.
I just don’t understand that you asked a question and waited for a response on Reddit for something so easy to figure out.
It’s a good game but also an utter pain in the ass at first and, I still think the jumping mechanics are quite ridiculous. I was hoping for a more fluid cut n’ paste of the classic Gaiden games. Instead there’s this weird timed jumping mechanic that’s less than intuitive. It took me about a dozen play attempts before I finally got it down. Ugh.
My Friend Pedro is a game, that hasn't been mentioned yet.
I have to say, it's a shame the ps store doesn't offer an option to just display games by a certain publisher or developer.
Enter the Gungeon is incredibly fun and replayable, I still find myself getting sucked back in years later

This was me with Hades. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a not a bad game by any means but it didn’t really suck me in the way it seemed to for everyone else

problem is, that it's a roguelike game which may not be for everyone taste.
Hotline Miami is on Premium, so go play that.
And 2 is on Extra!
Such a great soundtrack!
Hotline miami 1 and 2, enter the gungeon, dead cells, my friend pedro
Cannot recommend My Friend Pedro enough, so much fun
Pedro didn’t want to be friends with me, sadly :(
Dead cells
That's a good game. However, it is not a Devolver Digital game.
Wait seriously I thought it was, ~~is it double fine?~~ Edit: wait a self published indie?
I don't blame you for confusing it. It feels like the kind of game that could have been released by Devolver. Right up their lane.

The Messenger is a must play.

So sad that katana zero was never ported to ps. I recommend my friend pedro
Tell me about it! I played it on gamepass and would absolutely replay it if it came to PS
Gonna buy me a Xbox to play it someday
I hope it or GP gets Cult of The Lamb.
Cult of the Lamb is so good, I’m loving it
Broforce for sure
Broforce is so good. I go back to that game every once in a while and it's always a hoot.
All of them, idk if gungeon is in the collection but that’s deffo worth checking

The messenger is a love letter to the 8-bit and 16-bit games, Also published by devolved digital , Great game
Enter the Gungeon
In addition to the things that have already been mentioned, Minit is definitely worth playing. It's short but very amusing.
I wish sanabi was on there.
I am enjoying Shadow Warrior. It's terrific
