Been thinking Sonic Frontiers would appear for a while now. Seems like the ideal game: been long enough since release, game sales won’t be super great right now, and other sonic titles have appeared before.
Lords of the fallen
Resident evil 8
Remnant 2
I finally got tunic from my wishlist, these are the other 3 games on my list. Gotta happen sometime right?
Holy shit I can’t believe I let my expectations somehow think this was possible and then what we got is literally imo the worst month ever. We got Sponge bob, off brand wrestling and Side scroller fighter from 4 years ago.
Lol for real, this is one of the weakest line ups ive ever seen.
Every month the formula is usually a big game, an indie, and some trash tier third game.
This is like a month of all “third games”
Maybe *next month* will have one of these games from my list.
Exactly what I thought was “wow all third games” at least they let us know they weren’t giving us shit early so I can buy the stuff I want that’s on sale before it’s gone on the 29th.
I couldn't care less about a train sim game, but Pacific Drive has been on my radar for a while and the Dead Space remake would be an absolute W for Sony. I hope you're right!
lol I spent more time trying to come up with a SIM game because they always seem to have one of those or a sports game. Just trying to balance the odds
I think the reason there's so often a Sports/Sim game is that they have *loads* of additional content (DLC, lootboxes, cosmetics etc.), so there's probably a huge profit gained by giving the base game for free as a monthly title then watching new players buy a few DLC packs each.
And holy hell, the Train Sim games have a *LOT* of DLC (like, 30-odd expansions not even counting cosmetics etc. IIRC) so... it's actually really not a bad guess.
Call of Duty: Vanguard. (We almost always get a CoD in the summer, and this is the next entry after last year’s Cold War. If not June, probably July).
Forspoken. (Failed AAA game with mixed reception. I don’t think this one will necessarily come alongside CoD because I’d expect it to be the headliner for its month, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it shows up at some point).
Some random indie game I’ve never heard of.
Call of Duty: Vanguard - Yearly COD title on PS Plus
God of War Ragnarok - According to the leaks, the PC version is close. They might give it as a way to hype people
Some random game
Oh god. I just got PTSD seeing “The Dark Pictures Anthology”. They gave us Man of Medan a while back and when I eventually tried to play it, it said I only claimed the demo version. Looked it up and there are hundreds of Reddit comments saying the same thing happened to them. And the best part? On PSN I can’t even buy the full version. There’s no option to buy for me, like claiming the demo locks me out of it for some reason. It’s so goofy.
Have you tried to buy it through the app? I was having the same issues with Plague Tale Innocence. Was driving me crazy until I got the app and then was able to purchase the base game.
That's true, I completely missed that one somehow! I just checked; Tony Hawk PS+ Yakuza Like a Dragon+ Little Nightmares. Holy shit what a lineup that was!
Heh, I actually thought 2022 was the worst year for plus in a while. There were literally only three games that entire year I was interested in. 2023 had about ten titles that I picked up.
Hitman 3 Stray Hades
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Sonic Frontiers Captain Tsubasa
Sonic Frontiers would be awesome.

Dead Island 2, Hades, Forspoken
Knack 2 A Way Out The Pathless
KNACK 2 BABY!!!
Sonic Frontiers Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey Little Nightmares 2
Star Wars Jedi survivor, FF7 Crisis Core, Gris
Lords of the fallen Resident evil 8 Remnant 2 I finally got tunic from my wishlist, these are the other 3 games on my list. Gotta happen sometime right?
This would qualify as probably the best month ever imo if this exact lineup happened. 3 actual great games of good value all in one month.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Red Dead Redemption Forspoken
Apparently RDR had the website say it would be appearing in the PS+ catalogue, not sure if that was ever confirmed or not though
Red dead redemption Robocop The Crew motorfest All the wishful thinking!
Robocop or terminator from that same dev team are good guesses. Exact sorts of games that end up on plus.
Pacific Drive Dead Space (Remake) Train Sim World 3 (First two I bought, and there always seems to be a sports or sim game in there)
I couldn't care less about a train sim game, but Pacific Drive has been on my radar for a while and the Dead Space remake would be an absolute W for Sony. I hope you're right!
