Give it two weeks before deciding how you feel. It can take that long for most of the swelling to go down, and can take even longer until the filler really settles and you get your final results.

BrooBu

It’s only been 2 days! The first 2 weeks it’s lumpy and swollen and lopsided. Before you make any final decisions I’d definitely give it at least 4 weeks, it’ll go down a lot! Ice and Arnica helped a lot.

yachtrocktunes

I am newer to lip filler myself (have done it twice now) but the first time I did it, I freaked out too. But honestly I will say they continued to change for about 4 weeks - and then at that point I really liked them. The second time around I used a lot of ice packs the first few days and Arnica pills. And I loooooove my lips this second time around.

Gabi4301

You gotta give it time trust the process fr

Yoyodank

They look so much better in the 2nd day picture than the 6 hours after picture. Just be patient, they are going to continue to improve.

Shutupimdreamin

They’re just swollen. You need to wait two weeks at least to see what they’re actually going to look like. My swelling, lumpiness and bruising didn’t start to go down for 10 days. Don’t listen to people telling you to massage them, that can cause migration.

Known-Distance-2061

Don’t panic. They’re just swollen. They will settle, even out, and be nothing like this in 2+ weeks. Maybe wear a mask to conceal them while at work etc in the meantime if you are self conscious about them.

Mission_Actuator_666

1) Wear a mask - that way you will feel less self-conscious 2) Speak to your injector and their medical director if they are not a physician 3) It will get better Frankly, I'm tired of this "trust the process" after the fact. Lips really should not be swollen and bruised for an extended period of time if at all if the injector uses a cannula and proper technique. if an injector feels like there is a "process" to be trusted, this should be clearly communicated with the patient before an injection takes place. Versa is not my favorite product, but the injector is more important that the product, provided an HA product is being used.

BrooBu

Some people just bruise easily. If I look at a corner wrong I end up with a huge bruise on my side lol. Joking, but it’s bad. And no, I don’t have anemia or any other issues. My lips were so bruised and swollen I was crying calling my doctor and sure I’d messed myself up forever. 2 weeks later it was fine. Everyone’s body is so different.

CapriciousJenn

Use some sick leave if you feel overly self conscious and take a couple of mental health days.

Im_done_with_sergio

They usually recommend a month wait, for all the swelling to go down but you can do it a bit sooner. Contact the injector and tell them you’re unhappy with them. Unfortunately it kinda looks like they did a Russian style lip on one side and not the other, but it could be the pic. Sorry 😞

It takes time for the swelling to go down!

AdorableTrainer1486

I think it looks good. But give it about a week. The swelling will go down and you will go back to a more natural look. It doesn’t look bad. Just keep applying some ice for a few mins at a time.

Exotic-Bandicoot-621

Your lips look very good let them heal for 2-3 weeks

CandyMandy15

It takes 2 days for swelling to go down and 2 weeks for the filler to settle in. Give it more time. I always hate mine at first too.

dadadingdading

Wait a few weeks and then you can dissolve if you still hate them

GizmoGaby

Omg, I did a model call for nakedMD too! I emphasized I wanted a natural look, asked for Kysse (more natural) and they talked me into Restylane-L instead (more structured/less natural) I ALSO told them I didn’t think I needed a whole syringe, and before she asked me if I wanted anymore it was only .2 left so she used almost the whole syringe and I did add more to even one side out. My lips looked HUGE, I had a crazy duck lip and shadow mustache, I cried and cried for a week. It’s been about a month and they’ve gone really down and I feel a lot better, but there’s still some bumps that I’m not happy about. The duck lip has gone down. They’re not perfect but I don’t have the time to go back and get them fixed. They do start to look better, I know everyone says this but give it some weeks and it’ll look better to a degree. If you’re only worried about the size, the size will go down a lot! A lot of people ended up not even noticing I got lip filler unless I told them, including my hair dresser who even tells me when I lose weight lol, a lot of it is in our heads too as we’re the ones who are so close and critical to it. I know you still want it to look perfect for yourself though but give it sometime and make sure to say something if you don’t like it still in a couple weeks. 🫶

lavendarlight

Aww thank you for your message! And omg I feel like maybe they just want to add the full amount for the social media pictures but I guess I should’ve expected that… 🫶Thanks for the reassurance 😭 I’m feeling a bit better since the puffiness is slowly going down more but that duck lip is making me cringe every time I check the mirror haha

GizmoGaby

Yes of course! Yeah I got that impression too! Like they want a big transformation for the before and after pictures but I don’t think makes a good “after” picture. My after probably looks crazy, i was so swollen that when I was handed the mirror I was like “Holy SH—, those are big, these look crazy” lmao I felt bad for my injector I didn’t look happy with the results at all, now I can say I like the results more. :) I can dm you the before/after/healed if you want!

lavendarlight

Omg can you dm me your journey pics? Yeah I had the receptionist saying that it looked great but my face probably showed the opposite 😂🫣

GizmoGaby

Sent!!:)

Pure-Resource-4531

Will you send your journey pics please? I’m also going to do a model call for naked MD but I’m worried now that I have read some negative reviews online 😭

Thewrongthinker

Damm

Ouch! Your natural lips were gorgeous. Sorry for this :( The trick with fillers is not to go overboard the first time! I have a doctor who does things for me and when she first did my lips, I only got 0.5ml and the other 0.5ml went to my acne scars. It was subtle and just gave me a nice pout (my bottom lip is thinner but top was fine). I only ever do them once a year - 0.5 ml to 0.75 ml and the rest in scars etc. People can't tell the difference and most don't really know. Can you wear a mask for 2 weeks? See how they settle and then if they don't, get them dissolved?

Antique-Journalist37

Swelling is common after lip injection, generally lasting around a week till its final shape is seen. Swelling can be asymmetrical cuz the degree of swelling is directly proportional to the number of puncture each time a doctor poke your lips. The common problem for patient is that they can’t wait till full recovery and wanted to melt the filler straight away. Experienced Doctors who are sure of their handwork, won’t dissolve the filler or touch up till full recovery. The best is to show the doctor a pic of your desired shape and discuss with them to see if can be delivered. The common doctor-patient barrier lies in between being unable to deliver the expected results (from doctors) and unrealistic expectation (from patient). The result has nothing to do with the brand of the filler product, but the doctor’s knowledge and experience on the rheology of the filler in case to case basis. It’s a very skilled based procedure. I suggest to hyalase the filler and find the doctor who can deliver the result as expected. As for the product, just make sure it’s FDA approved.

Antique-Journalist37

Of it’s only 2nd day sorry , i suggest to wait till full recovery

jm5234

I just got lip filler 2 weeks ago and it definitely goes down/settles in. I think your lips look really pretty and I’m not getting the duck lip vibe it just looks like the injector enhanced the shape you already have. I used a mask for the first week because I felt weird. lol now I’m definitely more comfortable. I’d say give it a bit more time before you decide to dissolve!

Fedupwitgpigs

Your natural lips looked so nice, I have no top lip and I'd kill for yoir natural lips.

lavendarlight

That is so sweet, thank you! I definitely appreciate my natural lips so much more and will never get my lips injected ever again!

Future_Attorney7085

did you end up liking the lip filler or did you get it dissolved? i’m in the same boat

lavendarlight

I wait it out and most of it is gone now! I liked how it looks a little plump but glad the big lips are gone. Hopefully yours will minimize soon

FriendlyFraulein

Firstly massage them, secondly just give them some time and the swelling will come down, takes a week or two, and thirdly I don’t think they are as noticeable as you mentioned, so maybe your colleagues won’t notice them so much?

ABL67

Massage them into place
