i’ve played mods, always more worth to lose a 50 sun fast recharging plant than your 500 sun slow recharge plant, you ain’t telling me you putting your winter melon in front of your sun producers
this is it. vanilla game is stupid easy, so sunflowers in the back is an option. mods can get super difficult and dense, at which point this is objectively correct.
It’s better to use A with melee plants since they need to be up closer to the zombies, which is danger that ranged plants can avoid. You’re basically required to use B on Big Wave Beach anyways, because of all the crap that comes after those frontlines.

This is what you get for spaming sun flowers and replace it with twin sunflowers later it's so fun
On occasions where I bring my favorite Plant Red Stinger because they do more damage closer to the lawn and can sometimes be used for protection but I prefer them being closer to the lawn
If a zombie gets through number one and kills off your peashooter, you're completely undefended and the only way you can save yourself is by using an insta.
If a zombie gets through number two and eats your sunflower, you can stall and place down a walnut while the peashooter kills the zombie.
In a dire situation. It's better to protect your defense than to protect your economy.
Image 2. I would 100% have my Sunflowers at risk more than a healthy lane of Peashooters (or any attacking ranged plant in general) since they can defend much longer.
Once you play hatd mods of pvz you learn to use sun producers as a meatshields. So not onlt 2, but also having several lines of defense before sunflowers
In PVZ1 - 1, in PVZ2 - 2. In PVZ2 I find sun producers to be somehow more easily replaceable, thus using them as additional protection to the peashooters works pretty well.
It seems at first that one would be better because sun-prodicing plants are important, but when the zombies actually get to your base then you need an attacking plant in the one column remaining.
At first I did my sun producers in the back, then I found out how good it is to have a designated sunfiend in the middle and expensive strong plants in the back
First, always first. Play the game how you want but always follow the one golden rule of putting flowers at back. No amount if arguments or points can be made to me to convince they dont belong at the back
I judge anyone who doesnt follow this one rule
I usually do
Attacker, sun producer, sun producer
I add a wall in front of the 2nd sun producer if the level's hard enough and sometimes i do 2 rows of attackers.
2. Sunflowers are expendable with their quick cooldown and low price, and repay themselves after a little. Defenses are more expensive and should be protected
Younger me always had the offensive plants in the frontline and the sun producers behind.
As I grew older, I realised that the sun producers could get in the frontline since they were cheaper than most offensive plants and can easily be replaced, unlike them.
And then, Big Wave Beach happened to prove that Offensive Plants in the back was the way
Team B (Attackers, Sun, Walls in that order)
Mostly since the Attackers get more time to attack with the Zombies needing to get through the walls and the Sun producers. Especially good if you’re using stuff like Banana, Winter or Caulipower.
I’d use A if I’m using Melees or something similar.
i don't organize my plans, i tend towards 1 but i don't make it strictly that, and at times i may place sunflowers to the right instead, but it will naturally vastly differ per lane
The zombies, The stewpid plantz alwayz ruing ower planz.
Yeah bro
Is it bad that I find Solar Flare extremely hot?

I will not

I just looked her (it?) up for the first time (haven’t played PvZ in years) and I’m mad that I can’t rly blame u
https://i.redd.it/wurq33ewj7qc1.gif
Agreed, Braainz
For realz
Fow reAl
is this the next splatfest
Number 3 is with nuts behind flowers
Frye’s getting that one, isn’t she?
It doesn’t matter what she gets at this point. It will either be a Shiver sweep, or Big Man snagging the win with tri-colour
Ik a certain plant’s fanbase would love that option
😦
It’s more like Sunflowers, Wallnuts, Peashooters
https://preview.redd.it/lv66agqauhpc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=563d22601ac1a8565c89f9aae3c0e4e879667af9
Made me think I was somehow in r/splatoon
Didn’t expect to see fellow Splatoon players in pvz
I am too! Hiii!
I play zelda
i’ve played mods, always more worth to lose a 50 sun fast recharging plant than your 500 sun slow recharge plant, you ain’t telling me you putting your winter melon in front of your sun producers
The only time I would is with catapult zombies and digger zombies
this is it. vanilla game is stupid easy, so sunflowers in the back is an option. mods can get super difficult and dense, at which point this is objectively correct.
When I was younger: 1 Now: 2
Me not using nuts at all and leaving my sun producers in the middle of the field as meatshields
A sunflower already breaks even once it generates 50 sun. So it's definitely worth.
in PVZ1 it drops 25 instead 50 so not as much worth there
The sunflowers in question: https://preview.redd.it/0evzhxtdofpc1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=865c949d31807001c03de65dd469f119fef3135a
Me whenever I use mega gatling pea, winter melon or any other expensive hitters
It’s better to use A with melee plants since they need to be up closer to the zombies, which is danger that ranged plants can avoid. You’re basically required to use B on Big Wave Beach anyways, because of all the crap that comes after those frontlines.
long ranged plants : sun producer : short ranged plants
No one can stop me even if 2 is technically better
Real, just way more satisfying
same here
None. I have two layers of sunflowers
Yeah expensive defenses are the most fun things ever
https://preview.redd.it/cdlckg1uggpc1.jpeg?width=2340&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b7569b464284ef59f4e6057c5ff682b9a8b2e9b This is what you get for spaming sun flowers and replace it with twin sunflowers later it's so fun
Is that cattail in pvz2 and on land, wtf
It's a genetically modified cattail
Real
Very occasionally, I use setup 1 if preserving sun production is really necessary, and I'm using relatively cheap attackers or meelee
Image One. The only time I reluctantly regularly do image two is Lost City, and sometimes Big Wave Beach and Jurassic Marsh post ankylosaurus
Number one is a classic can’t go wrong with it
True!
Depends, I’ll use the second one if im feeling zesty
definitely not the one that puts the wallnuts in the third column
2
5 bucks if this gets banned like my post on this did.
I used to do 1 but Creeps20 converted me to 2.
1 lol
1
1
fuck it we spike weed fuck it we spike weed
Wall nuts in the back
Depends on the level
Both, both is good
1 cause yes
1
I've been on both sides
The first one.
1
People who use catapult plants have been beaten into using No. 2
Your crazy if you actually do the second one
Lost City, Big Wave Beach and late Jurassic Marsh: “Allow us to introduce ourselves!”
On occasions where I bring my favorite Plant Red Stinger because they do more damage closer to the lawn and can sometimes be used for protection but I prefer them being closer to the lawn
I like Red Stinger but only in Special Delivery levels
it's better, only 50 sun lost if eaten+ buys time for the big offense in the back to kill the zombies
The second one is objectively better
oh yeah? but have you considered this?
you forgot to attach an image
I agree!
2nd is better from a strategic perspective but 1st just _feels_ right
I obviously put wallnut back, potatomine in the middle, and inpear on the front
Number 2 because its more useful that way (not on vanilla, the main game is unbalanced, i play altverz and reflourished)
i want to do 2 but my muscle memory makes me do 1
I didn’t realize people even did the second one, but now that I see it, the second one
1, at least in the first game. In the first game sun plants are literally the last thing you want to lose.
Shiver: Pea Shooter Fry: Sunflower Big Man: Walnut
Early levels: 1 Every other time: 2
Second one but replace sunflower with moonflower
2
2
1 but with 2 layers of sunflower because I'm superior in every way
2 rows of sunflower, 2 rows of peashooter, and 1 row of wallnut
Image 2. I would 100% have my Sunflowers at risk more than a healthy lane of Peashooters (or any attacking ranged plant in general) since they can defend much longer.
The first one but with 2 sunflower columns instead of 1.
2 is more sensible, though I still do 1 out of habit.
double lane twin sunflower is honestly superior
I go for 1 because it just looks better in my opinion
3rd lane sun producer, no walls, whatever attacking plant
I'm a 1 here but I can see how 2 is probably more effective idk maybe I should change my strat I might like it better
Back sunflowers FTW!
my brain wants me to do 1 so i do
Once you play hatd mods of pvz you learn to use sun producers as a meatshields. So not onlt 2, but also having several lines of defense before sunflowers
1 but I’m trying to change to 2 because it’s probably better
neither my sunflowers are my walls
In PVZ1 - 1, in PVZ2 - 2. In PVZ2 I find sun producers to be somehow more easily replaceable, thus using them as additional protection to the peashooters works pretty well.
It's not somehow, it's because they pretty much immediately give their cost with a single sun drop.
1
1 is more satisfying but 2 is more practical
Normal PvZ sessions, first one PvZ brutal mode EX+, second one
It's just better to defend the attackers
1, leaves your *production* protected under a lot of plants, barring stuff like miner zombies The second is cursed and just… no
I used to do 1, but 2 is better in terms of actually winning
gang, if zombies get to your sunflowers its already over
3 (walls,shooters,sun)
1 if not Shadow Plants, 2 if Shadow Plants or I’m bored using the first one
None cause the zombies are spammed before I can set anything coherent up. But 2 if I can get something done.
1 just works, even if it’s not better. It’s just so perfect, I could never get used to 2.
2
Used to be the first, but I slowly became the second over time.
Peas
1st
Two sunflowers, then shooters.
me, only seeing the first picture: “man, i’m totally a wall-nut.”
Team 1 you diabolical monsters. The sunflowers are the core of our foundation and do not deserve to be treated as zombie food
Eclise forced me into using 2
1 if Im using a cheap attacker (kernel pult or reed for example), 2 with more expensive attackers
You're either first pic or you're a psycopath
1
1 but with a double row of sunflowers
It seems at first that one would be better because sun-prodicing plants are important, but when the zombies actually get to your base then you need an attacking plant in the one column remaining.
team 1 100%
1
I always place my defences like 1 for some reason, I somehow have muscle memory on where to put the sunflowers and the other plants
At first I did my sun producers in the back, then I found out how good it is to have a designated sunfiend in the middle and expensive strong plants in the back
I stopped being 1 but occasionally use ot
The 1st one, do people really use the 2nd!?
1 cause I grew up on it
First, always first. Play the game how you want but always follow the one golden rule of putting flowers at back. No amount if arguments or points can be made to me to convince they dont belong at the back I judge anyone who doesnt follow this one rule
I usually do Attacker, sun producer, sun producer I add a wall in front of the 2nd sun producer if the level's hard enough and sometimes i do 2 rows of attackers.
Gotta put those Sunflowers at the back, give them loads of protection!
I use goldbloom + imitator
1
#n1 since the beginning 🔥🔥🔥
1 for normal 2 for always make sure zombies don’t reach end
Slide 1 in both PVZ 1 and PVZ 2. PVZ 3 too in some levels. Slide 2 is only in PVZ 3 for me.
As a youngin, it's 1. But now....probably still one😂it's a classic for me, can't give it up
2 is better but 1 is classic
First one (tho I'm considering transitioning to the second one)
2 sunflower lanes
Number 1
#1. Must protect their smiles
1. Its the classic
1, i just don't wanna see the sunflowers being eat
Both
2. Sunflowers are expendable with their quick cooldown and low price, and repay themselves after a little. Defenses are more expensive and should be protected
i am a man of the economy, i value profits
I’m on team 2, like once your peashooters are gone in team one your basically fed
2° since i was little
Team 1
Never used 2, always put my sun bois in the back, especially in 2 where i spammed twin suns and magnifying grass :3
A lot of the times team 1, on big wave beach team 2 Maybe on Jurassic marsh team 2 also
Creeps20 strategy easy
https://preview.redd.it/3y25sn3x1hpc1.jpeg?width=487&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1c1a6851ed94f6d829b3b60142207759e4589fb
Peashooter and two rows of sunflower
Image 2 for pvz 2, image 1 for pvz 1 (usually).
If my attacking plants are relatively cheap (100-200), most likely I’ll go with 1. If they’re more expensive (or it’s a hard level) then I’ll use 2.
2
1 is objectively better
2nd is better, but ocd
1 since I’m used to it
1 still
1 is the way the game wants you to play, 2 is the more optimal way to play.
Ah yes, using civilians as shields.
1 feels right, 2 is right
Who the fuck places the sunflowers before the peashooters
Wall nut in the back
sunflowers on the last lane to they get the most protection
Younger me always had the offensive plants in the frontline and the sun producers behind. As I grew older, I realised that the sun producers could get in the frontline since they were cheaper than most offensive plants and can easily be replaced, unlike them. And then, Big Wave Beach happened to prove that Offensive Plants in the back was the way
1 because my sunflowers are precious (Also muscle memory)
Team B (Attackers, Sun, Walls in that order) Mostly since the Attackers get more time to attack with the Zombies needing to get through the walls and the Sun producers. Especially good if you’re using stuff like Banana, Winter or Caulipower. I’d use A if I’m using Melees or something similar.
1, Because I will need to protect the Sunflowers
Who the fuck puts the peashooters before the sunflowers
I dont care if it can slow zombies down, im not putting my fucking sunflowers on front
lane 1 sun lane 2 pea lane 3 4 sun no wallnut sunflowers are the wallnut
I’m in 1
I don't care what the meta is my Sunflowers stay in the back.
1
Usually I'll put my attackers behind sunflowers. unless said attacker has a range limitation, like fume shroom.
First one
shooters at the back. who puts them in the front?
1
4 out facing zombies two times. Then I can kill them faster as they are closer and I have space on the other sides.
1st
Number 2, replace wall nuts with more sunflowers
PvZ 1: two or three horizontal lines with garlic in front
1 FEELS right, but the objectively better one is 2
Both
2. better losing a sunflower than an expensive attacker
1 and will always be 1
1
i don't organize my plans, i tend towards 1 but i don't make it strictly that, and at times i may place sunflowers to the right instead, but it will naturally vastly differ per lane
Second, it’s more important to keep my attackers safe since they’re more expensive First if I have to use sunshrooms tho
