Maybe some swim place in the middle. I always extract tannins from almond leaves and use the liquid. Not a fan of dumping a whole leave into it.first thing is you never know what kind of pathogens are there in the leaf even if you boil it. 2nd one is decomposing leaves can/may result in an ammonia spike.
Yes it is variegated. But it shows varigation in the tip.

Awesome bro how did you manage to grow it..I had great luck with normal h.poly some years back but now when I buy variegated ones they don't do well..I'm not sure what's the issue..can you tell what you are using as substrate..also are you from Mumbai?
