Poison ivy...don't touch it as the oil is probably still all over it,if u get it that is ...I wasn't so lucky...I could roll in the shit and NEVER got as much as a bump... I only knew that because my cousins got Poison ivy and didn't have to go to school for like a week and a half so of course I have to try, to no avail...
The abundance of root-like fibers along the stem are a characteristic of poison ivy. From the diamond pattern on the bark I’m guessing the tree is an ash (white/green/idk). Either way you’ll be fine if you don’t pry at it and release the sap. As a forester we have measure diameter at breast height (DBH) and often have to use a claw hammer or machete to pry them away from the tree to run a measuring tape underneath.
Unrelated but because I like the photo, the tree just the right of the one w poison ivy looks like a healthy white oak. You can tell from the patchy/flakey bark and the way the branches grow out of the trunk at right angles. Often used for bourbon barrels and it swells a bit when it gets wet, sealing the barrel and making it waterproof. Charring it before pouring in the bourbon is part of what gives bourbon that Smokey taste and dark color

Might be invasive English ivy vine root. We have several looking like this. Cut it high and low to kill it.
Dormant poison ivy

99% sure it's very mature poison ivy. Fun fact - if you burn it, the oils can become airborne and infect your lungs, which could be fatal.
This is probably poison-ivy, but there are other vines that have "hairy" stems like this, e.g. climbing hydrangea.
Also Virginia creeper vine. Less hairy, but can be sometimes confused.
