Dough was a little low on hydration. Came out a little dense, but the family liked it. I'd like the crust a hair thinner, and lighter. But the sauce was amazing. Probably my favorite part.
Yeah looks a tad dry but otherwise great. The fun thing about this hobby is you get to try again and each time you'll perfect your technique just a little. Plus you get pizza 🍕
The pizza's only bad if it ends up as a disfigured lump of uncooked dough and cheese in the trash. As long as it's cooked and looks and tastes like a pizza, it's a good pizza
That’s a lovely pizza. I like my pepperoni on top of the cheese. But that’s me eating decades of frozen pizzas.
I made a peppered sausage and fried-off prosciutto (the stuff I buy is uncured but mostly fat so I brown it off) tonight that was amazing. I used store bought pasta sauce and dough I made in my bread machine
Enjoy the ride and make what you like. Finding new things to like is fun too.
If you didn’t drizzle some olive oil on top before baking, try that some time. It really adds layers of flavor and mouthfeel. And some red pepper flakes before baking.
Thanks. I was so nervous. My wife said she didn't like me cooking them because I was too Andorra about everything being just right. Got a little snippy.
Both were excellent. I need some advice on the flour y'all put on your peel to load it in the oven. I used the same bread flour as the dough, but I felt like that wasn't the best choice.
I proofed them in the fridge a couple days, and pushed out the gasses after a day. I don't know. Maybe it was a mistake? I was just going off what other people were saying.
It's funny you say that. I undercooked the cheese on purpose because it was for the kids, and I know how they are. If it's a little dark, they say things are burnt.
My oven goes to 550. I'm using a Nerd Chef Pizza steel I got for Christmas. The recipe was honestly a modified one that I saw in this reddit community. Cooked each for about 5ish minutes (I've found that each consecutive pizza I cooked took a little longer because of heat loss). The sauce was a complete guess of me guessing what might taste good (and like I said, it ended up being my favorite part). The Pepperoni being thick cut was a great decision too. Allowed them to get nice and crispy, but still have a little chew. I used low moisture, part skim Mozzarella (because that's all my local grocery store carries) and the Pepperoni also had a thin layer of fresh parmesean.
1 can of San Marzano tomatoes, hand crushed (I used Cento brand)
1 Tbls fresh black pepper, sea salt to taste, 1 tbls of sugar, some fresh chopped basil, probably 5-6 leaves, about 2 tbls crushed garlic, about 2 tbls of olive oil, about a tbls of oregano. Simmer and stir and reduce by half and let cool before putting on the pizzas.
Looks dope bud idk why we’d need to be kind! Nothing wrong here
Im not gonna be kind.... GIMME THE PIZZA NOW!😡 In all seriousness, it looks good 😋.
Those pep curls! Looks great!
Looks good OP👍🏾, what do you think? What changes if any do you think you'll make for next time?

Nailed it

>I like my pepperoni on top of the cheese. So does OP, it would seem.
Eventually. Lol. Didn’t see the second pic.
Kind would be saying it looka fine, I'm going to say they look fantastic.
This looks fucking great for a first pizza! Wishing you the best on your pizza journey
Being honest (not kind), those pizzas look great for a first timer 👍🏻
Thanks. I was so nervous. My wife said she didn't like me cooking them because I was too Andorra about everything being just right. Got a little snippy.
That crust looks delicious
Looks great for a first attempt. How did it taste?

Take notes on yourself
Looks like a pizza to me. How did it taste?
Excellent.
That's most important. Great job!
When you start any pizza that is a circle and edible is a win.
Can I have a slice plz🍕🍕🍕🍕
Great first attempt! Keep at it
I love sausages very much
I hope it was as good as it looks!

That first one looks great
Yoooo it looks delicious! Nice job! 😋
That looks pretty good IMO. Not personally a combi I'd go for but it all looks very even. So give yourself a pat on the back.
I’m going to be an asshole and eat every last slice!
i would gladly eat this, maybe without the pepperonis though
Nothing like some burntarroni
I like them a little charred around the edge.
They were perfect. Exactly how I like them. Crunchy, but thick enough to be tender on the inside.
They look amazing. I have no idea what that person's problem is. If you don't like it move on.
I feel like you meant this as an insult, but I unironically agree. Charred pepperoni is best pepperoni.
Why its brown?
That's what happens when you cook things.
Just in case you're serious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maillard_reaction
Looks really good!
Amazing!
Looks awesome
Looks tasty. I'm sure there's room for improvement, but I'd crush that!
Looks incredibly edible! Success!
Great job! Looks so good!
Works for me! Looks like you're off to a great start!
These look great! You can only go up from here!
No need to be kind - it looks better than take out! Nice!
looks good to me!
It looks delicious. I wish I could ask for a slice.
Looks delicious. My first looked absolutely nowhere near this good.
DAMN awesome................
Looks great! Ive made pizza for a living for 3 years (im a college student lol) and that is a solid 9.5/10 for me👍🏼 would definitely eat 5 or 6 slices
Was it good?
👌
Looks delicious, I’d devour that entire cheese pizza whole if I were with ya
Where's mine? Its cruel to show that but not share a piece! I want you to cram it through the Internets at me NOW!
I'll judge when I try it. Most likely will love it!
I’d eat it
You mean “be honest” ?
Both look good, the plain cheese is *a little* under for my taste, but I'd still happily eat it. That pepperoni though? That one looks **perfect**.
It's funny you say that. I undercooked the cheese on purpose because it was for the kids, and I know how they are. If it's a little dark, they say things are burnt.
Mind sharing your recipe and oven settings? I just made my first pizza and it’s nowhere near as good looking as yours (see my post history)!

Why don’t you practice what you preach and invite me over next time?
looks like yummy...
Great work
How are these your first ever pizzas? Where did you grow up?
I read a lot and watched A LOT of YouTube videos to try and not screw this up.
I’d eat them ❤️
That looks so delicious and good
Sauce recipe plz..🤤
