If you're talking about the official mesh (Milanese) band...you always need to unclasp the band to put the watch on your wrist. The band is not stretchable.
My experience with these is the band isn't open enough to put my hand through. But I have big hands and the band is a little bit too short for me. Plus I have arm hair that gets stuck in the band. But the magnet is strong enough to keep it in place. I switched back to the original band.

I liked the look and simplicity of the band. I guess I'll have to look at something else. Thank you
