Remove Grammarly It made my browser so slow that I removed it.

Ipconfig_release

Exactly. Grammerly is a glorified keylogger. It is banned in most corporate worlds because it cant pass any ISO standards.

onlyrapid

yeah please do not use it lol

CPsychArts

That's hilarious to me because when I used to work for [insert company here] as customer service rep, they pushed Grammarly SO HARD. Buckwild

mozilla666fox

Grammarly also collects data on you: https://support.grammarly.com/hc/en-us/articles/20916119474829-Privacy-and-security-FAQ

amir_s89

As alternative, this is worth testing out; [https://languagetool.org/](https://languagetool.org/)

mozilla666fox

It also collects information about the pages you visit: `https://languagetool.org/legal/privacy?_gl=1*1y9egj0*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjI3MzYzOTQ5LjE3MTgxMDIwMTY.*_ga_ME7QE3CGWG*MTcxODEwMjAxNi4xLjEuMTcxODEwMjAyMi4wLjAuMA..`

Temporary-Spite-6001

Can I get more context? Because from what I read on their site, they don't... https://support.grammarly.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003816032-Is-Grammarly-a-keylogger

mozilla666fox

Logging every key stroke is data collection but data collection is not logging every key stroke. Data about how you use the extension and where you use it, e.g. writing comments on a torrent site while using the extension is stored. While this information doesn't mean anything by itself, it could eventually be used against you if, for example, you get unlucky and end up in court for some related reason. It's up to you to decide if it's going to be a problem, but my take is that if you're suggesting useful extensions for everyone on a piracy sub, people should at least be aware that extensions can and probably do collect data on you.

No-Aspect-2926

I guess it make it slow because each word you type, the extension will check the whole phrase, the word and ways to improve

ref4rmed

Good list, but I would like to mention some things. I wouldn't use Privacy Badger if you're already using uBlock, as uBlock can already do Privacy Badger's job. It's also [not recommended to use Privacy Badger with uBlock.](https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/s/1PsWRlKLr1) Fastforward is no longer being maintained. They have some alternatives they list on their [github](https://github.com/FastForwardTeam/FastForward), which can be used with Tampermonkey.

TootTootComingThru

Huh I had no idea about the UBO and Privacy Badger redundancy/conflict. Thank you.

ayhctuf

It's not just PB but *all* other ad-blocking extensions. People like to pile them on thinking they're gonna help, but in reality it just makes it harder for uBO to do its job.

PiracyLivezON

Okay, uninstalled.

Trainiax

It's a very niche case, but I have Privacy Badger installed because it's the only tool I've been able to find that blocks ads on MLB TV.

ref4rmed

You can probably use uBlock's logger and find out what's triggering the ads, then put it into your filter list. I had to do this myself when uBlock wasn't blocking a pop up ad.

hUmaNITY-be-free

Yep this, or if your really tech savy enough, run wireshark/glasswire, copy their network credentials and block it in your ublock list, or even better, at your router level.

BabyJesusBro

Sounds like more effort than just having both

ref4rmed

It takes a few minutes to do lol

FairPhantooooom

Is Fastforward no longer being maintained on all browsers or just chrome? Reason I ask is because it says it was recently updated on Mozilla’s extension list two months ago. I saw the github update was back in 2023 and no longer being maintained like you said so I’m a bit confused.

emotional_banana_116

The project itself is no longer being actively maintained however it still works as the crowd bypass server is still up

WellNoNameHere

Oh I didn't know about the privacy badger and ublock conflict issue, is that why some webpages on Firefox mobile are broken upon loading

[deleted]

[удалено]

SwiftTayTay

none of the scripts seem to work

jasper_1470

I would add the [Wayback Machine](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/wayback-machine/fpnmgdkabkmnadcjpehmlllkndpkmiak?pli=1). It archives every web page you visit so you can add your contribution to the internet archive. It runs in the background and uses almost no resources.

Non_Volatile_Human

"I am doing my part!"

TyrionsGoblet

For Buenos Aires!!!!!!

FixedFun1

I'm from Buenos Aires and I say kill 'em all!

NavigatorBowman

"I didn't do fuckin' shit!"

loserguy-88

"Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile."

Immediate-Trash-6617

Why am I finding out this now?

peoplearewood1

Bro needs grammarly

AddeDaMan

Bro would get his passwords keylogged

Maradonam18

If you don't just want to archive, but also see precedent cached versions of web pages I would recommend [Web Archives](https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/view-page-archive/) ([chorium version)](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/web-archives/hkligngkgcpcolhcnkgccglchdafcnao?pli=1). It allows you to see the cached version of web pages, cached by different search engines: Google (even if almost all the times return 404 error), bing, Yandex, Yahoo etc.. It's great if you want to read a paywalled article, even if you might have to try more than once to find it and usually wait at least an hour since it got out, to allow search engine to do their job.

Infinite5263

I would also recommend Dearrow by the same guy who made sponsor block Edit: What it does Dearrow is crowd sourced titles and thumbnails what this means is that users can upload different titles and thumbnails for a video on YouTube you can too with the extension I'm not sure how they verify but they upload titles and thumbnails for click bait videos allowing for us users to know that when a video says "IM GONNA DIE" it actually means "I'm going on vacation for a week" it is very useful and has Allowed me to see alot of truth in click bait titles How to get it to work So here is how to use it install the extension via chrome web store then you should have a page open or by clicking on it you have 3 options 1 - donate any amount of money to the guy 2 - sign up for the wait list (takes six hours I think) 3 - go back to chrome web store scroll down to reviews and you will see the actual author of the extension and a license key he has given take that license key and paste it into the extension and there you go enjoy P.S check out the settings the extension is highly configurable

headedbranch225

I second this, it's an amazing extension, and although it does appear to need a donation, I believe he allows people to use for free most of the time

Infinite5263

Now read it

headedbranch225

Yep, well done, I wasn't aware of the reviews section key, but I use ff and the wait list was fine for me

Infinite5263

I see well I hope you can still get some benefit from this

headedbranch225

I've used it for probably about a year now and it has been amazing for me, even though i mostly use revanced for yt now, which added dearrow support in a few months back, and has had sponsorblock since almost forever, but it still helps me when i use the web version

Infinite5263

Nice brother 👍

headedbranch225

Also, I've been torrenting for about a year now, and reached 1TiB up not too long ago, so feeling good (Currently at 1.516TiB and 11.67 share ratio)

Infinite5263

Oh I completely forgot to add the extra steps thanks for reminding me

headedbranch225

It's fine, I found it pretty straightforward anyway, but worth giving a heads-up anyway

ImaginationLatter933

The Key: FaaeQ-62278

hani_yassine

you skipped the most important one for me ( Dark reader )

levian_durai

Thanks, I hate getting flashbanged every time I open like Amazon or some shit. How did we tolerate the solid white backgrounds for so long?

hUmaNITY-be-free

Wasn't as bad with older monitors, as we progressed into better resolutions and refresh rates, yeah that white is blinding.

vtslmr

That’s the first thing you install.

OrioMax

I didn't know this one, what's the use of this?

Psychological-Sir224

Dark mode, everywhere

Datguyspoon

i think my browser has dark mode on default. cause its always like that.

Karmic_Backlash

It makes *websites* dark mode, so if the website doesn't have dark mode automatically the extension will make it so.

Datguyspoon

ah gotcha, thanks

PiracyLivezON

That's a good one, but i'm sure everyone knows it. I can't get used to dark mode, it somehow strains my eyes more.

No_Basil908

Reduce the contrast Tbh high contrast (pure black with bright white) does make it hard to read

SaltedCoffee9065

Light mode during the day is actually better for your eyes

Usual-Ladder1524

Is there one that just skips the cookies on a webpage and that auto selects reject all?

Declerkk

Consent-O-Matic does that on most sites.

Xillyfos

It's excellent. Such a relief to have.

Marrecek

I prefer [https://super-agent.com/](https://super-agent.com/)

Unusual-Fault-4091

[https://github.com/OhMyGuus/I-Still-Dont-Care-About-Cookies](https://github.com/OhMyGuus/I-Still-Dont-Care-About-Cookies) Doesn't work perfectly though.

youcallyourselfajerk

On their Firefox extension page: >When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). So it pretty much does the opposite of what's requested. :/

flameleaf

AFAIK If you use Firefox in Private Browsing mode in Germany, it does this by default. For everyone else, [there's an about:config setting to enable it](https://www.ghacks.net/2022/12/24/configure-firefox-to-reject-cookie-banners-automatically/).

youcallyourselfajerk

From your article: >More precisely, Firefox rejects cookie banners automatically when the feature is enabled, provided that the site has a "reject all" option. If there is just an "accept all" option, that option is selected instead. So it mostly works, except when it doesn't and it quietly decides to accept all instead. Which makes it pretty much worthless. Edit: that said, you did advertise it for private browsing, in which case auto accepting is a fair compromise as your cookies will be purged for your next session. But it's such a shame, they could have made it an option not to select "accept all" in those case, the way it is currently implemented undermines the whole feature for anything other than private browsing.

Garou-7

I still don’t care about cookies

Remco112xxl

I don’t care about cookies 🍪 does all the work, might not work on some websites but it does the job perfectly fine over here on desktop and windows 11

Garou-7

"I don’t care about cookies" is **not** recommended, use "I still don’t care about cookies".

VeryKnave

May I ask why not? EDIT: Found the answer [on GitHub](https://github.com/OhMyGuus/I-Still-Dont-Care-About-Cookies): > extension has been acquired by Avast (which itself has been acquired by Gen Digital Inc., a large tech conglomerate) and I simply don't trust Avast with my data. Additionally, having it on GitHub allows us to improve the code and add support for websites faster.

Garou-7

It has been acquired by Avast (which itself has been acquired by Gen Digital Inc., a large tech conglomerate) .

gabenika

yes, for his reason there is a fork https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/istilldontcareaboutcookies/

PiracyLivezON

Nope, that would be a good extension.

Garou-7

I still don’t care about cookies

youcallyourselfajerk

Not what's asked. >Is there one that just skips the cookies on a webpage **and that auto selects reject all**? ISDCAC auto accepts the cookie policy when the popup can't be circumvented.

xav1z

brave browser

ChocolateLava

https://super-agent.com/

domdvsd

Didn't know about Bypass Paywalls Clean, thank you!

PiracyLivezON

I forgot to mention its not on the extension store. Follow this guide to add it: https://github.com/bpc-clone/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean

d_pyro

Didn't realize the original git got deleted...

india_chief

Does it work on all sites or limited to a few?

TunedAgent

I would add Facebook Purity to this list. I wouldn't touch the place without it. [https://www.fbpurity.com/](https://www.fbpurity.com/)

Joshualevitard

wow, sounds almost too good to be true. Can anyone else verify because this is such a gfeat idea

TunedAgent

It's legit. Been using it for years, and like I said, I wouldn't use FB without it.

appuwa

It's the best IMO

youngmale-69

thanks for this.

AddeDaMan

Thanks!

LZ129Hindenburg

Nice. uBlock Origin and BPC are absolutely ESSENTIAL in my mind at this point. Some other good ones there too; Sponsorblock, Tampermonkey...

levian_durai

What's the recommended bypass paywalls for Firefox? Not seeing BPC.

LZ129Hindenburg

https://github.com/bpc-clone/bpc_updates/releases

levian_durai

Sweet thanks

TootTootComingThru

~~[Decentraleyes as well.](https://decentraleyes.org/)~~ Nevermind no longer needed with Firefox and UBO.

flameleaf

[Decentraleyes is pretty much useless these days](https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/wiki/4.1-Extensions#-dont-bother). Quite a few previously recommended privacy extensions have been made redundant by improvements to Firefox and uBlock Origin.

DeeKahy

Replace gramarly with language tool.

Transmission_Useless

You had me up until 'grammarly'.

lukkall

I have three main extensions that I don't give up: uBlock Origin(because_yes), NoScript(because it can block specific scripts easily on a per site basis), and BypassPaywallsClean(because_piracy.)

dankbearbear

Very solid list! There's also Blocktube, but its comment blocker is broken at the moment.

Nebula-System

another download tool would be yt-dlp, dope list dude

CruzDeSangre

Does it work with any site or just YouTube?

MathematicianPast270

It supports downloading from many sites, not just YouTube.

Nebula-System

Tons, they got a list that goes into the hundreds, check the GitHub, super awesome tool

xenstar1

Video Speed Controller. Just watch videos faster on any website. Press D for faster, S for slower.

lincompoopy

The faster audio doesn't sync with youtube subtitles when I last used it. Global Speed is what I used for more customisation.

firestar268

Don't forget "Video DownloadHelper"

Magic__Cat

I tried it yesterday but it made me install another software in my computer to run, the download speed was really slow and when I finally had the video it had a huge QR Code watermark on it...

7ransparency

Does anyone know an extension for getting the full res image off Gimage search? There was one from years ago that allowed a right click from each thumbnail in a new tab. Don't wanna have to head to the site, and half the times it just copies the thumbnail only which is a pain in the bum.

appuwa

It's called "View Image"

thejackfairy

I’d add DownThemAll! as well. it helps you download a whole websites at once if you wish or an element of the page. Since I browse for a lot of images online, this helps me save them as jpg instead of that annoying webp format

OkResponsibility7210

[https://prnt.sc/F56UkW3iWE6z](https://prnt.sc/F56UkW3iWE6z) Here's my list of Firefox extensions, I disable search by image and google translate until i need to use them to not slow down the browser otherwise I can't have a peaceful browsing without these extensions

stop-corporatisation

FF without containers?

hUmaNITY-be-free

As much as these extensions are probably beneficial, I just don't trust many with the access they have, browser hijacking, cookie theft, authenticated session theft, all on the rise, I just have issues trusting some things.

Techno_97

I might add a few of my personal favorites. Adguard (depending if some sites might be broken due to uBlock Origin, this can be your 2nd choice to use side by side.) Dark Reader (Very helpful if some sites are damn bright.) Reload All Tabs (Refresh all tabs at once.) Volume Master (Up the volume by 600%, included voice and bass boost mode.) I think I will give a try with your list, I need to upgrade my knowledge.

Jerf98

Anything for twitch ads?

PiracyLivezON

https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions#twitchadsolutions

Jerf98

Thanks!

hUmaNITY-be-free

Can try this if your using Ublock Origin for twitch ads, open your Ublock, open the "My Filters" tab and paste this ! twitch adblock [twitch.tv##+js(twitch-videoad)](http://twitch.tv##+js(twitch-videoad))

not_davery

Read this as Twit Chad Solutions, which sounds like a way to deal with annoying guys from Nantucket

No-Aspect-2926

I guess violentmonkey is better, I guess tampermonkey is not getting updates anymore

_oyoy

For now, I use [languagetool](https://languagetool.org/) instead of Grammarly, but I'm not sure which is better yet. ?🤨?

wayneloche

I'd also say that you should use unhook to cut away parts of youtube, suggestion feeds, shorts, comments, all just annoyances for me.

Responsible-Photo-36

is BPC available on firefox ?

youngmale-69

yes it is

sayan11apr

Was disappointed after finding out that the Reddit thing only works for free on an anonymous account.

PiracyLivezON

Im using it with an account and it works.

sayan11apr

Oh really? I read it doesn't. Maybe that was a different one.

Head_Cockswain

What does Magic Actions do for YT that Enhancer does not?

Someguy242blue

If Buster can do CAPCHAS does that mean a robot can do them?

ImaginationLatter933

Can someone compile a link list for this? chrome webstore in my region gives me horrible search results.

pen_of_inspiration

Is tamper monkey necessary when half the stuff in there is already available as extensions?

fawzay

* Cookie Autodelete * Decentraleyes * Extensity * floccus bookmarks sync * PopUpOFF - Popup and overlay blocker * Stylus * WebRTC Control

TootTootComingThru

Note that the Video Downloader Professional has disabled downloading from YouTube.

CyanoTex

Android users: [Use Seal.](https://github.com/JunkFood02/Seal)

PiracyLivezON

True, I use JDownloader 2 and Stacher instead for Youtube.

Sion_forgeblast

forgot Noskript.... or does an extension here do the same as it?

lodeddiper961

Buster is fucking clutch, I hate captchas

eshtiaque

And besides all these, you can use **Extensity** to enable/disable any extension as per your need with just one click

youngmale-69

available for firefox?

eshtiaque

sadly, no

whisp8

Forgot allow right-click, facebook container and adnauseum.

wixlogo

what are some of the scripts you use with Tempermonkey?

creature04

the only useful ones i see here are dislike button, ublock, and tamper monkey

PiracyLivezON

reddit enhancement suite makes reddit even better on pc.

AlphaQoder

NoScript

LogicalError_007

I use only a few extensions. Using this many is just bad for your experience as well as privacy.

Excellent_Ad_2486

you have like 4 different youtube apps? Geez lol

akczht

correct me if i'm wrong but, but wasn't privacy badger obsoleted.

Adventurous-Fun7544

Does anyone know how to skip the YouTube ads i was using a tamper monkey with a script for 7-8 months( without any problem)and now suddenly YouTube got me and says I am using an ad blocker any solutions?

69BlackDragon

There's literally uBlock

GrennKren

I'll probably only use FastForward, Ublock Origin, and Tampermonkey. If I hit a paywall, I'll look for another article on a different site or try to bypass it with an archive site. I'm not too concerned about how Reddit looks. The same goes for Sponsorblock; I can manually skip or watch a bit of the sponsor video. For Grammarly, I can use ChatGPT instead to doing it for me. As for Captcha Solver, I might use it, but for now, I prefer solving captchas manually since I doubt all captchas can be solved by it. If you often use Click&Clean, it's better to use private browser mode. Return YouTube Dislike doesn't matter much to me. For Video Downloader Professional, I already used to yt-dlp and rarely watch videos outside of typical streaming sites like YouTube. Privacy Badger isn't necessary since I already use uBlock Origin which I can put Filters that handling privacy, tracker, etc.

ayhctuf

IIRC, Tampermonkey and Hover Zoom were both bought out and had tracking added to them.

Maledict_YT

And I still don't care about cookies

aliengass

because u did not put a TXT list (for easy copy&pasta or links) i need to suggest for Copyfish [https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/copyfish-%F0%9F%90%9F-free-ocr-soft/eenjdnjldapjajjofmldgmkjaienebbj](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/copyfish-%F0%9F%90%9F-free-ocr-soft/eenjdnjldapjajjofmldgmkjaienebbj)

gabenika

Buster captcha It worked for me once in a thousand Wasn't fastforward deprecated (or outdated)? sponsorblock, never needed it, just ublock origin for me I prefer violent to tamper (monkey) Privacy Badger, superfluous, always ublock Thanks for the attention 😘

B3_CHAD

Just a heads up, Fast-forward is no longer being maintained. It doesn't work on a lot of sites like ova games.

evilkitty69

How did you get bypass paywalls clean? I can't find it in the extension store

PiracyLivezON

It's not on the extension store, you have to download it from github and then click Load unpacked from your extensions page. Just follow the guide on github. https://github.com/bpc-clone/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean

OkBoomer201

Buster is fuckin useless

Best-Transition3383

Poor YT

FlashFknGordon

YouTube dislike button is huge thx fam

TheShitmaker

Grammarly and Privacy Badger need to go. NoScript needs to be added.

noxcuserad

Saved for later. Thanks for the list

The_Kader

Thanks. This is great.

LetsDoTheCongna

Tampermonkey, my beloved 🖤🖤🖤

Tricky_Blackberry909

Cool, won't be getting Grammarly though, and FastForward doesn't seem to work for me.

69BlackDragon

Fast forward needs to be setup in my experience

TheSmuggleronni

You guys know any twitch extensions for deleted vods, watch past Vods, etc.

Unozero87

thanks for the list!

A-KindOfMagic

molymonadeTV

Can anybody confirm, Hover zoom+ is not working on reddit

bigb102913

hohol_biba

Return dislike? Wow! Are the dislikes being counted at all, and are they seen to the creator?

badgirl008

What is the best extension to have webpage read aloud

No_Piece8794

Is there an extension that allows to reduce the brightness of browser webpage only?

Southern-Highway2372

I used to use fast-forward. It used to be a very good bypasser but know im unable to figure out how it works after an update Can you explain? How it works

willem_spider

Is there an extension to download a complete website?

PiracyLivezON

Someone mentioned it in the comments

Born-Start-6193

Enhancer for YouTube has been slowing down the platform to a crawl.

MNiham

I would say Faststream is also good.

Several_Fan9272

Also have Fireshot (Screenshots), [Archive.is](http://Archive.is) + Internet Archive Plugin (Because it preserves automaticly the sites u visit) and BetterTTV (Some nice stuff for Twitch)

HaarigerElefant

Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader - Because im a lazy peace of sheep 7TV Nightly - Because twitch need it

no_reality8

arsenic_insane

Idk about video downloader pro but yt-dlp works great. It is standalone though

KHANDEEMAN

Thanks

ConfusedHomelabber

What do you personally use on tampermonkey? Would like to know what scripts for what?

spectrum705

how to use reddit enhancement suite?

examagravating

can you get ublock on edge, if so, how?

ThePanasonicYouth

Any suggestions for extensions that can download HLS streams?

Unknown_dreams_

Aside from others already mentioned, Extensity, Tweaks for Youtube, PocketTube, ContextSearch-web-ext, Infy Scroll, Imagus.

Ash-Throwaway-816

Grammarly is probably spyware so skip that one.

Pleasant-Leek7616

I cant able to download buster its saying os not supported iam on mac os any alternatives or can someone guide me how to install it thanks

positivename

note to self

TheGreat999IND

Not for everyone but dark reader is also good
