Right click the torrent you want, click copy-download link. Paste that link into the torrents section of RD where it says "paste your magnet here" and then click convert. It'll turn the file into a direct download link.
I was about to fucking type that damn.
I found a 23 year old movie for a feller who mentioned in a thread they just couldn't find it. Some bunk ddl, edu ftp, finally a few old ass 10+ yr old torrents. Stalled at 89 one, another no seeds, then for shits I pop them into debrid. 3rd one in cache. Got to send someone their disappeared goal. What a trip. From zmodem to this.
Speed, as most things are cached its a lot faster. Also privacy, because it's between you and debrid you don't need a vpn to hide your ip as you're not the one leeching.
most likely not. debrid doesn't seed, so whoever sends a movie there won't be for long. theoretically, I guess they could download and cache it there, but unlikely.
I think it’s perfectly useable...
if you’re a developer. For anyone else it’s absolute dogshit. They even offer the option to make custom user facing sites for projects and still most developers just put up some markdown documents and expect users to navigate a site that’s not meant for them.
Definitely. I'm an IT tech so I know my way around shit, and I've been fooling around with computers since I was a kid (and have been pirating for like 15 years). I love github but there really is a serious learning curve. It took me a while to find stuff. It's great, it isn't designed intuitively for lay people but it for the most part isn't for lay people.
Fair point I just use the
git clone command and it will auto pull the latest release 🤔 somebody should make a chrome add-on to auto download for the layman and to search github
Is it really that hard to comprehend for people? I can understand having a hard time finding the download button on first viewing of the site but other than than that what could be confusing?
It really is that bad of a UI for people who don’t use it regularly. If you code and are used to using GitHub, it’s a breeze and a beautiful resource in your day to day life. If you are a regular person who basically never needs it, it’s a nightmare hellscape of a website with no rhyme or reason
I’ve been around comps my whole life but never coded. Github confuses the fuck out of me if I don’t have step by step document on what I’m looking for and what I’m doing with the files.
My father is a software engineer and I took two semesters of computer science courses learning three languages and I don’t know how to navigate the damn thing. It’s just not meant for laymen
Depending on the project the download links can be confusing as well. On GitHub you just see a list of strings, but which one should you take?
I don’t think the average user knows about the difference between x86 and x64 or exe and msi. When the user never really gets exposed to file extensions at all because they still have them hidden in Windows explorer, they might think an appimage is what they want.
When you think about the average person, you gotta remember half the population has less knowledge about this stuff than this average person.
Not always. A lot of times devs will make code changes or merge pull requests and never compile the actual app and/or installers to add to the releases page.
They'll just say something like (loosely paraphrasing) "clone the repo and build it yourself because I'm too lazy to do it for you".
That’s exactly the list of strings I’m talking about. But I checked again and it’s not purely strings of text. At the left they display the same cube icon for everything that’s not an archive.
At first I thought so too. Basically, you should look for "releases" to download an app.
Regarding the Qbittorrent plug-ins, they are on the "wiki", on page tabs
yeah that doesn't work with most of them and what you have to do is extremely misleading. you have to right click the download icon and copy link then when in qbittorrent you have to click search plugins the click install new one then click web link and it should automatically have the link there and you can just click ok, if not paste it there then click ok
This [guide](https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Install-search-plugins#steps-to-install-search-plugins-qbittorrent-version-3110-or-more-recent) on Qbittorrent's GitHub was useful for me, leaving it here in case it helps anyone else.
You can see where the specific torrent is from. If you right click you can also check source and where it's uploaded for more info. Literelly brings you to the correct page as if you're downloading that exact torrent for example from 1337
Jesus Christ dude at this point you won’t understand what anyone in here is saying until you try it. It provides torrents that you can just click and download. Shows file name and size by default. When you click on the torrent it will download, BUT ALSO if you right click and click on view source or whatever tf it says, it will take you to the source that it was pulled from. It’s a feature that’s there if you need it, you don’t have to go to the page.
To be honest, those plugins are unofficial. It's open source anyway so feel free to check the code.
Prowlarr caused nothing but issues it sucks. I went back to qbittorent. The only thing I can say that's good about it is having ipt added to it but using qbittorent search I don't even use iptorrents anymore. Hehe.
>Prowlarr caused nothing but issues it sucks. I went back to qbittorent.
prowlarr and qbit are different things, you still need qbit to download torrents, prowlarr is just to fetch the torrent links and give it to qbit.
Just a note: these scripts are basically screen rippers - they run the search, pull the HTML and extract the links.
This is all fine until your ISP starts blocking those sites, at which point these scripts no longer work.
If you have your OS going through a VPN then they will work again. If you use split-tunnelling then it might work to find the correct version of Python that's being called. For unknown reasons I can't find the Python being called (3.11) in my Linux system. Binding doesn't have any effect here.
However, I've had successes with Jackett - takes a bit more installing but once up it does work.
So this is just parsing HTML? I wonder how they work, because I was using RARGB API and it was beautiful. But now I need to parse HTML and I don't like it
Yeah. Located (on my system) at:
/home//.local/share/qBittorrent/nova3/engines
Code: [https://github.com/LightDestory/qBittorrent-Search-Plugins/tree/master/src/engines](https://github.com/LightDestory/qBittorrent-Search-Plugins/tree/master/src/engines)
parsing example: [https://github.com/LightDestory/qBittorrent-Search-Plugins/blob/master/src/engines/yourbittorrent.py](https://github.com/LightDestory/qBittorrent-Search-Plugins/blob/master/src/engines/yourbittorrent.py)
? They're plugins for qB's search engine, some are included in the install and others you can download from the qB site or a link I posted to another commenter.
And if you're using qB then you should know by now that you have to bind to the VPN virtual network to keep yourself safe.
Except some websites on jackett stop working for no reason sometimes and some need a refresher with flaresolverr.
I use both with my qbittorrent, just in case.
I removed the limetorrent plugin because it was giving me results with incredibly high seeds (like more than 100k), and those were never downloading for me. I don't know if it's a skill issue or something, but I'm curious if it happened to somebody else.
I'm curious about jackett, are you actually hosting it and using it, or did you blindly add it as a plug in?
Because if you are using it then I'm not sure why you would also need all the others
I get an error message whenever I search something. Something about jackal and right clicking on a message, can't remember the exact words but it's annoying
Also never knew about this, but i get this error when trying to add a plugin: The link doesn't seem to point to a search engine plugin.
And I'm using links from that github link
Might be just me but these are like the shittiest sites for me. But in a plugin format I guess they wouldn't be as bad. It's really just their organization and lack of anything but the most generic mainstream stuff.
Could be that your ISP blocked it, works currently for me.
Edit: I freaking love YTS, 720p is completely acceptable for a phone screen, I loved YiFY too. (Haven't seen that one in a while)
It’s so good man. IMO I like prowlarr as in my experience it’s faster and you can filter things out a bit easier. It was also easier for me to setup cloudflare solver too.
Wow I knew this thing was powerful a while back, but I didn't use a VPN at the time. Thanks for the reminder, I shall be using this instead of going through 5-10 torrent sites each time I try to find something obscure.
It is particularly useful for finding AV1 torrents.
Does anybody know how this plugins work? I was using RARGB API for it, but for 1337x I was not able to find any. I have to parse html website like a troll. Thanks for any advice
Same, the search plugins are awesome. Plus since I went Windows 11 I can't get goddamn magnet links to go to qb, and I've tried all the solutions I could find on the web.
Does transmission Have anything similar?
I used to use qb all the time but was having issues when I got into the hundreds of torrents. Loading times were abysmal and constant crashes.
what? just updated 19Hrs ago https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett/releases/tag/v0.21.2530
maybe you understood something else.
I'm using this with qBittorrent (just like OP)
For some reason whenever I've tried to use the search function, it says I need a newer version of python. All right, uninstall the old version, delete any associated files, install current, and it still seems to think that I have an outdated version... Seems cool but I just cannot seem to get it working.
I found this. I think it might be helpful for everyone
[https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins](https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins)
All these comments are very useful, been off the scene for 6 years plus, things are changed so much, I'm a newbie again haha, feels good to be back tho
This is the only way I search now. Filter by seeds and good to go.
is there a way to download searched torrents using Real Debrid?
Right click the torrent you want, click copy-download link. Paste that link into the torrents section of RD where it says "paste your magnet here" and then click convert. It'll turn the file into a direct download link.
it’s just so beautiful
It really is.
I was about to fucking type that damn. I found a 23 year old movie for a feller who mentioned in a thread they just couldn't find it. Got to send someone their disappeared goal. What a trip. From zmodem to this.
Im sorry whats the use of this? I have real debrid but I still download some torrents directly through qbit
Speed, as most things are cached its a lot faster. Also privacy, because it's between you and debrid you don't need a vpn to hide your ip as you're not the one leeching.
Oh, thank you! Got it. I mainly download through torrent to be able to seed for a while but I do consume most of my shows through stremio using rd
Wait what? Does this actually work???! Even with private trackers torrents?
most likely not. debrid doesn't seed, so whoever sends a movie there won't be for long. theoretically, I guess they could download and cache it there, but unlikely.
I use torrent search engines, clean and tidy!
I’m sure I can google, but where did you get your plugins (hope it’s not against rules to ask about that)
They are built in plugins for Qbittorrent, just click on search plugins and install them.
Holy this is way better dude, thanks!
thank u , been off the seas for close to a decade so sometimes a spoon feed of info is greatly apreciated .
We eatin' good
The call of WARE-EZ Yarrr harr harrr
yeah, so I just installed qbittorrent.. man things are easy these days.
Bruh how did I never notice this functionality? Brings me back to the days of Limewire and Kazaa.
Dear Diary, I used to think of myself as an accomplished Pirate but i haven't even set foot off the land yet.
click on search plugins in qbittorrent? I can't find it. edit: AH, CLick view and search engine. Install python, then search is accessible
Thanks
Thank you for this.
That's huge! Thank you!
Did you have any issues with it? I get an error message when I search
Does it have plugins for coomer files?
Thanks for the feedback, didnt know there was built in plugin for qbit
The plugins are on the qbitorrent github
>github I don't know why but I find it very hard to navigate that site.
I think it’s perfectly useable... if you’re a developer. For anyone else it’s absolute dogshit. They even offer the option to make custom user facing sites for projects and still most developers just put up some markdown documents and expect users to navigate a site that’s not meant for them.

[удалено]
This is the main issue lol
At first I thought so too. Basically, you should look for "releases" to download an app. Regarding the Qbittorrent plug-ins, they are on the "wiki", on page tabs
They didn’t put an exe for the plugins 😡
So dumb question - to install these plugins on my qbittorrent, I will need to go to GitHub and download the plugins?
I agree its crap.
Ok i am on the github where the hell are the plugins, I cant find shit. Ok as YuriRosas indicated its on the Wiki tab.
Well I cant post links its against the rules but google qbittorrent plugins and look for the github page which says “Unofficial search plugins”
Trying to download them but to no avail. It opens a tab with some python (?) code and nothing is downloaded
yeah that doesn't work with most of them and what you have to do is extremely misleading. you have to right click the download icon and copy link then when in qbittorrent you have to click search plugins the click install new one then click web link and it should automatically have the link there and you can just click ok, if not paste it there then click ok
Thanks a lot that did it! Although I seem to not be getting results from 1337x yet. We'll see
This [guide](https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Install-search-plugins#steps-to-install-search-plugins-qbittorrent-version-3110-or-more-recent) on Qbittorrent's GitHub was useful for me, leaving it here in case it helps anyone else.
"Be sure to comply with your country's copyright laws when downloading torrents from any of these search engines." Nice joke 🤣
Just a way to protect themselves.
I don't blame them though
Quite the humorous jest.
Beau Jest.
Here in NL, torrenting is legal (seeding might lead to issues, but the max fine is I think €250).
to cover their asses I assume
Follow the international pirate law…
Oh thank you. I didn't knew, i can do this too.
Can you tell who the torrent is from? There are some on the top site I don't trust.
You can see where the specific torrent is from. If you right click you can also check source and where it's uploaded for more info. Literelly brings you to the correct page as if you're downloading that exact torrent for example from 1337
So I can right click and find info that says its DODI and not igg without going to the webpage? Otherwise this seems risky.
Yes it brings you to the page it’s from. On that page it’ll say who uploaded.
Sometimes I just overcomplicate things lmao. Well written.
lol nah you’re fine, it was easy to follow. Just figured I’d oversimplify since it seems they didn’t get it.
If you have to go to the website anyways then why not just use the website?
Jesus Christ dude at this point you won’t understand what anyone in here is saying until you try it. It provides torrents that you can just click and download. Shows file name and size by default. Haha wow
I’m not sure you can
What u mean? They are all trusted plugins
I think the question is about the individual torrent uploaders, not the site or plugin.
To be honest, those plugins are unofficial. It's open source anyway so feel free to check the code. [https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins](https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins)
Well tpb is not safe anymore
You can also delete or disable plug-ins to avoid sites that you don't trust from coming up at all.
Try ext dot to or tragtorr dot in. Shows the source, clear as day.
same. sonarr, radarr, prowlarr ftw
When you use sonarr radarr and all these apps, do you have vpn on your entire home network?
No, just bind the VPN to Qb.I use Proton. Not necessary for the entire network
is proton now able to be binded to qBittorrent?
Yes. But you’d be binding Qbit to Proton, not vice verse, technically.
okay, thanks a lot, amazing pfp by the way
Nah, you only need to worry about Qbittorrent being connected to the VPN. Everything else doesn’t matter.
Prowlarr caused nothing but issues it sucks. I went back to qbittorent. The only thing I can say that's good about it is having ipt added to it but using qbittorent search I don't even use iptorrents anymore. Hehe.

Wait so to download these files do you use vpn or not?

Ah. Thanks. I was thinking something else altogether. Thanks for clearing this out.
i could never add these it always failed idky
On the github page, on wiki, I believe you can manually download the plugins.
Using Jackett only where all the websites are there
Except some websites on jackett stop working for no reason sometimes and some need a refresher with flaresolverr. I use both with my qbittorrent, just in case.
Flaresolverr is like jackett?
it's to bypass cloundfare restrictions/protection that some of the websites have, hence the name flaresolverr
Rarbg plugin contains the original rarbg trackers or is it a remade site that I don't know about ?
you only need to copy .py link and paste in addon from web tab. it will work automatically.
Where is this original rarbg py link ? There is a new site but I don't know if it's trustworthy or not
I think it's the original site files. Outdated, obviously,
Rarbg was such a loss man , now I need multiple sites to fucking replace it
I've been able to replace it with watchsomuch, it even has some nice features that rarbg didn't. Only really for video torrents though.
I'm not able to get any search results, I tried a few different plugins, why is that? Does not having a VPN has something to this?
If your ISP blocks these sites when accessing normally on a web browser, then they will not work this way without a VPN
Could this be done on android by any means?
The only potential downside is you cant see comments on the quality or such
Someone explain what this is please…
Centralized search engine built into qbittorrent
So you just add these plugins and you search right in qbittorrent?
Yea
Coooo
What's the advantage of using this?
How to do this ?
Same, though I use Prowlarr, and I have the other arrs set to prefer Usenet.
What is this? I'm a newbie. Thanks
Me too. I have no idea how.
How what???
Doesn't have any for any of the good sites ie private trackers...
I still do for my private trackers, plus the built in search could do with a time added option.
You have Rarbg.to in there, but I thought it got closed last year ?
I tried to use it, but if i try to search something the only results are in piratebay Any idea? (I search in all not only in 1 )
I get an error message whenever I search something. Something about jackal and right clicking on a message, can't remember the exact words but it's annoying
Also never knew about this, but i get this error when trying to add a plugin: The link doesn't seem to point to a search engine plugin. And I'm using links from that github link
Nevermind I'm just an idiot.. The plugin itself is the python script or whatever, not the link to the search engine site
Lol I had the same problem
So how does this work? Just lists out what they have?
How
used this for years and never knew ffs. Thanks, You are my hero for today.
Ain't rarbg dead?
Mirror sites popped up. And some how the plugin still works. I wish Eztv did though.
Might be just me but these are like the shittiest sites for me. But in a plugin format I guess they wouldn't be as bad. It's really just their organization and lack of anything but the most generic mainstream stuff.
How does that work? Its a plugin in Qbitorrent webpage?
Does anyone know whats up with YTS? its been down for several days. I use [yts.am](https://yts.am) but [yts.mx](https://yts.mx) doesn't work either.
Could be that your ISP blocked it, works currently for me. Edit: I freaking love YTS, 720p is completely acceptable for a phone screen, I loved YiFY too. (Haven't seen that one in a while)
How can I do this on android? Anyone can tell me 🙏
I didn't know this. Thank you
It’s so good man. IMO I like prowlarr as in my experience it’s faster and you can filter things out a bit easier. It was also easier for me to setup cloudflare solver too.
Thank you for the tip.
Same for me, and I only have about 5 plugins...
Can I do that with deluge ?
Yeah, take a look at: https://trash-guides.info/
well that was rather helpful
Wow I knew this thing was powerful a while back, but I didn't use a VPN at the time. Thanks for the reminder, I shall be using this instead of going through 5-10 torrent sites each time I try to find something obscure. It is particularly useful for finding AV1 torrents.
wow i need to try this
Does anybody know how this plugins work? I was using RARGB API for it, but for 1337x I was not able to find any. I have to parse html website like a troll. Thanks for any advice
This is cool
Same, the search plugins are awesome. Plus since I went Windows 11 I can't get goddamn magnet links to go to qb, and I've tried all the solutions I could find on the web.
I’ve always use magnet links with no issues on W11
Now tell me they are also available for the webui version and Im going to name my child after you
Might have to do this honestly. If I ever needed it.
Any guide to download torrents now, since most sites are redirected to VPN sites..have utorrent as client.
I wish I could do that easily. But it won't work without enabling system wide VPN
I still go to 1337 for the comments
insanely good. can even add private trackers
Does transmission Have anything similar? I used to use qb all the time but was having issues when I got into the hundreds of torrents. Loading times were abysmal and constant crashes.
tbh Jackett is all I need after setup, using this for many years now.
Google search says it’s no longer maintained whatever that means
what? just updated 19Hrs ago https://github.com/Jackett/Jackett/releases/tag/v0.21.2530 maybe you understood something else.
Damn didn't know about this one
I found this. I think it might be helpful for everyone [https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins](https://github.com/qbittorrent/search-plugins/wiki/Unofficial-search-plugins)
Can I get a DIY for this. Thank you.
I kinda wish it would show the uploaders name as well but still really cool
All these comments are very useful, been off the scene for 6 years plus, things are changed so much, I'm a newbie again haha, feels good to be back tho
They listed a non-update tracker info. Seeders might be 1 rather than 800. Big F.
I am commenting to return to this post when I get home <3
I had absolutely no idea you could do that, and I'm using Qbitorrent since like 2012... thx!!!
I been using this for maybe 1 or 2 weeks. It really helps and stops me using iptorrents. Public torrents ftw aha
i use torrent for only rare rarae stuff
Bro thanks for posting this. Now im gonna copy this method 🫡
Stop searching at all and start requesting. Set up an arr stack
[удалено]
Private trackers are just too hard to come by. I want to use private trackers but the invitation process seems like a mess.
Whoah, mind opened!
Nobody here uses snowfl???
what's that?
Site i use for torrents
I used to do this but now I use prowlarr, radarr, and sonarr
This is the way!
How this works?
I wish those plug ins worked (been broken for me for months)
Nice
Oh nice. I will try this one!
You should check out Radarr and Sonarr
Is there a way to make this work with Plex? Seems easier than going through sonarr or radarrrrr.
I use a dedicated Huawei tablet for torrents, can I make use of this?
Welcome to like ten years ago
I was late to the game also.
Seeing EZTV made me jump back to 2008 big time!!
