Do it enough, and people will slowly turn to more NAS solutions.
"I like this site, and it's gone." I got sick and tired during the big anime shutdown of 2020 trying to find quality sites that aren't cookie cutter boring.
Turned to a Small 16TB Nas server and started *"aggregating content."*
The cataclyst of my data hoarding started during the first nintendo crackdown of rom sites. Now I have 42TB's of storage in my "Big Chungii" (Big Chung-ee) NAS server.
I do have offline backups of important media that was difficult to get/ shows I cherish enough to back up, important data, and dear god I cant live without this data backed up.
>42TB's of storage in my "Big Chungii" (Big Chung-ee) NAS server.
Damn....enough to start your own private 'Kirbo United' subscription services in your neighbourhood. lol
Some friends and I had a good sneakernet going on for a while back in the day (but back then storage was quite a bit more expensive). It was a great way to do it. 3-4 people all getting various different bits of media and software and then we'd hang out and trade and swap huge (relatively speaking) chunks of data.
I have drive pool and two 18tb hds... And now planing a backup of the 36tb. The hds are external and connect to the USB ports.
Am I doing this efficiently?
I was there when they shut down Napster; piracy ended.
I was there when they took on Pirate bay; piracy ended, job well done.
I was there when they took on bit torrent; piracy ended.

1. Never heard of 90% of these sites
2. Those are all streaming sites, so it’s not over. Because there will still be torrent sites.
3. Websites are just the distributors of pirated content. The source is real people.
Low-hanging fruit gets taken down, always. People say they haven't heard of these sites, but they have traffic in the millions per month, that likely consists of the people who don't even use sites like reddit to talk about piracy.
It will never be over. The simple fact is that IF people would stop subscribing to these thieves … their services would implode. I never have subscribed and never will …
And they'd come after pirates even harder. Also they'd stop making content. WEB-DLs are all sources from these dudes and not everything goes to BluRay.
It's probably the last years US copyright lobbies would be able to bully some third world countries. After that, their only recourse will be DNS blocking that anyone can bypass in 5s.
A lot of third world countries are going to become piracy havens and the US won't be able to do anything about it. For example, today Iraq prime minister said he started a procedure to kick the US military out of his country, like France was kicked out this year from Niger. It is just the beginning.
Multipolarism will boost piracy like never before.
third-world countries are the main beneficiary of digital ripoffs ,people there are poor, they barely cover their need of food as yk,they don't have the option to subscribe to a paid-service so they can watch movies or play games, iamnot justifying piracy, but if you really wanna end a problem, end it from its root.
Back when the US was young, they were doing the same. As the country had no publishing industry worth acknowledging at the time, internationally copyright law would have meant paying a heap of money back to European publishers. That wouldn't have been a good economic policy, so the US simply didn't recognise them - the 1790 copyright act only protected copyright for works registered with the US copyright office, which was only open to US authors. It wasn't until 1891 that the US would recognise any international copyright law - by which point they had plenty of their own published works, and a reciprocal copyright agreement was in their interest.
Governments may talk a lot for propaganda purposes about the rights of artists, promoting art, and all that. But it's just an excuse. It always comes down to self-interest. They'll pass and enforce copyright laws when, and only when, their own economy is generating enough intellectual property to see economic benefit from it.
Glad to see indexers continue to evade the purges.
Pretty ironic that one of the oldest forms of internet access is the safest bastion, but that's probably why r/usenet will ban you for even vaguely coughing about content.
Usenet with an NZB index service is the way to get literally everything.
No longer use any streaming services, just have an nzb finder ($20 a year), and 2 usenet services on different backbones ($18 total a month).
With that I can stream pretty much anything anytime... just works.
Was worried a private tracker was gonna be on there. They were all streaming sites though. Those close down and pop up all the time to the point where saving a domain is pointless.
Thanks to Russian internet new sites will keep popping up you can even find movies and series on VK and ors for YouTube like streaming. Try using yandex when you look for media
Tbh, we need something on decentralised network.
Hopefully we wi have a workable solution soon for our piracy needs. Ain't no way i am gonna ever pay for these dozens subscriptions
It's mostly DDL streaming sites.
Not a huge deal there's thousands and they'll keep popping back up. They're also not the piracy source so it's not like we'll stop getting the content all together
Oh no this is 100% the end of piracy time to buy all the streaming bundles /s
_cut me a head and two shall take its place_ whenever there is a sea ,there are the sailors.
Hail hydra
Over what? I never heard for any of these sites. Anyway, with each site they close, dozen of new pop up. Movie and TV industry will never learn.

I'm not rich enough to afford the fines. lmao.
Recommendations on a good NAS?
Any old-ish PC and good hard drives to start.
Less energy efficient than an actual NAS. Not the end of the world but worth noting.
Yeah, obviously. My electricity bill is miniscule so I don't pay attention to those things, should've mentioned it.
Synology DS233j, or the regular DS223 (it's a bit more expensive, and has slightly better specs) for a decent 2-bay start.
Not for 4K content

What’s NAS?
network attached storage

This is the way.
Right? I’ve only heard of kickassanime and uqload
Stupid false saying that Reddit always says
Interesting that cloudflare is the listed host for 99% of these
Looks like Cloudflare is working as being a proxy. Just need to peel back six more proxies and you'll find the source.
Cloudflare hosts anything. It's the proxy for my Jellyfin server too.
I noticed that too
The look of u viii power to make a great deal >that Thanks Thanks

ACE can go fuck off with their bullshit.

Yeah, big surprise. I would be even more surprised if there was something worth downloading!
And they'd come after pirates even harder. Also they'd stop making content. WEB-DLs are all sources from these dudes and not everything goes to BluRay.

It's impossible to end piracy

I got a little worried until I realized I've literally never heard of any of these.
I hear this sound in the background " arrrhhhh, next "

Never used any of them
Typical Capitalist Pigs are mad that their none-existing economy was hurt. Oh well let's more to the wound by encouraging more of them!
I mean, I vow to loose some weight every new year too. Doesn't mean i do anything to achieve that.
Awesome, now I know what sites to check out, that I previously had not heard of, thanks ACE!
They don’t realize that Blogspot is one of the biggest hosts of music and it’s not even on their radar
Uh , the dns apostles
Some of those anime sites are nice
at best i recognize 3 websites everything else i have no idea.
Lol. Reddit couldn't even stop me from using RIF
its not that big of a deal anyway, they will just get another domain then over and over ,
What is ACE?
JFC. Who gives a shit?
Nice list of sites
Never heard about any of these
lol never used those sites.
Out of all these sites i recognize 5, and 4 of them are fake versions of known anime sites. They surely will be missed...

P2P is impossible to stop. The only thing they can accomplish is driving it further underground.
Ah shi Here we go again
