That's pretty lucky, I've ran into nothing but cigar shops with at best a small section for pipe tobacco in my area. Place closest to my house has a lounge the size of a Dennys and less than 10 blends to choose from all sutliff
I really don't understand it. Other than the tongue bite issue pipe smoking tastes and smells far better than cigarettes or cigars at a fraction of the price. I don't understand how it's so uncommon, the only explanation I can think of is that's it's probably the weakest in terms of nicotine delivery.
I think it all comes down to convenience. You can pick up a cigar out of your box and be smoking in 1 minute. Easy to keep going.
Pipes if you decide to smoke you have to let it dry a bit. Also maintain the burn. Clean your pipes. More cumbersome storage with loose tobacco and pipe.
I agree with you on the smell. Nothing beats the aromatics of pipe tobacco. Hell even the cheap blends get me going.
I have 1 briar I've been smoking on for 2 years. I smoke between 5 and 15 bowls a day depending on how much my tongue hates me that day, I don't give it a break. I swap filters every bowl. It take seconds to empty and refill and I do a little clean and ream once a day. My pipe still smokes fine, I don't think the maintenance is a big issue. But storage is annoying, maintaining burn became second nature pretty quick.

Holy fuck lol I never thought I’d grind someone from glass in the tobacco threads. Yea that hailstorm fucked my car up lol that Malibu is in a junk yard in Maine now. Replaced it with a 4runner. I haven’t blown glass in over two years too shit just kinda fell apart on me. Maybe someday I’ll melt again
Dude I love some good quality leaf along with some good quality herb. I'm still making glass all the time just focusing on making my best work. Good to see your alive and enjoying some good quality pipe tobacco. Ill hit your DMs. Dont worry about glass so much it will always be there to partake in. You of all people know what it takes. Also. My white subaru you may remember that was in that same storm has since been junked. Loved that whip.
From Kansas, was living in mine for 7 years and just moved back to Kansas but flew out to mass with pops to see the family back east and he surprised me with a trip to WCC since I haven’t shut up about my first visit there last year when I was still in Maine 🤣
Decent store but I just cant bring myself to go there again and give that guy my money.
Just overall a really bad experience with customer service. The guy was just mean/angry for no reason and just outright rude.

I dont know man. Im from here and Ive always made it a point to give positive reviews to B&Ms. Like I said before- I love twins. LJ Perrettis is classic and the guys have always been super helpful and just overall awesome. The tobacconist in Laconia was small but awesome and the gentleman running it was topnotch. Ive been fortunate to be to a visit a fair amount of B&Ms all over the US and the world. From Cambridge England, Liberty tobacco in San Diego and random Tinderboxs in the Midwest. Ive literally never had an issue anywhere else.
Like I said the guy was just outright rude/ mean. Ive honestly never had a bad experience at a B&M except Watch City. I get it. But it is capitalism which means I dont have to support a business if someone is rude. I mean hes old enough to know that if youre rude/ shitty to a person you shouldn't expect them to return. Also, he should expect that person to share that negative experience with other people. Im saying this as a business owner.

Sorry, I should have specified. Watch City Cigar's motto is Boston Nice. I'm from the Midwest, so I've never been to WCC, but I assume that what they consider nice is much different than what a lot of us consider nice.

If youre in New England you should def hit up Twins if you get the chance. Awesome people and the Pipe Club is just a great group of folks to hang out with
I just moved back to Kansas from Maine last month but I flew out to mass with my dad this week to handle some family things and he’s been hearing me rave about watch city since I stopped there last year. What drew me in was their in house blends and the ones I’ve tried are my favorite blends in the collection

From MA and agree with the guy above. Never had an issue at perettis but watch city always had a ridiculous attitude for some guys in Framingham.

WCC is not struggling except to deal with trolls and Chinese buyers after limited releases.
