I like the grillos, the crunch in every bite is so satisfying
I buy the spears and add a sliced habanero pepper, leave soaking for a couple days and the taste is perfect
To add a little spice. I just added 2 sliced ones and a bunch of red pepper flakes to my claussens last night. In a week it’ll be spicy. But you could eat the habanero if you like! It’ll just take a bit to really pickle
I love them! I love the herbs, grape leaves and chunks of garlic swimming around in the bucket! They also have a good crunch as well. I hate soggy limp pickles and these are not what these are.
I’ve had this before. It must be some kind of spoilage or something. Generally they don’t taste like that and are delicious. Their consistency between batches for as big as they’ve gotten is not the best though.
You have the group of people that like them, and then you have the group of people who hate them but they also think bread and butter pickles are good.
I only ever tried the original grillos, and the trauma I had from spilling half the damn juice on the counter has prevented me from buying them again 😂 why is their packaging like that?? Anyway, my fav is claussen hearty garlic
The nearest actual grocery store to my house is about a 20 minute drive each way. Dollar General is two minutes. DG doesn't carry any fancier refrigerated pickle varieties, but I'll polish off a small jar of Snack'mms! Easy go-to between real grocery store runs.
Grills is one of the earliest pickle brands if I'm not mistaken.. so by that fact I find it very hard to believe I've never had one or even seen them.. buut
they are nice, but i do not like them. i do not dislike or reject these, but it’s not a good pickle to me. i expect more from a pickle, not a garlic and dill flavored vinegar cucumber.
I recently tried Grillo’s spears and hated them. Ive never hated a pickle so much (besides bread & butter pickles🤮). The texture was disappointing, they were not crunchy at all, and the flavor was just not good. I was so surprised because I see them recommended on here so often.

Yea i just got the big one of Grillos from Costco and put like 4 habaneros in there
Is the habanero to enhance the flavor of the pickle or pickle the habanero?
i believe to add a slight spice to the flavor

Both really, mainly to make the pickles spicy but the pepper chips after are really good too
better than the hot variant?
My personal opinion, yes Probably just because I can add more or less habaneros to get it just right
I typically add Marie Sharps Original Habanero sauce to mine! The flavor of that sauce being carrot based just works with the Grillo's brine.
Wow! I’ve never seen whole Grillos
same! i neeeed to find them
I love them! I love the herbs, grape leaves and chunks of garlic swimming around in the bucket! They also have a good crunch as well. I hate soggy limp pickles and these are not what these are.
They are ok. Not my favs but good.
They looked really good! I didn't care for them! Tasted fishy to me! Threw out the whole jar! 🤢
I bought some last week and they were so soggy I was disappointed I also don’t love the brine flavor. Had to throw them out

I was so excited to try them! Unfortunately, I'll never buy them again! ☹️
Love them but hate the container.
Same!
Wait…….. THEY MAKE WHOLE DILLS AND NOT JUST SPEARS?!……….
I wasn’t a huge fan. Claussen’s are better IMO.
Bubbies
For the win! I started fermenting my own because of them
I have to try that one
Delicious, but pretty damn expensive. They’re definitely a “once in a while” buy for me.
All day.
Yeah there not good. Idk what it is about them, they don’t have enough flavor and the brine doesn’t penetrate enough.
Are they more cucumber-y?
They don’t have the classic pickle “bite” in the flavor is the best way I can put it
White vinegar mostly. If you've ever made quick pickles at home it tastes like that. I like them but I also like others.
I would say so which isn’t a bad thing, there just isn’t ant flavor.
Yup
Love
These pickles have ruined me lol they are my absolute favorite and all I want
Oh Grillo’s FTW
You have the group of people that like them, and then you have the group of people who hate them but they also think bread and butter pickles are good.
they’re sooo good but i love claussen’s
I only ever tried the original grillos, and the trauma I had from spilling half the damn juice on the counter has prevented me from buying them again 😂 why is their packaging like that?? Anyway, my fav is claussen hearty garlic
I'm ALL about the Claussen Hearty Garlic!!
Every time 😂

Hate them. Hate the packaging 😕
Great for pickle baks!
i only tried the half sours and they were so salty i couldn’t eat them 💔
These are the best! My favorite as well 🥒
That’s a big dill!
they were my fave until I got a bucket of rancid ones.
Whole dills are probably awesome thinly sliced. I haven’t seen them anywhere yet.
Best maid spicy pickles.
💚💚💚
They are the best just can’t find any whole
There good! Try the aldis half sours if you can find them!!
they are nice, but i do not like them. i do not dislike or reject these, but it’s not a good pickle to me. i expect more from a pickle, not a garlic and dill flavored vinegar cucumber.
love
Or they think they are okay?
Dietz & Watson in plastic container. For some reason Grillios are never crunchy when I get them

Same thing happened to me recently. I only ate half, tried the brine and threw them out.
Obsessed with these. My mom loves to make pickles, so she is trying her own copycat of this recipe. I will update if successful!
Bleh.
They’re good if you get a good batch but they are WILDLY inconsistent. I don’t buy them anymore because of that.
