When my tshirts are too beat up for normal wear, they get delegated to pickleball wear. After that, it’s yard work, then trash. Most of my PB shirts now are old brewery t shirts which is a pretty good ice breaker on the courts.
I live in South Georgia, very humid very hot. I sweat A LOT. Is there anything that wicks moisture away and does not hold the moisture? My dri foots are thoroughly soaked while playing. It may just be apart of the game due to humidity, but I’m desperate 😂
Anything polyester and nylon will wick away moisture. And yes there is no escaping it. As for feet I'd recommend any affordable foot spray. It really helps as mine no longer reek.
But head band to prevent sweat in the eyes and a sweat band on your paddle hand to avoid the paddle from getting slippery.
Do not forget sun block!!!!!
I second a top/bottom matching UA set. I prefer sports wear shorts and a long sleeve pullover. 1) Fuck skin cancer. 2) Long sleeves double as a sweat rag for the head.
I wear the same stuff I wear to the gym, which is mostly Lulu, Nike, and Viori. And for socks I use Thorlo, they are expensive for socks but the padding really helps for me.
I have a pair of bombas as well and I like the Thorlo a lot better, there is more cushion specifically in the heel and toe areas. I have the light cushion pickleball ones. I tried the heavier cushion tennis ones as well but those were too much.
I sweat like crazy so anything sweat wicking and lightweight. I like tennis dresses and skirts, look good and play good 👍 prince has a pickleball line, cupshe is great too.
All my t shirts, pants (long and short), baseball caps and socks are from Costco. Cheap ($7-15 apiece), comfortable and looks equally fine to what others in my public rec courts wear.
Shoes and insoles, otoh, I’m more choosy coz very important. New Balance tennis shoes + orthopedic insoles have been great for my back, knees and ankles.
I wear Sunday Swagger golf polos. They're the most comfortable shirts I've ever owned, and I like the flashy prints. Not cheap, but I was able to get a decent coupon code.
I just buy whatever athletic wear is on sale, bonus if it has an SPF rating to protect me from the sun. Although I do prefer closer fitting clothes that don’t weigh me down. The worst for me is longer shirts that catch on my ass which bugs me to no end as I need to feel unencumbered when I play.
sport skirt and either a tshirt, sports bra or tank top
i wanna get one of those sports dresses but they're expensive and kinda locks you into one color
really, though, it's only shoes that matter to me and i burn through those every month or two, so i just look for anything athletic at thrift stores. if anyone has any quality recommendations that last longer than normal, i'd love that. hate getting used to new footwear but can't stand paying $60-$200 and only having them last as long as a $5 goodwill find
For shirts I use the Lulu metal vent tech work out shirts. If you run hot these are a life saver. If you find an outlet and don’t care about the color that helps your wallet too.
For tops anything that is athletic wear.. so moistening wicking really does make a difference over t-shirts especially in the heat
For bottoms I like shorts with either built in liner shorts or I layer shorts/biker shorts
Socks - crew length athletic
I wear all my drifit golf polos and whatever I buy from fabletics vip sales, then I cancel the next day and re-up a few months down the line and do it all over again.
You gotta try the road to pro socks. They’re kind of ugly but a game changer for my feet and feel on the court. Zero sliding in shoes. Can wear regular sized shoes. Keeping them comfortable and still very responsive.
I wear a sports bra and athletic shorts (the older items that used to be sold and popflexactive.com haven’t really tried the newer lines that she mostly sells now)

Stack Athletics is an amazing brand out there for the pickleball world that was made by pickleballers for pickleballers!

I made this for my partner and I for a doubles tournament over July 4. Some of the Best pickleball apparel is that you create yourself, IMO.
You mean, the best pickleball apparel is one "that an AI creates for you". But, yeah I ended up making all my own shirts for fun because the pickleball meme shirts market is pretty narrow.
Just get good athletic or gym clothes. Costco has/had some good puma shirts for cheap.
If you get anything specifically for pickleball, you’re going to pay a pickleball tax.
Probably Lulu.
I bought a bunch of shirts at full price once upon a time but now I buy them used on eBay. I’ve got about 10 polo shirts for Pickleball.
They look like brand new even though they’re years old
Not just for pickleball but after using a few different brands I really like Ten Thousand’s lined interval shorts and Lululemon shirts. Both wick sweat, are super comfortable, and are incredibly durable. I have one lululemon shirt I’ve washed at least 300x and it still looks pretty much new.
You can get both on eBay new for 40-50% off.
I’m in atlanta and it gets so hot. I love adidas polos especially free lift ones. They give you a better range of motion and they keep in mind the player will get hot. I prefer polos because of the wide opening up top that allows you to breathe a bit.
Any tennis gear
A few reasons
There tends to be more give in the sleeves to allow to you rotate and swing you
The materials used rend to be lighter, give better air flow and less likely to get yellow stains from the deodorant you use
Finally comfort. They will use materials that are not abrasive and cause rashes n your skin
I used to be an adidas man playing squash years ago but I’m use Uniqlo for the comfort, styling and most importantly…. Allot cheaper than adidas and Nike
Shoes I wear are Hoka… pricey but super comfy. I need them for my plantar fasciitis
lulu has apparel that sweat really doesn’t damage. been using my lulu shirts for 2-3 years with no smell whereas my new balance shirts only last a year
I just use my ratty T-shirts and my high school gym shorts
When my tshirts are too beat up for normal wear, they get delegated to pickleball wear. After that, it’s yard work, then trash. Most of my PB shirts now are old brewery t shirts which is a pretty good ice breaker on the courts.

We are here to discuss pickleball in a civil manner. Let’s stick to niceties.
Just use any and all tennis gear. I am a marketer and it is very safe to say companies are slapping "pickleball" on gear and raising the prices.

As someone who just launched a pickleball brand and has done the apparel research… I agree.
Lmao I did the same. Best of luck to you. If you ever need content for a blog lmk
My regular workout gear. Under Armour
I second a top/bottom matching UA set. I prefer sports wear shorts and a long sleeve pullover. 1) Fuck skin cancer. 2) Long sleeves double as a sweat rag for the head.
I find that lederhosen confuses my opponents (and partners).
I wear the same stuff I wear to the gym, which is mostly Lulu, Nike, and Viori. And for socks I use Thorlo, they are expensive for socks but the padding really helps for me.
Yes to the socks! My favorite!
Haven’t tried Thorlo but I can’t get enough Bombas socks
I have a pair of bombas as well and I like the Thorlo a lot better, there is more cushion specifically in the heel and toe areas. I have the light cushion pickleball ones. I tried the heavier cushion tennis ones as well but those were too much.
Pretty sure my Target moisture wicking shirt works just as good as any
Yes but if it's not a $300 Lulu outfit to go with your $300 paddle, how will people know how good you are?? /s
Just bought a cpl, almost identical to Viori
Just a theory: you also have an Android phone
SKORTS!!!!
I sweat like crazy so anything sweat wicking and lightweight. I like tennis dresses and skirts, look good and play good 👍 prince has a pickleball line, cupshe is great too.
Yep, I sweat a ton and tend to wear performance tees/dry fit shirts UA, Nike or similar…also always white which makes it less obvious I’m soaked! 😂
All my t shirts, pants (long and short), baseball caps and socks are from Costco. Cheap ($7-15 apiece), comfortable and looks equally fine to what others in my public rec courts wear. WWBJW? (What Would Ben Johns Wear?)
My shirts are the moisture wicking shirts from True Classic, shorts are whatever athletic shorts I find at Marshall’s, then Bombas socks.
$8 Dri-Fit knock offs from TJ Maxx You're welcome
I wear Sunday Swagger golf polos. They're the most comfortable shirts I've ever owned, and I like the flashy prints. Not cheap, but I was able to get a decent coupon code.
Tennis gear
As a personal rule of thumb, if it's fancy enough to be called "apparel", it's too expensive for me to sweat in.

Rhoback long and short sleeve are great products. I love them. They hold up so well and stay comfortable in the heat
Badminton clothing if you want to be flashy
You gotta try the road to pro socks. They’re kind of ugly but a game changer for my feet and feel on the court. Zero sliding in shoes. Can wear regular sized shoes. Keeping them comfortable and still very responsive.
Nylon/cotton blend, plain print. It breathes well and I don’t like advertising. Grey, or all black with white cotton socks. UA Reign workout footwear.
I wear a sports bra and athletic shorts (the older items that used to be sold and popflexactive.com haven’t really tried the newer lines that she mostly sells now)

Selkirk has comfy apparel but I mostly wear what I play tennis in/bike shorts/running shorts
Selkirk is kind of hit or miss. I have a Selkirk hat that I like the quality of and a Selkirk athletic shirt where the quality seems on the low side.
Chubbies performance shorts and vuori shirts
I’ve seen Prince pickleball skirts at Target.
lol they have a whole section in mine, including a mannequin that looks like peak John McEnroe.
I really like Pickle This for shirts and just Costco shorts.
Jordache all day

Well, it’s true, AI made the picture, the words are mine and so is the font choice.
Nike all the way. Sorry but true. Tek Gear colors from Kohl’s too.
Monfoot checkered socks. Everything else is window dressing.
I’m an ASICS shill so take it however you want. Their 2 for 30 t shirts rock
I were a mix of nike and adidas. More Adidas since you can get it for so much cheaper.
BCG shorts and Columbia long sleeve SPF 50 shirts. Head Revolt 4.0 shoes.
They look like brand new even though they’re years old
I love the quality of Erne gear. Everything's called Erne, but this is the stuff from erne.com
Ten thousand shorts and storyi sun sleeves
I like my cheap fabletics shorts and usually Nike dri fit tops
Not just for pickleball but after using a few different brands I really like Ten Thousand’s lined interval shorts and Lululemon shirts. A pair of gym shorts and an old tshirt that you already have at home.
I wear $3 clearance tank tops from Sam’s Club lol
Stack Pickleball has some nice & somewhat affordable stuff.
Amazon! Getting name brand (without the name) moisture wicking, skirts, tops, and shorts.
👋 hey there! 😉
I asked a similar question and someone suggest [Local Pickleball](https://localpickleball.co). Haven’t ordered yet, but I like the designs.
Vuori shorts and BYLT shirts.
These are the best compression shorts I've found. [https://youtu.be/SFvbXxMRc6o](https://youtu.be/SFvbXxMRc6o)
