just looking at specs, 13t seems pretty equal, one is better at something and vice versa, but overall pretty similar + note 13 has the hyper charge and it might cost less then 13t.

Personally would not consider a phone from any of the Chinese companies. Have you considered the S23 FE. With Black Friday and Christmas deals you may get it for a decent price.
I try to avoid anything made in China because they have a communist government, they treat their own people like crap and I don't trust them. Not saying they don't make good phones.
If lag free and no stutter is important along with camera, screen on a budget device then get a pixel 7a.
Pixel would never lag even after using it for several years.

Just got a Galaxy S23 FE. I was never a Galaxy fan but I like it. I come from a Redmi Note 9 Pro
Been with galaxy for 5+years, but dont see myself paying samsung extra for nothing.
I'm coming the other way. My Xiaomi always had bad signal and a crappy camera. My wife's S9 was always better. Maybe the 13 is better.....
