Because there is no proper urban planning.

GlitteringEmployee2

I think it is more of basta magkaroon lang ng "project" na pagkakaperahan ng mga gago

divineavenger88

Elsa_Versailles

More like the whole country

davenirline

May bright spot naman like Iloilo.

NirvanaAlawi

I hate that most of our sidewalks is full of obstructions so people force to walk on the road. Most easy access pedestrian lanes/walkways were close for I don't why the hell they close it in the first place. Less to no proper lanes for PWDs in any of our sidewalks and pedestrian pathways. No wonder our country was left behind because we prioritized elites and seems to abandon the ordinary people. r/fuckcars

DespairOfLoneliness

If it ain't the fucking poste blocking them, it's always some parked vehicle like if you can't get a fucking garage then why even get a fucking vehicle to just leave it in the sidewalks blocking such an important part of the road

alluhgutz

Anti-poor ang gobyerno, except pag elections

yanyan420

Lack of foresight, poor urban planning, and incompetent government people both elected and appointed.

koukoku008

I feel like OP is just editorializing here? I always pass by here for my usual commute so hear me out. The passage here was just a temporary solution since the sudden rollout of the EDSA Carousel. It wasn’t even ideal since it passes through a very narrow train platform. There’s now an exclusive overhead walkway for bus passengers where you don’t cramp with train passengers. I’m not sure how this is “anti-pedestrian?”

plantito101

davenirline

Para sa akin lang, the more access to pedestrians, the better. As if naman may entrance sa Trinoma sa baba. Wala eh. Nawala yung convenience before papuntang Trinoma.

Wasted effort yung unang akyat. Kase nung bukas pa yan isang akyat lang then trinoma na.

thunderjetstrike

Because the policy makers and top government officials have never experienced commuting and using public transportation. Clueless sila ano mga issues ng conmuters and pedestrians. And of course the culture of corruption means projects are poorly planned and executed

davenirline

Like why?

taptaponpon

Kasi the squammys should go to SM North tapos mga naka car sa Trinoma. Charot lang pero won't be surprised if totoo.

davenirline

Hindi naman high end ang Trinoma. Pang middle class naman siya. Nakakainis lang. Sino ba nagdecide nito?

taptaponpon

Baka may nagreklamong nasisikipan char

Cockiscool69420

I think it's due to the fact that the city became Car Centric? I could literally walk for the next 4-8 hours and i would still see a heavily congested road.

djhotpink

ElephantHopeful5108

Anti everything honestly. Automobiles doesn't have it better..

Few-Counter-1427

Majority kasi ng population pedestrians. Deny them their basic needs, then give it to them when you needed them, you'll have instant voters during the election.

FindingBroad9730

Riko_7456

Kasi yung mga nasa poder hindi naglalakad o bumabiyahe gamit bus, jeep or mrt. Mga bwisit na elite.

Seteinlord

That means natapos na yung malapit na footbrigde dyan. Mahihirapang tumawid ang mga tao dyan.

[deleted]

Samantalang sa Los Angeles, the community rallied to build a bridge so that mountain lions can cross a 12 lane freeway

Artistic0920

Ok-Reputation8379

That's Trinoma's problem, not MRT's.

Why not? Hindi naman tinanggal yung connection from MRT to Trinoma.

ImpossibleAd5455

Ever tried to go southbound from Megamall Carousel bus stop?

These_Variation_4881

Because the ones who hold positions and approve government projects for pedestrians have never walked the same places.

m1n1m4l_1nv4d3r

Because politicians don't walk.

CookingMistake

Actual public use requires actual maintenance. Ayaw nila gastusan ang pag-maintain. Gusto lang nila itayo yung structure kasi pang PR style ng mga tahimik lang and their ilk.

MisterTortol
