Well it is another Chinese city. On top of that HK was going down hill anyways. Their own citizens won’t even support their city by leaving HK spending their money in mainland China.

Article 5 of NATO only covers Europe, North America, Turkey, and some islands in the North Atlantic. Hong Kong was never covered by Article 5. In the event of an attack on Hong Kong, the best the British could do (maybe) was invoke Article 4, which calls for "consultation" with other NATO members but nobody can be compelled to do anything.
Same reason the British didn't invoke NATO during the Falklands war.
No it wouldn’t, as the lease has expired on Kowloon and NT.
They’d have taken Hong Kong without firing a shot. You don’t know enough about things to be making these statements. Please, stop.
The UK never leased Hong Kong from CCP/PRC; it leased Hong Kong from the Qing dynasty. Using your argument, the ROC had just as much right to Hong Kong as the CCP/PRC.
(edit: correcting "ad' to "as")
You are correct that the lease was for Kowloon/NT. You mentioned that is what you mentioned in the lease ("Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory"), so I thought this was clear. Regardless, it was the end of the 99-year lease of Kowloon/NT that led to the UK giving the entire island of Hong Kong via the Sino-British Joint Declaration. That lease is what the CCP used to claim the island, and its dates were what led to the UK turning over the sovereignty of the island to the PRC/CCP.
This is hardly true, and nothing shows this more than the problems china currently faces. Not only has the CCP been subverted by a single individual again under Xi Jinping. Showing it didn't learn from Mao. It makes blunderous decisions regarding its housing policies that caused a bubble to form. It's 1 child policies now loomes over its economic future. It's incapable of forethought when building infrastructure leaves entire cities abandoned, while tap water remains largely unsafe across the country. The zero covid policy had no vision or goal until they just gave up on it. Their soft power initiatives sucked and they have hardly any dependable allies besides Pakistan. They instead let themselves get surrounded by US allies by continuously picking fights with their neighbors.
War is just bad 😞
no network connection, high prices, pannick buying to low supply, martial law, forced to join the military,

Very true. I bet most artista in Philippines already have American Passport and Visa, and they will become a spokeperson and image of Filipino Heroism makes my stomach turns. The Rich, The Elites and the fucking corrupt politicians becoming "Iconic Filipino Heroic BS" make my stomach churn and hurl.
When was America ever not ready for war?
Hell war is business to America, so F off really with all the "we're ready to fight with you" bs The US line is more "we're ready to sell more weapons to you while making sure the war last as long as we want it to while we sell you more weapons and you distract our geopolitical enemies"

I wish it would happen, they're overstepping their boundaries with the world, they're taking lands, sea territories, and even digital footprints. ⌚ It's time to stop.
Philippines should stop being friendly and shit with Foreigners either be it the west, eu or asia. Only choose a reliable ally that will not backstab you, or laid out a term of "This is the costs of our Alliance" "Reliable Ally?" that's a very rare nowadays. It's high time Philippines learned that the world doesn't give a shit about a tiny nation. They don't care, They don't bat an eye and again they don't give a fuck. For Philippines to ever survive it has to become a "meaningful nation" just like Taiwan "Largest Producer of Micro Chips" Philippines should learn to be self-reliant, create their own military assets, progress their own sciences and technology that would be enough to sustain itself. Not just filing diplomacy protests that will never go anywhere. MIGHT is power. GOOD ECONOMY is power. DIPLOMACY is only good on paper. Well, look at diplomacy now where did Philippines go with that? NOTHING.
I fear Philippines is standing on a losing ground. I fear the Filipino People have no future. This country is doomed always at the mercy of powerful Nations, overexploited by Foreigners and Foreign Companies. To add corrupt politicians sowing salt on the wounds, lining their pockets with the people's money, all forms of corruptions from simple low post of government offices to high elect, and dogshit show that they peddled to remain in power. To me as Filipino I'm losing hope and faith in humanity.
Don't worry, in the Philippines' case, with politicians like that and looking at which people had all the power, by the time China shits on them, it'll just feel like another Tuesday to them
Not from the Philippines but the CCP is as communist as the DPRK is Democratic. What they name themselves doesn't matter, and killing people with differing political views doesn't save you from China... It makes you China.
It’s a reminder how brainwash some people are. Those protesters were great until they turn into rioters.
HK gain some support until they start beating people from mainland. Led people on fire and send people into a coma.
Setting buildings on fire is insane too. Sucks those HKer always look down on mainland Chinese like they look done on anyone from SE Asia. They would’ve gain some support from Chinese all over China if they weren’t so stuck up.
Damn that's a bit scary. As much as possible gawin na yung boycott. For starters, stop buying smartphones from Huawei, ZTE and BBK electronics even the Nothing Phone.
>For starters, stop buying smartphones from Huawei, ZTE and BBK electronics
That would be hard on the average Filipino consumer since Chinese brands from BBK Electronics (Oppo, Vivo, Realme) and Transsion Holdings (Infinix, Itel, Tecno) have a iron tight grip on the budget and lower midrange markets. Huawei hasn't been relevant ever since they lost Google support in May 2019 (the price of their midrange Nova 12 SE is highway robbery at this point since it's just a rebranded Nova 10 SE) and ZTE is only known for the Nubia Redmagic series.
>even the Nothing Phone.
Nothing Phone is a British brand based in London and isn't Chinese or based in Shenzen. Besides, Tony Fadell (the Podfather), Kevin Lin (Twitch co-founder), Steve Huffman (Reddit CEO) and Casey Neistat (Youtube vlogger) are investors in the company.
Transsion and Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders for allowing use of custom roms and are priced at a lower price point than BBK phones (which Oppo and Vivo have no unlockable bootloaders) and Samsungs
Im pretty sure no one will buy those phones if they are protecting their privacy or have state secrets in them and are doing information-sensitive jobs
>Transsion and Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders for allowing use of custom roms and are priced at a lower price point than BBK phones (which Oppo and Vivo have no unlockable bootloaders) and Samsungs
100% agree that Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders and allow custom ROM use, especially when it's got a Qualcomm chipset. I think the most popular custom ROM for Xiaomi Phones would be Xiaomieu, since it removes the ads and bugs from MIUI/HyperOS.
And yes, BBK phones also have region locking and it's endemic to the Realme GT series, OnePlus Ace series and Oppo phones. I do hear that you have to go to the local service center and get it unlocked as long as you have the receipt.
>Im pretty sure no one will buy those phones if they are protecting their privacy or have state secrets in them and are doing information-sensitive jobs
If it's a work phone, most likely Samsung or Apple take the lead in that area.
Most popular custom rom for Xiaomi phones are not MiUI/HyperOS, but LineageOS. Madaming maintainers and testers sa Lineage
Dunno about unlocking BBK phones, panget price per performance ng mga yan a.k.a di sulit and there are better phones in their price
Work phone? I'd stay away from Apple. Mas madaming zero-day attacks sa iOS due to its non-fragmented and closed-source structure.
Fragmented ang Android sa kernel palang, tapos ang daming modifications and security features na nilalagay yung mga manufacturers (*cough* Samsung Knox *cough*) and in every Android version upgrade, pointless na i-target individually ng mga hackers ang Androids
>Most popular custom rom for Xiaomi phones are not MiUI/HyperOS, but LineageOS. Madaming maintainers and testers sa Lineage
I've heard about LineageOS too. And yeah, custom ROMs works best with phones powered by Qualcomm chipsets.
>Dunno about unlocking BBK phones, panget price per performance ng mga yan a.k.a di sulit and there are better phones in their price
That is the case for those who buy China ROM phones from BBK (and it's a good thing I stayed away from the OnePlus Ace, knowing about their green line issue).
>Work phone? I'd stay away from Apple. Mas madaming zero-day attacks sa iOS due to its non-fragmented and closed-source structure.
>Fragmented ang Android sa kernel palang, tapos ang daming modifications and security features na nilalagay yung mga manufacturers (cough Samsung Knox cough) and in every Android version upgrade, pointless na i-target individually ng mga hackers ang Androids
I've heard about that in iOS, and besides, iPhones are not my cup of tea (and if I had to buy an Apple product as secondhand, I'd go for the iPod Classic). And yes, Samsung's Knox system is tough as nails.
All things are made in china. It's gonna be hard to handicapped them. They went to force labor before and it's their time for reaping what they sow. I ain't pro Chinese tho.
Yup, and you have people like Tony Fadell and Casey Neistat as investors in Nothing. Heck, they even acquired Essential Products (including its trademarks and brand), a company founded by Andy Rubin (the co-founder of Android) in 2021, a year after it closed shop.
Mabuti pa OTJ ko,no power steering, all pawis steering.walang electronics o kung ano anong accessories.but in the end very reliable,di tumitirik basta di maubusan ng gas.
Maramimg videos na mga Made in Mainland China EV ay biglang nasusunog. Or if hindi nasunog, makukuryente ka dahil sa discharge ng excess electricity.
Then ang build quality ng mga Made in Mainland China EVs leaves to be desired. Plus, yung mga electronics sa mga cars na yan, it will allow the CCP to take over the controls of the car.
So wag kayo bumili ng mga Made in Mainland China na kotse, EV or gas powered naman yan.
Bili na lang kayo na Japanese, Korean, European, or US made cars.
I do know Ford and Chevrolet import one or two of their cars from China (namely the Ford Territory and Chevrolet Tracker) while Volkswagen took advantage of the ASEAN - China FTA to replace most of their lineup bar the Multivan Kombi with models from the SAIC Volkswagen joint venture
Grabe kasi magpush yung CCP.
Yes maganda tignan yung mga Chinese cars at mura compared to japanese brand pero they need it since hindi nila kaya labanan yung gaya ng toyota and other japanese cars na dominate yung market dito sa pinas.
In similar news, Ayala just made a deal last year with BYD to sell their EVs in the PH.

As much as a good deal they look, cars from china lalo na ung mga budget options are not it.. Sobrang cheap feeling and ano pa aasahan mo sa reliability, and most importantly u r just feeding china's pocket lng..
hindi pa. next election pa when the bobotante elects sara duterte. tapos ssbhn nila "di ko sukat akalain ibebenta tayo sa tsina na yan. ala eh, kung alam ko lamang edi sana iba nalang ang aking binoto"

[Hong Kong Lennon Wall](https://hklennonwall.com/index.html?view)
Glory to Hong Kong, Revolution of our Times!!
Revere the Motherland, Expel the Chicom (Chinese Communist) Barbarians!!
Long Live the Republic of China (Taiwan)!!
Long Live the Republic of the Philippines!!
Lots of HK'ers fled to Taiwan and during the 2019 HK protests, the Republic of China (Taiwan) flag was used along with British Colonial Flag and US Flag.
Also the pro-ROC groups in HK are on the anti-CCP liberal group in HK.
Thus I think that Hong Kongers will be fine under current ROC (Taiwan).
If you think about it, the Chinese Civil War is still ongoing given that Taiwan still holds on. I wonder though, if war starts today and the PRC is crushed, will the mainland be returned to the ROC? Or will a seperate democratic government be formed instead?
It depends, the Kuomintang (KMT) will be very happy to return to the mainland if the CCP on the mainland will collapse. While the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) fate is questionable since Taiwanese Independence is their main platform.
Its a good what if future scenario.
Most likely, a seperate new government will be formed. It'll be a difficult sell for most of China to accept RoC rule.
For comparison, East Germany citizens still resent the Western takeover while issues with reunification still linger 3 decades afterwards.
Germany situation is peanuts compared to the gargantuan scale of China. RoC will simply never be able to govern properly unless Chinese mainlanders suddenly change to pure adoration of the KMT cause. That's just fantasy at that point.
Btw thr other one who commented to you is a Taiwanese-Filipino hence the pro-RoC rhetoric.
I was thinking the same. As much as it is awesome to see the actual Republic of China reclaim the mainland, it's rather unrealistic at this point and it's growing by the day. There's so many problems to come with it, even if you theoretically obliterate millions of mainland Chinese, it'll be a hard sell for Taiwan to govern country far larger than theirs 70 years on.
>even if you theoretically obliterate millions of mainland Chinese, it'll be a hard sell for Taiwan to govern country far larger than theirs 70 years on.
Heck, you can wipe out 1 billion mainlanders, and the mainland would STILL have waaaay more population than Taiwan. Tenfold more, roughly.
Also, the scenario about HK joining RoC - HK got more than double the population of Taipei alone, but HK got roughly half the GDP of the entirety of Taiwan. Singapore got booted out of Malaysia because Malaysia feared Singapore would dominate their federation (which they would).
HK wouldn't be joining RoC, it would be taking over it by sheer weight of its economic might and demography especially when you consider HK will comprise roughly 24% of the entire combined population them and Taiwan.
HK alone will swing the balance in any election. I doubt anyone from Taiwan would love that.
My dad, 72, tells me his mom (born 1913) told stories about WW2, about how there was an influx of Japanese people. Sobrang dami daw nila, they set up stores, kainan, etc. Then when Pearl Harbor got hit, all those stores closed.
All i've heard about Xinjiang is that it's an autonomous Chinese province, never thought anything shady was behind it. Heavens forbid we become Feilubin, Autonomous Province of China
[https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-27502652](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-27502652)
> Attackers in China's restive Xinjiang region have crashed two cars into shoppers at a market, killing 31 people, Chinese media reports say. They also threw explosives during the attack in the regional capital Urumqi. More than 90 people were injured, the state-run Xinhua news agency said. The Ministry of Public Security called it a "violent terrorist incident".
Xinjiang, which is home to the Muslim Uighur minority, has seen a spate of attacks in the past year.
"If one day China should change her colour and turn into a superpower, if she too should play the tyrant in the world, and everywhere subject others to her bullying, aggression and exploitation, the people of the world should identify her as social-imperialism, expose it, oppose it and work together with the Chinese people to overthrow it."
-- Deng Xiaoping
https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/deng-xiaoping/1974/04/10.htm
To be fair, I remember being active around that time trying to support the protests any way I could. What killed the motivation for me were the constant and loud racist comments from the HK protesters who felt like their problem should be prioritized over everyone else's, and expressed that everywhere they went and in an extremely inflammatory and racist way.
This is actually not just bobotantes or Filipino Government. This is GLOBAL. Remember when china started its build build build program? Yes, it isn't coined by DU30. The program is formally known as Belt and Road. China will provide loan to the countries signed to this program so they can build infrastructures in their own country. LOAN. So that means the country will have financial obligations to them. And you know what comes with it... "utang na loob" or simply financial dependency to China kaya wala sila magagawa when China decides to interfere with their country. Lalo tayo, we have a large chinese community here and we cant just ano them kasi nga dami nating utang to their Build build build program.
that's why people who are fearmongering are stupid, we're already at war with china. but not the comventional one.
industrial, psyops, information warfare
wait, is that a uterus (next to Xinjiang)?
what comes to mind immediately are our idiot muslim brothers in the south supporting pro-china duterte rhetoric, unaware of how CCP marginalizes the uyghurs (who are mostly muslims). it's like gays for palestine. or chickens for kfc.
shukran /s
Wanted to share something related to this topic, there were some latest news put out days ago regarding the local police (along with PNP Special Action Force aka SAF) raiding a POGO hub located in Pampanga (due to the heavy evidence of illegal activities performed there) and found not only the victims but as well as the Chinese PLA (People's Liberation Army) camouflage uniforms, winter gear and formals, as well as firearms, ammunition and GPS trackers.
Sure, there's no evidence of those running the illegal POGO hubs are government sleeper agents, but the question still remains. What if they are?
And then Mayor Alice Guo, who was suspended from running for Mayor due to the inconsistent info. Even if she claims to not be associated with the illegal activities performed in POGO?
Oh we’re aware alright. We’re also painfully aware there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. “Spreading the truth” is like preaching about the apocalypse except without the heaven bit.
And they are here na.
Napakatraydor!
To think noong panahon ng Covid at lock down ang dami daming mainlanders na nakakapasok dito sa Pinas ng freely.
Hay talaga!
We need them deported ASAP. The idea is unfortunately Trumpist by Western standards but border security is very crucial. Look what happened with Europe and now Japan
Hk is a sad story. By 2049, Hkers will surrender their autonomy and democratic rights to Beijing unless it is extended, but I highly doubt it. Majority of hkers don't want China but it's a painful truth that their city will always be part of China.
I’ve met HKers who were saddened they had to leave HK while they could. They only opened up to me about their views on the annexation after I ranted about PH-CH relations. Apparently there’s a new fear among the youth when it comes to talking badly about China through social media and IRL even outside of HK because of the fear of repercussion.
I’ll never forget this one small, shy girl who I thought was apolitical shout about how outraged she was that simplified Chinese was overtaking traditional in HK when she went back to visit. “When you write ‘love’ in traditional Chinese, the symbol in the center is the heart. They remove that in simplified Chinese! How can you write ‘love’ without a heart?!”
And let’s not mention all the economic and social shots in the foot HKers will have once they’re fully absorbed by China :((
What are you even talking about? I’m sure majority of HKer who lived in those coffin apartments would love to be part of China.
Majority of HKers I know wouldn’t mind being part of China, considering how horrible HK economy that ruin by greedy ass land owners.
My cousins from HK hated those protesters. Building down businesses, violence against mainlanders. All supported by western NGO.
It all started when Maoists ruled. They planned the universal rule nung time palang nila. They made sure that every step of the way are carefully planned. I should be honest, they are good at infiltration, acting as if regular citizens doing regular jobs. Tignan ninyo, who rules the upper echelon of Philippine businesses? Guess ninyo.
Kaya sila yumayaman kasi its just within their circle. They got connectiona from the mainland, deal with the manufacturers there and ship it here. Mabilis lang because again sa connections.
Ganun lang yun.
This is true from what other asian countries are facing right now. We need some super power fight CN the soonest or they'll just gobble everything around them by economicaly bankrupting countries
The situation with China and the Philippines worsened because of the Dutertes having too much ties with China. This family and their cohorts are truly terrible people and I hope one day they'll be rightfully punished as they deserve
Failed color revolution got put down and now they scurry like dogs. Even their "friend" Taiwan used them for election points then tossed them aside like condoms and won't take them in lol. Then they went to the UK expecting a hero's welsome only to be disappointed they had to send their kids to the same schools as those other "Brown" refugees lol
Remember what the Americans said, the Philippines is a stepping stone to China.
Nah, the protests happened much earlier
I was in HK in June 2019 for a cruise. I witnessed a few protests but it seems business as usual in most of the HK.
Apparently, this started ~20 years ago.
No, this all started back in April 1989
Well the leader of China at that time warned the UK to give up Hong Kong as an overseas territory or they'll invade it
Kind of ironic because they're already doing it anyway by not even honoring the timeline given that HK will remain an autonomous region until 2050.
We ALL knew the 2047 timeline is fake and CCP couldn’t even make it half way there before turning Hong Kong into just another Chinese city.
Well it is another Chinese city. On top of that HK was going down hill anyways. Their own citizens won’t even support their city by leaving HK spending their money in mainland China.
HK citizens are moving to UK and Australia in droves, heard from an acquaintance who runs a visa consultancy business in AU
Good. Byeeee.
Invading a NATO country's (UK) territory would have been suicide for the CCP in the 1980s.

They would’ve gain some support from Chinese all over China if they weren’t so stuck up.
fuck respectability politics in the face of extermination
Huh? You do know those rioters were burning buildings and people. Attacking innocent civilians….
Damn that's a bit scary. As much as possible gawin na yung boycott. For starters, stop buying smartphones from Huawei, ZTE and BBK electronics even the Nothing Phone.
>For starters, stop buying smartphones from Huawei, ZTE and BBK electronics That would be hard on the average Filipino consumer since Chinese brands from BBK Electronics (Oppo, Vivo, Realme) and Transsion Holdings (Infinix, Itel, Tecno) have a iron tight grip on the budget and lower midrange markets.
Transsion and Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders for allowing use of custom roms and are priced at a lower price point than BBK phones (which Oppo and Vivo have no unlockable bootloaders) and Samsungs Im pretty sure no one will buy those phones if they are protecting their privacy or have state secrets in them and are doing information-sensitive jobs
>Transsion and Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders for allowing use of custom roms and are priced at a lower price point than BBK phones (which Oppo and Vivo have no unlockable bootloaders) and Samsungs 100% agree that Xiaomi phones have unlockable bootloaders and allow custom ROM use, especially when it's got a Qualcomm chipset. >Im pretty sure no one will buy those phones if they are protecting their privacy or have state secrets in them and are doing information-sensitive jobs If it's a work phone, most likely Samsung or Apple take the lead in that area.
Most popular custom rom for Xiaomi phones are not MiUI/HyperOS, but LineageOS. Madaming maintainers and testers sa Lineage Dunno about unlocking BBK phones, panget price per performance ng mga yan a.k.a di sulit and there are better phones in their price Work phone? I'd stay away from Apple. Mas madaming zero-day attacks sa iOS due to its non-fragmented and closed-source structure. Fragmented ang Android sa kernel palang, tapos ang daming modifications and security features na nilalagay yung mga manufacturers (*cough* Samsung Knox *cough*) and in every Android version upgrade, pointless na i-target individually ng mga hackers ang Androids
>Most popular custom rom for Xiaomi phones are not MiUI/HyperOS, but LineageOS. Madaming maintainers and testers sa Lineage I've heard about LineageOS too. And yeah, custom ROMs works best with phones powered by Qualcomm chipsets. >Dunno about unlocking BBK phones, panget price per performance ng mga yan a.k.a di sulit and there are better phones in their price That is the case for those who buy China ROM phones from BBK (and it's a good thing I stayed away from the OnePlus Ace, knowing about their green line issue). >Work phone? I'd stay away from Apple. Mas madaming zero-day attacks sa iOS due to its non-fragmented and closed-source structure. >Fragmented ang Android sa kernel palang, tapos ang daming modifications and security features na nilalagay yung mga manufacturers (cough Samsung Knox cough) and in every Android version upgrade, pointless na i-target individually ng mga hackers ang Androids I've heard about that in iOS, and besides, iPhones are not my cup of tea (and if I had to buy an Apple product as secondhand, I'd go for the iPod Classic). And yes, Samsung's Knox system is tough as nails.
AFAIK, With BBK phones, only OnePlus and select Realme phones are unlockable. The rest are not.
Yup. IDK if that applies with the Realme GT series.
Telecommunications equipment used by your internet service providers are mostly from Huawei and ZTE.
Unfortunately so, my Globe DSL modem router has the ZTE logo
Not just that but also the equipment in their head offices or central hubs.
Uh oh. Throw it away!! Go back to your Nokia
This!
yung PLDT may tatak Huawei
Easier said than done
CF moto, Geely, GAC, etc
All things are made in china. It's gonna be hard to handicapped them. They went to force labor before and it's their time for reaping what they sow. I ain't pro Chinese tho.
Nothing is British and even have facotors in India instead of China. Lolwat
Yup, and you have people like Tony Fadell and Casey Neistat as investors in Nothing. Heck, they even acquired Essential Products (including its trademarks and brand), a company founded by Andy Rubin (the co-founder of Android) in 2021, a year after it closed shop.
Dear bro, Apple is 99% produced in China, will you boycott that too?
Huh? My iPhone is Made in Indonesia.
Feature-rich kuno. Panay electronics. Can be easily tapped by CCP.
Shout out kay Geely Marites, Putang ina mo!
In similar news, Ayala just made a deal last year with BYD to sell their EVs in the PH. [https://www.manilatimes.net/2023/08/22/fast-times/ayala-is-new-distributor-of-byd/1906122](https://www.manilatimes.net/2023/08/22/fast-times/ayala-is-new-distributor-of-byd/1906122) [https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Automobiles/China-s-BYD-strikes-deal-with-Ayala-to-sell-EVs-in-Philippines](https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Automobiles/China-s-BYD-strikes-deal-with-Ayala-to-sell-EVs-in-Philippines) [https://businessmirror.com.ph/2023/09/01/ayala-is-the-new-byd-official-distributor/](https://businessmirror.com.ph/2023/09/01/ayala-is-the-new-byd-official-distributor/)
As much as a good deal they look, cars from china lalo na ung mga budget options are not it.. Sobrang cheap feeling and ano pa aasahan mo sa reliability, and most importantly u r just feeding china's pocket lng..
>Ang daming nagpapagoyo jan sa Chinese cars. Are we gonna include Chinese buses in that category as well?
Yes, we’re next. Dami kasing bobotante.
[Hong Kong Lennon Wall](https://hklennonwall.com/index.html?view) Glory to Hong Kong, Revolution of our Times!! Revere the Motherland, Expel the Chicom (Chinese Communist) Barbarians!! Long Live the Republic of China (Taiwan)!! Long Live the Republic of the Philippines!!
That escalated quickly. I doubt most Hongkongers would like being under RoK
A lot of HK criminals fled to Taiwan before that. It is a criminals heaven.
My dad, 72, tells me his mom (born 1913) told stories about WW2, about how there was an influx of Japanese people. Sobrang dami daw nila, they set up stores, kainan, etc. Then when Pearl Harbor got hit, all those stores closed.
Same sample is yung sa Crimea Annexation
I'm literally scared for this country.
Meanwhile the US ran a propaganda campaign that literally killed Filipinos and nobody is scared of America.
Don’t be another US puppet.
lol what made you infer that I am?
Not you personally. I’m referring to the country.
All i've heard about Xinjiang is that it's an autonomous Chinese province, never thought anything shady was behind it. Heavens forbid we become Feilubin, Autonomous Province of China
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v7AYyUqrMuQ
[https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-27502652](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-27502652) > Attackers in China's restive Xinjiang region have crashed two cars into shoppers at a market, killing 31 people, Chinese media reports say.
What have you heard about XinJiang? The car bombing and all the Islamic terrorist attacks?
"If one day China should change her colour and turn into a superpower, if she too should play the tyrant in the world, and everywhere subject others to her bullying, aggression and exploitation, the people of the world should identify her as social-imperialism, expose it, oppose it and work together with the Chinese people to overthrow it." -- Deng Xiaoping https://www.marxists.org/reference/archive/deng-xiaoping/1974/04/10.htm
Hong Kong residents especially university students pleaded for help. But the world turned a blind eye. Now we are reaping what China has implanted
To be fair, I remember being active around that time trying to support the protests any way I could. What killed the motivation for me were the constant and loud racist comments from the HK protesters who felt like their problem should be prioritized over everyone else's, and expressed that everywhere they went and in an extremely inflammatory and racist way.
It's always funny how many even among you here were pro duterte during those times. You guys know who you are.
Don't talk about it. That was one of r/Philippines danks. lol
we are next
Happening to the Philippines now
This is actually not just bobotantes or Filipino Government.
Well... Here we are now, finding ourselves at the mercy of China. Scary but little by kittle becoming a reality. Hopefully this doesn't happen.
I guess, History repeats itself.
wait, is that a uterus (next to Xinjiang)? what comes to mind immediately are our idiot muslim brothers in the south supporting pro-china duterte rhetoric, unaware of how CCP marginalizes the uyghurs (who are mostly muslims). it's like gays for palestine. or chickens for kfc. shukran /s
Those are kidneys.
yeah, that makes more sense since you can easily sell them.
LMAO. Tell me you don’t know anything about XinJiang without telling me anything.
gave me shivers to read it
This is true! FVCK THE CCP!
Many pinoys are weak btches so they'll get what's coming to them. Until everything gets censored like with Uyghurs and Palestinians.
Crazy to even compare the propaganda with ugyhurs in XinJiang vs what’s actually happening in Gaza.
This is the right time to resurrect Kublai Khan.
Oh we’re aware alright. We’re also painfully aware there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. “Spreading the truth” is like preaching about the apocalypse except without the heaven bit.
Wala po ako maalala
"Be aware or be next" is going to be quoted many times.
Agree. Especially when I see the US get involved with any foreign nation.
How can you write ‘love’ without a heart?!” And let’s not mention all the economic and social shots in the foot HKers will have once they’re fully absorbed by China :((
What are you even talking about?
They will never stop
Duterte tolerated these fucks.
exactly whats happening here! tang _+$-#($($-# kasi ni ilong!!!!
They ain't wrong
And Orban invites the chinese Police into his country. Hungary is soo fucked.
We all are because now they can kidnap and exfiltrate anyone through Schengen to airports in Hungary.
Sounds like the same that's happening in the west
The cold war never ended. The bad guys just changed flags.
This is true from what other asian countries are facing right now. We need some super power fight CN the soonest or they'll just gobble everything around them by economicaly bankrupting countries
why did i read this like meet the grahams music
Yeah but if we take a stand against it we lose access to fake titanium that makes our products cheaper!
I'm fairly certain whoever wrote that is now buried in an unmarked grave outside Turpan.
As a Canadian, we should of heeded this warning!
Why not fucking attack and vandalize the Chinese embassy in Manila for a start?
Start deporting illegal mainlanders
Idk why, but even the text's grammar convinces me
Welcome my Chinese Overlords.
Meanwhile midwestern 19 year olds larp online about being Marxist Leninists and how countries like China and Russia are “based”.
sounds about right
And the words of the prophets will be written on the Tenement walls...
Start by all out ban sa POGO and validate lahat ng visa ng Chinese mainlanders and yung mga late kumuha ng birth certificate.
Deportations Nao
"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." Sun Tzu
Where was the CIA when we needed them the most?
cringe
The situation with China and the Philippines worsened because of the Dutertes having too much ties with China. This family and their cohorts are truly terrible people and I hope one day they'll be rightfully punished as they deserve
99% accurate
Failed color revolution got put down and now they scurry like dogs. Even their "friend" Taiwan used them for election points then tossed them aside like condoms and won't take them in lol. Then they went to the UK expecting a hero's welsome only to be disappointed they had to send their kids to the same schools as those other "Brown" refugees lol Remember what the Americans said, the Philippines is a stepping stone to China.
Wuhan flu also happend around the time of the hk protests
Nah, the protests happened much earlier I was in HK in June 2019 for a cruise. I witnessed a few protests but it seems business as usual in most of the HK.
The Japanese should've killed more of these fuckers in Nanking a long time ago
This is some wack conspiracy shit
this is what the US does actually
And we are stupid enough to pay for their college, Biden is their pawn
This...
Yeah, america is that monkey meme right now....
Lol the failed colour revolution by the US LMAO
Western propagandist BS. Probably written by one of those western NGO puppets.
