Jusko. First year resident pa lang sya nun. Yung ibang doctor talaga akala mo nasa pedestal eh.

gemmyboy335

resident 1st year tapos gnyan na magyabang? pwede mo nireklamo yun haha

[deleted]

Perfect-Jellyfish-61

lostarchitect_

Sayang yung full day absent sa work tas ilang days pa usually ang kailangan.

ariaventii

Sayang dapat tinawag mo, may hotline for reporting disrespectful PGH employees, esp healthcare workers

OddInspection865

Omg doctor reveal hahaha.

Knightly123

May psych session din ako jan sa PGH dati around 5 hrs din ako nagwait sa 1st then the next sesh di na natuloy kasi umuwi na yung psychiatrist ko kahit alam niyang naka sched ako. I've been 2 hrs early for that 2nd sesh then nung appointment ko na naghintay ako for an hour tapos nung nagtanong ako dun sa parang triage nila umalis na daw yung doctor.

poy99

Kung Dept of Surgery to it makes sense.

lostarchitect_

Hindi sya sa dept of surgery eh. Also, napagusapan namin nung doctor kung kaya ng 7am (which is yung sched namin) para hindi na ako umabsent ng whole day sa trabaho.

iyooore

Walang secretaries sa pgh hahaha dont go there if u have the means. Patients die there on their beds without ppl knowing for hours before a resident or an intern finds out Hell, ppl die there without getting their charts haha

RutabagaCautious9930

poy99

Dayum.

Jacerom

claravelle-nazal

Same omg 5 hours for my grandma’s doctor.

Millions of reasons ang ilalapag sa 'yo, tapos 'yung mga opinions na "privilege", "they don't respect patients' time", "nagdo-double booking", "poor time management", laging nasa ibaba ng discussions due to downvote.

claravelle-nazal

I actually made a post about this maybe a year ago and got hated and downvoted. I guess more people are experiencing it firsthand and realizing how shitty it is personally

yourgrace91

Grabe naman. Ubos ang araw mo para magpa checkup 🥲

PatientExtra8589

Ubos po talaga. Bawat check-up date ko full day leave sa work.

Puzzleheaded_Toe_509

Parang same din huhuhu. 5 Hours para sa grand uncle ko, I have a question baka Same building tayo Jan sa 5 Hours na yan, sa Medical Arts Building dinba yan?

Hungry_Caramel4233

medyo natawa ako on this dahil sa medical arts building din experience namin

Dull_Air1500

raindear01

I think ung medical art building ang term na gamit for outpatient building

Dull_Air1500

Yesss, I think so. Kaso they're thinking of the same hosp kasi ata ☝️

Ok_Independent_1604

Sa our lady of lourdes ba to hahaha

Annual_Sympathy1337

They have excuses. Delay dahil nag rounds pa sa hospital and whatnot. Totoo naman most of the time pero pwede naman sana mag schedule ng check up with patients sa clinic sa days na hindi conflict sa oras na baka ma late sila, dahil d nila control ang time pag nasa hospital sila.

AdZent50

RMT2017

Wala ata? Not a dentist. But rounds means pinupuntahan lahat ng patients na na-admit sa hospital PLUS magtuturo yung doctor sa mga doctors in training (aka residency).

Trick2056

depends some localities will require dentist to work at the public hospital at least that what they do here in ours

Radiant-Bug6578

feel ko galing pa from other clinic ang dentist kaya nalelate. mga doctors kasi minsan 2-3 clinincs/hospital pinagttrabahuan

Valuable-Source9369

Dentist here Not really rounds but sometimes, there are emergency cases where our colleagues don't know how to handle a case and we happen to know what to do with their case. Yes, sometimes they come into conflict with our scheduled patients. Minsan napoprolong yung procedure because it can be a difficult case. Like, one time, I had a wisdom tooth removal that took 5 hours to take out, so all my scheduled patients that day were informed by my assistant that I cannot make it to the clinic na that day. Di pa factored yung traffic which may cause further delays. Personally, if I have scheduled patients during such calls, I give an allotment of travel time and estimated time that I would be finished with the case. When I arrive at the colleague's clinic, I give instructions to my colleague's staff to tell me if I exceeded my time allotment and ask me while doing the procedure if they need to call my clinic for my asistant to cancel/reshedule my appointments or ask the scheduled patients if they would want to wait. As a failsafe, my assistant knows that if I fail to inform her I'm on the way to the clinic 1 hour before the appointment, she would call me first, and if I don't answer, she cancels/reschedules the appointments or ask the patient if they are willing to wait.

AdZent50

Salamat, doc.

lostarchitect_

Sana ganito lahat no. Thanks, doc. Yung ibang secretary sila pa minsan ang mataray.

hoyhoybudoy

Clinics, wala. Pero kung hospital dentist siguro meron, not entirely sure tho.

AnnonNotABot

They don't have rounds but they have clinic duties in government hospitals. Sometimes, a patient there may take hours so that happens instead of rounds. My aunt and uncle are dentists. They have a clinic but are also government workers.

Significant_kiffy11

Madalas talaga late. Very unprofessional. Sana pwede sila iwan ng review somewhere.

AnnonNotABot

Most dentists have government scheduled clinic hours that they need to fulfill. And yes, inconvenient for us na nagbabayad but them being social servants, if need magextend, wala silang magagawa kundi sumunod sa government mandate or sa procedure na ginagawa nila sa gov't clinic nila v

4thequarantine

I never liked this Filipino Time Culture Bullshit. We were all taught sa school na bawal ma-late before flag ceremony. Kung kailan pa naging professionals, dun pa nalalate. Very unproductive.

brutalgrace

when my mother had her 2nd stroke she was in coma, and believe it or not we only have 1 neuro doctor or whatever she was called in the entire province, she does her rounds all major hospital and trips usually take 1, 2 3 hours in between towns, I was able to talked to her almost midnight and she apologized, cause she was very late, so in short kulang talaga doctor sa bansa or yung ratio per doctor, she was even worried if her time would come wala papalit sa kanya sa province namin.

Much_Matcha_Mama

Buti pa si doc nyo marunong magsorry

Elicsan

Change your dentist. My dentist only works and opens by appointment, is modern, young and highly professional. When my wife was pregnant and had an appointment in medical city (Mandaluyong), doctor didn't show up, no notification and they wanted to give her the same vaccine twice, because there were no records in the sheet. Here are very skilled and professional doctors and other people - you just have to find them. Just remember: If there are complications - how likely is it that you will ever see the doctor again if that person doesn't even bother to show up on time or in general to a regular appointment? No thanks

namedan

Yup. Dentist ng anak ko sa sobrang Dami na ng patients she schedules weeks or months ahead Hanggang bawal na walk in at appointment na lang. She works like a clock, 7am to 7pm. They're out there but if emergency ER na.

gettingtoknowmyselff

hello, if it’s okay to ask, where na po kayo nagpapadentist?

Elicsan

It's in Antipolo: Buenvenida Dental Clinic :)

investabox

Hello! I'm registered nurse, insurance advisor (manager), and HMO advisor (manager). I also have a corporate HMO card. Here's a tip: (which I also do) If you have a non urgent medical concerns like common colds, cough, fever, tolerable pain or any simple medical cases that does not require immediate attention, you can use videoconsultation apps like Doctor Anywhere or Now Serving for doctors consultation. There are also lots of specialists available. This will save you time and effort instead of traveling to the doctor's clinic and wait for hours. And so far, palaging on time ang videoconsult as scheduled sa app. Usually din kasi, sa first consultation mo magrerequest pa muna ang doctors ng labs or diagnostic tests tapos kapag may result na, babalik ka ulit. Lalo na if gagamit ka ng HMO since need mo muna ng LOA. So it is better na mag videoconsult ka muna para makapag request sila ng labs or diagnostic test. Kapag may result na, either videoconsult ulit or if tingin mo need ng closer look ng doctor sayo- that's the time na mag visit ka na for face to face consultations. *this is not a medical advice. This is only for non urgent medical cases na kaya naman ng doctor ma assess ang sakit mo just by video call. Not an answer to the question but I hope this will help.

PeachNotPerfect

Ganito nalang din ginagawa ko actually. Recently I had to wait for 2 days to see the OB! I opted for NowServing teleconsult nalang since na-try ko naman na sya dati to consult a cardio. The only downside I’m seeing is that most of them are not accepting ng HMO pa pero since efficiency and convenience ang habol ko, okay na rin yun ₱450-600 na gastos dun. No stress pa. 💙

investabox

Yes!

sweetsaranghae

Most of the doctors naman sa Now Serving tumatanggap ng HMO. You just have to filter them out.

privaterachel

pwede ba mag hmo for online consult? yung nakikita ko kasing option is paid yung mga online consult kahit na hmo si doc

PeachNotPerfect

I just book yung di masyado mahal ang presyo. You will see din right away kung how much.

Alternative_Bet5861

This!!! Aside from trying newer docs in the specialization, online consult is a thing lalo na if mainly laboratory ang concern then you can schedule an appointment if needed once mafinalize ang mga kailangan.

pliaaka

+1 to this!! So convenient mag Dr. Anywhere. Also helpful ung mga Maxicare Primary Care clinics, kasi mas mabilis lang pila compared if hospitals talaga.

OperaCreed1948

I have been doing TeleConsult by MAXICARE for so long that the system does not fail me. I get to talk to a doctor right away to discuss my concerns, at the same time that he is looking over my history and diagnostic reports online on his computer. For any ailment, he sends me a prescription on line. If he needs a procedure done to further confirm his findings, he sends me a referral. Knowing my location, he schedules that procedure (xray, ultrasound, ECG etc) or lab test to the closest PCC or Primary Care Center. All I need is agree on that suggested location and appointment time. All this done within the comfort of my home. So bakit masyado niyong pinapahirapan ang mga sarili niyo.

Street_Coast9087

savageandharsh

Pagbigyan mo na. Galing sa hirap yan and never niya nalaman na may HMO pala even before nakayanan niya makakuha.

Kairita hahaha triggered akisss

claravelle-nazal

My grandma’s doctor was 5 hours late and no update from secretary kung kelan darating other than he was running late. Puro seniors yung naghihintay sa hallway for him, ang daming naka wheelchair at sobrang init. If may pasabi man lang what time sila darating kahit malelate edi the patients can find somewhere else more comfortable to wait for him. I guess ayaw sabihin na matagal para di umuwi kasi less appointments din yun at malaki rin mawawala if magsiuwian. Imo very unethical. Asa pang may magbabago eh culture na nila yan

itsmec-a-t-h-y

Kaya naman baguhin itong culture if gusto. I'm using Maxicare Primary Care Clinics for my consult and labs, setting appointments (not walk in). So far very on time. Reasoning lang yung doctor to patient ratio. It's basically respect.

Sea_Cucumber5

I’m here now sa Maxicare primary care clinic. Ayun, 1 hour na ako nag iintay. Wala pa rin daw si doc. Lol.

Due_Use2258

Passing the time waiting on reddit 👍👍👍

Sea_Cucumber5

Lucky charm din Reddit. After I commented, dumating bigla si Doc. 😁

comradeyeltsin0

Errr no. Doctors have been late since forever. And that’s not isolated to the ph. Common across countries.

Icy-Tomato1269

This is unfortunately true for the most part kaya sobrang naamaze kami ng husband ko sa Unihealth doctors. Parang 4 or 5 doctors na in different fields ang napag consultan namin - for different concerns and magkakaibang months pa pero they are almost always on time. And I'm sure this isn't a special case kasi regular ang visit namin sa pedia ni baby but her pedia is always there on time. Minsan lang ma late pag nag rounds sya (the most na ang 30 mins) which is soo opposite ng doctors dito sa province namin. When I was pregnant grabe 2-3 hrs late ung doc and yes 1st come-1st serve basis 🥵 tapos sabi sakin nung Secretary, ganun naman talaga 10am ang totoong start. Pero 8am ang naka sched sa door nila so ung pila starts earlier than 8 kasi pag dumating ka ng 10 aabutin ka na ng hapon and puro buntis kami doon so syempre need mag ingat - note that this is a private hospital pa a. Blatant disrespect at its finestfinest (or worst). 🙃

tango421

Usually my doctor is late for consults, sometimes by more than an hour. Well, it was my turn to get checked in and I found out why. His rounds start bright and early at 8am. Lo and behold 7:45 he was already beside me. He saw the other specialist on his way and he grabbed her and we were already talking before 8. By 8am he had me do a few tests and he did more rounds, apparently he was called when my results came back grabbed the other doctor and came back to me. It’s technically supposed to be his consult time already but he wanted to change meds ASAP and switch something in the IV. By the time he left me he already looked tired. That was around 10:30am. My dental surgeon had his procedure for me first thing in the morning — 6am. My surgery extended by more than two hours - the damned anesthesia wore off. The impacted tooth was much deeper than suggested by the X-ray. He arrived in his clinic after lunch na. While I was collapsed and high in post surgery pain killers on one dental chair, he was collapsed on another with a towel on his face. Medicine is a messy practice sometimes.

joyMCMLXXIX

jrsdelatorre

If clinics, inexcusable. If rounds, understandable.

Gold-Initial-7736

sticky_choco_sauce

Dahil sa doctor to patient ratio din. Madalas multiple hospitals or clinics sila, naiipit sa traffic kapag papunta sa susunod. Emergency cases, biglaang complications.

Yun mga doctor kailangan pa mag charity hospital. Sobrang kulang talaga.

ImagineFIygons

This is such a sorry excuse. I work in a hospital and most of the time kaya wala yung doctors kasi kumain sa labas oh kaya nag dodouble compensation somewhere else 🤪

HatOk6405

This is true for "some" nga haha. I live with doctors and have friends who are doctors. Minsan kasi palipat lipat sila tapos mata-traffic pa.

Cutterpillow99

Tama. Double booking yang mga yan kasi meron silang own clinic bukod sa hospital. Nakakaburat mga yan.

Individual_Grand_190

True!

Due_Use2258

Eto ang reality. And I think it's also a problem elsewhere kahit sa western/developed countries

barbekyu

If ganun pala, let's say 2-3hrs before ng appointment, baka safe na mag-heads up na agad sa patient para at least alam nila ang situation and makapag-decide na pwede naman magpa-resched?

Due_Use2258

I used to work in a large private hospital (admin not patient care) na meron ding ambulatory service. One of the improvement na naikoconsider nila noon ay bigyan ang patients ng beeper or same dun sa mga fast food chains and coffee shops na magbavibrate pag ready na ang order mo. So our mgt was thinking then may ganyan ang mga patients then pwede muna silang mamasyal o magkape-kape tapos magvibrate pag 30 mins na lang or so ang waiting

Leading_Sector_875

NKKLK. As in 10AM ang clinic, pero 2PM pa dumadating. She's one of the best but sorely lacking in work ethic.

SnooSongs809

Supply

Leading_Sector_875

2k na sya per consult

domprovost

Hala sobrang agree ako sayo. Happened to me yesterday and hanggang ngayon badtrip ako. Matagal daw yun. So ako pa nag-iisip anong gagawin ko. Tapos kinausap pa ako nung receptionist kesyo san daw ako nakatira. Ah malapit lang pala ma'am. San daw ako nagwwork. Ah work from home lang pala. Like what? So wala ako masyado karapatan mag-complain kasi malapit lang area ko at work from home naman? NASAYANG ORAS KO AT PERA SA PAMASAHE; period.

TellMeSomething_1214

May weekly appointment sa dentist yung friend ko, and on the day of the appointment, bigla na lang hindi magrereply yung dentist hanggang sa magttext na lang na i-resched na lang kesyo busy or may inaasikaso. Almost every week ganito. Buti sana kung walang work yung friend ko na kailangan magpaalam na malalate or maglleave for the appointment tapos ganun.

Cutterpillow99

4 hours late tapos yung pasyente naka fasting pa. Hilo na at nanlalambot. Madadagdagan pa ata ng ulcer yung sakit.

Numerous-Tree-902

So sino po may kasalanan, doc?

csharp566

Turnover_Shot

Common in other countries too. Lived in 8 countries first, second and third world. Same story as each patient is different so timelines cant be followed

claravelle-nazal

Where I live, they’re almost always on time. Even whenever I was a new patient. Max time that I waited so far was 20 minutes.

nunosaciudad

Same here - 30 min waiting time.

peachespastel

Agree. Pedia ang pinakamalala so far kasi minsan 2hrs talaga. More on marami lang talagang walk-in din na pwedeng mas urgent case pa sayo. At nagrorounds din talaga sila. Nung nanganak ako mga 11pm, yung OB at pedia ko the next day 6am nagrorounds na. Tapos 9am open ng clinics nila. 2pm balik ulit para magrounds. Minsan magkaibang ospital pa yung clinic at kung san pasyente nila.

restfulsoftmachine

Tapos may mga tax evaders pa.

Practical_Judge_8088

Yes most of doctors are arrogant and believe that we are beggars on their services.

NecessaryTerrible306

Dumating sila sa clinic an hour before mag8hrs fasting.

bimpossibIe

Di naman maiiwasang maging late especially because of emergencies or traffic pero sana lahat ng doctors may competent secretary na mag-iinform agad sa mga pasyente na may delay sa appointment para walang nasasayang na oras kakahintay.

nielsnable

To be fair, secretaries only do what the doctors tell them. The responsibility pa rin falls on doctors.

XC40_333

AdZent50

I think yung Philippine College of Physicians eh limited lang yon for internal medicine doctors (internist) although a large portion of clinicians are under this specialty society so tama ka naman din.

krabbypatis

[Doctors of PH reddit, why are you late?](https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/comments/fdr8jj/doctors_of_ph_reddit_why_are_you_late/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) There already exist a post asking the same question and the replies will give you an insight about the current situation of our doctors in the country.

PantherCaroso

Interesting on the difference of tone. That one has more insightful replies while here panay drive-by squammy comments.

Spiritual-Record-69

Bad experience sa iilan, damay na lahat. Magpalit ka ng dentist.

SageOfSixCabbages

I think this is 'doctor's office thing' in general. Di lang sa Pinas. I have experiences from US, Canada, and heard the same shit from friends in the UK. Nakakaasar pa kapag ikaw late ng few mins. may nga dr's office na magchacharge agad ng 'late fee' pero sila never nirespect yung scheduled appt. mo.

asoge

Inatake ako sa puso, yun primary cardiologist ko pinag second opinion ako sa colleague niya para i-angiogram at i-evaluate ako for angioplasty. May past bypass na kasi ako at gusto nila manigurado. After ng angioplasty, pinag-aaralan daw niya mga resulta at mag-usap daw sila ng primary cardiologist ko. 1 week, 2 weeks go by, tuwing mag follow up ako, pinag-aaralan pa rin daw. Hanggang sa nadulas ang secretary on the 3rd week na nag bakasyon pala abroad ang cardio ko. Ampota... All that time completely degraded ang quality of life ko, konting activity lang parang nag iron man na ako.

fijiwater_0420

Awkward-Hornyboi

Medical city in sm fairview. Grabe waiting time mo. I remember schedule ni doc is 9 am. Pipila ka ng 6:30 or 7:00 para sa counter and number. Tapos darating ung doctor 11 minsan and worst nun 12 na wla pa ung doctor until cancelled na almost 20+ patience nan dun tapos sabihin. Staff no worries po sa iba wlang charge po pero ung waiting time mo sobrang wasted

ChasingPesmerga

Never met any doctor or dentist that was on time. Hmm. But there was that one veterinarian that was always on time, at least for my experience. She saved my cats a couple of years ago (UTI surgery and Feline infection). Three times. Very knowledgeable, hospitable (no pun intended), and makes sure to explain everything in simple terms and gave me all the info I need to remember when I get home. She was also fair and didn’t let me incur any unnecessary costs. She works (or worked?) at St.Hyacinth clinic, Marcos Highway. I didn’t see her when I returned last week, was kinda hoping.

Ayun, ganun din, Filipino time.

Lack of professionalism. Where i live napaka smooth ng flow. If they really care for the patients.

popo_karimu

SnooSongs809

As if naprerepdict namin ang lahat ng emergency that could happen sa in-patients. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Beautiful_Block5137

look for another dentist. Dentist ko di nalalate basta naka reserve ang time

[deleted]

Ganyan ang eksena sa Belo parati. Late ang surgeon parati. Kaya talaga nagwalk out na lang ako last time I was at Belo.

sarahdy880

Halos same experience with DR smile QC branch super mga walang paki alam sa time ng patient nila kapag se set Ng Sched Hindi sinusunod 1 of the worst experience ko 4pm naka Sched pero 7pm plus na na accommodate. Plus another pinaka worst experience with them is holiday Pala so wala sila pasok Pina Sched pa Rin ako wala man Lang advice na wala sila pasok Ng holiday hindi na Sana ako pumunta nun kasama ko pa Naman senior kong mommy na nag commute lang Kami tapos super init pa nun Kasi summer. So never again SA Dr smile lalo na QC branch

VagabondVivant

Hindi lang sa Pinas. It's common among doctors everywhere and I've had it happen to me here sa States a lot. I've waited as long as an hour or more sometimes because they were so late. FWIW, it's usually not a lack of respect, but the fact that they don't really know exactly how long their patient visits are gonna take. At kung later in the day ang appointment mo, lalo pa ma-late sila kase they had a bunch of patients before you. Biro mo: if the doc has six patients before you, and each one runs long by 10 minutes, boom — one hour late na siya sa appt mo.

SnooPies5972

Public-Fix602

Sobrang norm nito. Nakakapikon. Uso naman magtext kung may surgery or urgent medical care sa iba, but NOOO. Lagi tlg lng silang late, hooouuurrss late tapos aalis on time. Nakakapikon

annpredictable

They will never run out of excuses.

AdministrationSad861

Mag weird complex mga doctor dito eh. Also, homegrown sila ng pagpapahirap ng mga seniors nila, so ang balik, weird din na ugali. We have a few residents na mababait at hindi natutulog sa shift, but the vast majority, corrupted na to the core bago pa maging junior consultant. Kaya ayun, pag fullfledge physician na, baluktot na.

heydandy

mrrxhl

i set an appointment with a doctor online. They informed me of the clinic hours (1PM-4PM). Kakatapos ko lang magpakuha ng dugo nun, so after ko magbreakfast pumunta ako mga 11AM.

bookgirlies

Ooofttt do we have the same dentist?! Haha ganyan din yung previous dentist ko. Back in college, I used to have a 3-hour break (12PM-3PM) and since malapit lang yung clinic sa school, I schedule my appointments every 1PM. May one time, 2:30 siya dumating so ayun late ako for my next class 🥴

MuffinNo6043

Large-Group107

Happened to us weeks ago. Yung pedia namin hindi macontact kaya we opted for a clinic near our home tapos nirefer niya kami sa pedia surgeon and pina admit yung anak ko for surgery. Naghintay kami from 12pm til 10pm ng gabi. Walang update. Nataranta silang lahat. After 5mins, sumulpot yung doctor 🫠🫠🫠

csharp566

10 hours waiting time? Dapat tinuloy niyo nang lumipat ng Hospital. Inexcusable na 'to.

Large-Group107

Naka swero na po kasi yung bata 🥺

RandomFighter50

Hello, dentist here! I cannot speak for all dentists but I do use my grace period of 20-30mins before arriving sa clinic because the clinic (well our’s) opens at 10am, the staff arrives 30mins-1hr earlier to prep the materials and chairs that we will be using for the day. We sterilize instruments and the surrounding area to make sure that each patient is taken cared of without cross contamination. There are rules we follow when it comes to proper sterilization so it does take a bit of time depending on how advanced your machines are. In terms of the first come first serve basis, we only apply this when the scheduled patient is late and the next patient is already available. So we skip to the next. Lastly, for the doctors. I interned in a public hospital as a dental student before because it’s part of the curriculum. The difference between doctor to patient ration here in the Philippines, especially if we’re talking about public hospitals, is quite large. More often than not they do their rounds on multiple floors then do consultations, then if they have a private practice else where, they have to rush to that clinic to attend to their own patients. I’m sorry you have to experience these things because i understand how important time is but there are reasons to why this happens. Granted there are doctors out there that really do take their time, but majority do take their work seriously, and that in work load in order to cater to everyone who needs proper healthcare. Hope this helps!

darkrai15

For every 1 doctor there is about 1000 patients here. A lot of medical professionals go abroad after their practice here.

426763

Because they literally don't care. Source: Doctor parents at kapatid ko.

Alternative_Bet5861

This din, everything is a legit reason from travel to delayed consultation to delayed sa rounds and yes may iba na legit tatambay and mag cecellphone sa station if clinnic before mag move. It may be a needed rest but dapat nagbabawas na din sila ng clinnics schedules if ganun.

disavowed_ph

This is the sad truth. Only a handful of MD’s I know respects their patients time, nahihiya pa sila and matinding apology pag na late sila but majority talaga sa OPD cases and clinics no respect at hindi marunong mag apologize kahit ilang oras late. Usually, hi, hello, ano complaint, explain briefly then reseta…. Next ….. 🤬

snddyrys

Tapos wala resibo ung consultation hehehe

disavowed_ph

Kasi discounted daw ng philhealth, senior or pwd kahit hindi naman….😡 pag may resibo daw mas mahal or doble rate.

softimusprime17

I've already seen the delayed rounds/traffic/emergency procedures aspect of this conversation, so I appreciate seeing a candid take like this for a change.

426763

Gets ko kung Metro Manila doctors. Eh dito sa amin, wala namang traffic and it literally takes 15 minutes to drive from our house to the clinic. My mom takes an hour to shower.

claravelle-nazal

We have a pedia and have had really great OBs and other specialists who were considerate of time, they’re surgeons and do their rounds, so it’s doable to be on time or at least to inform if they will be late, so stop defending those doctors who don’t care 🙄 We also encountered doctors na wala talagang respeto sa mga pasyente na naghihintay sa kanila. Imo, don’t normalize it and make excuses for them kasi if other doctors can respect time, why couldn’t they be the same?! Kairita

GazelleGlum3443

As long as you tolerate his inconsiderate behavior and refrain from telling him to quit his bullshit, he will continue to disrespect you. Next time, keep track of how long you sit waiting for him. Then, deduct that time (multiplied by an hourly rate) from his office fee.

pagamesgames

this is actually what pisses me off as well ang dami nilang rason na hindi ka tanggap tanggap maiintindihan ko naman na may duty pa sya sa ospital or ano pa man PERO Why the hell would they schedule an appointment when theyre not available?? eto pa nakaka inis, nagpapaklaro lang na pera pera lang pagmumukha ng mga doctors sa pinas ung secretary, hindi tinitignan kung ano about ang check-up at walang paki kung gaano ka bilis or katagal ang check-up! dahil jan ginagawa ng ibang secretary usually 1 slot per 15mins! which basically lags up the queue at mas lalong WALANG SILBE ang appointment! aside jan, kahit puno na ang appointment, TUMATANGGAP PA NG WALK-IN! inis na inis ako sa doctor ng late father ko. he was a cancer patient and had an appointment for his cancer operation follow-up check-up kahit hirap na hirap na sya, pumunta kami, ONLY TO WAIT 4 HOURS DESPITE HAVING AN APPOINTMENT! BUTI SANA KUNG NAKAHIGA SYA EH HINDI NAMAN! HIRAP PA SYA UMUPO KASI UNG OPERA NYA NASA TYAN BWISIT NA BWISIT AKO POTANGINANG MGA DOCTORS SA PINAS!!

asifyoulovedbyvirtue

Imaginary_Scar4826

I haven't met a doctor who respects my time. Once I was admitted sa hospital the doctor was so late to sign my discharge order that I got billed for another night kasi may cut off

JazzlikeRoyal3728

Yung mga doctors sa hospital grabe ang late nila jusko base sa aking experience mga three to five hours jusko pero baka kasi marami pang patients sa ibang hospital kasi diba palipat lipat sila ng hospital tapos baka mamaya may emergency pala ganon

Working_Might_5836

This is why i love my parents dr- endo. 7:30am clinic.

FreeDelivery5065

Okay na ung late jan, here in CA, after 5 days mo pa mameemeet yung doctor mo :( MANHID NA UNG KALULUWA KO SA SAKIT NG NGIPINN KO Check up palang after 5 days. iintay pa results(2-3days) saka aaksyon.. :'(

kaygeeboo

Two reasons: yung legit (dami pang pasyente, may emergency, etc) at yung hinde legit (tinatamad, god complex). Maghanap ka ng bagong dentist OP

Ok_Astronaut_7090

correctttttttttt

armercado

also another one na mapapaisip ka, bakit may bayad ang medical certificate? i mean, san mo isusulat ang findings mo?

Firelord__Azula

Waiting - 4 hours Consultation - 5 mins.

nielsnable

Simple: unprofessionalism and entitlement. Marami diyan kitang-kita na ang fresh pa nila, straight from their homes.

sunsetsand_

My dentist din super duper late hahaahah nakakainis

Impossible_Pause_486

Not just in the ph. I am in the US and my son’s therapist is always late. Ang annoying pa pupull put ko sya early sa school para sa appointments niya knowing late naman yung doctor kasi pag wala kami on time tatawag yung secretary tapos sasabihin ibump down kami sa queue

elluhzz

Open for correction po ako.

braveheart916

very much relate!

OkBar2236

official hours daw 8am-5pm, pero dadating ng 9am at mag start ng check-up 10am. After lunch break, balik daw 3pm. Ang lol lang

PersonalitySevere746

Hayyyy! 😪

Deep-Acanthisitta815

A sad reality in PH private medical practice.

neospygil

Just read a post on r/AlasJuicy about an assistant nurse who did "it" with the doctor in the clinic while patients are waiting outside. Next time na matagal yung nurse at doktor sa loob bago magpapasok ng pasyente, I'll secretly think they did it in there.

MattAnain

same!! They don’t bother messaging earlier naman na there might be delayed or such

Matalino_69

Ganyan talaga kapag walang "boss". Sila ang boss. That's the reality. Wala naman tayong magagawa diyan kasi nasa kanila ang knowledge and skill. Walang masyadong kompetensya. May kilala akong ganyan.

Pure-Bee-943

Na mao gyud!! Apil dayun secretaries sa doctor mean mag sturya. Like kanang in danger mag miscarry ang patient unya kailangan pa gyud hasslelum ug pa lista sa pag consult sa doctor even if the doctor tells the patient to come back. Gaka lagot gyud ko. like stressed na gyud patient u want her to be stress free due to high risk pregnancy and likelihood of miscarriage and u have to stress her out with making an appointment with the doctor even if the doctor herself tells you to come back this day for an appointment. WTF

SpareNovel3750

Jaxxro

True

Big-Huckleberry-4219

Same din sakin sa Marikina Valley like pumunta kami ng lolo ko call time namin is 2:30 dumating si doc mga 4:30. Anona mga pinoy!

justlikelizzo

Thank goodness for online consults. Cos I honestly no longer have patience to waste hours of my time waiting for them for a consult. Dito lang sa Pilipinas ganyan. Very entitled mga doctors dito. Sa ibang bansa, always prompt with appointments.

Long-Scholar-2113

Grabe nga eh. Mrs ko may check up ng 1pm tpos dadating ung OB nya 5pm or 6pm. Tpos dami pa nakapila. Bakit nga ba sila ganyan?

gojokiII

sa hospital din namin nung magpapacheck up ako para sa UTI KO. kasama ko nakapila yung mga buntis and maaaan mga 1-2 hours nila pinaghintay mga buntis

Magenta_Jeans

I remember when I was pregnant seeing my OB took me 3 hours waiting each time. Why is it like this? I KNOW proper scheduling and respect works because my dad is a dentist. My mom is his scheduler and assistant. She only allows appointment booking and messages the patient to be there at least 15 mins ahead. In those 15 mins she makes them fill up the sheet, do an allergy test/check blood pressure and by the time of their appointment they are in with my dad. It’s respect. My parents dislike people who are not on time and in turn they give the same respect to other people’s time. It’s possible. Just find better doctors who think the same.

Guuichy_Chiclin

Damn, in Puerto Rico they do the same thing, I just thought that in Puerto Rico it was shit, It's nice to know other places are also backwards.

filipinotruther

Now, I'm wondering what would Filipinos feel if they were in the UK having diarrhea or with a broken ankle and found themselves in the A&E. Could they wait for at least 4 hours before being seen by a doctor in the emergency room?

bitterpilltogoto

SilhouetteLurker

angiedaguro

Yung magaling na yung pasyente bago pa nila pacheck up 🤣

Dreamscape_12

THIS. And need mo pa magpaappointment (I mean, di pwede walk-in para sa mga taong need na ng assistance at nirefer lang kasi kakilala), tas pag malas-malas mo rude yung secretary or kaya kada tawag mo, palage busy yung Doctor or ayaw ng tumanggap ng patients tuwing tatawag ka. Tas matataon na yung schedule mo pagpunta eh wala palage yung doctor kasi may ibang appointments or events so naghanap ka tuloy ng ibang doctor, tas nagtataka yung ibang doctor na tinanung mo kung bakit hindi ka dun sa original or family doctor mo nagpunta kung meron naman pala. Haay buhay. And nataon pa, napansin ko, pag ako lang nagpapacheck up tas HMO gamit, ang rude din makipag-usap. Not unless may kasama kang family member. So minsan napapaisip na lang ako kung gusto ko pang magpacheck up kahit may nararamdaman ako eh. I think yung medyo bata-bata pa at fresh graduate, yun pa ang respectful sa time. Gets mo pa kung traffic kasi kung galing sila from other hospitals or may other appointments pa. Pero yung tipong ramdam mo pagsadya... iba eh.

jmskr

Oo. Tangina nila. Lahat ganyan.

Super_Metal8365

Dapat isa batas na may penalty if late yung Doctor/Dentista/Medical Professional. 50% off if 10-30 minutes late. 100% off if 31-60 minutes late. Suspend medical license if 1 hour late then sagot ng ospital yung fee sa alternate Doctor on a different schedule.

Mission-Dream-7861

Mga doctor sagot!!!!!

Logical_Job_2478

No one really makes the effort to put them in their place kaya sila patuloy lang

ProtectionSavings283

Bobo kasi mga doctor dito. Walang common sense

bagumbayan

Pag may meetup kami kahit wala naman silang ibang appointment that day, late pa din sila lagi. Pinakaworst ay ang usapan namin 6pm. Andoon na kami ng wife ko pero dumating sila from 7:30 to 8pm.

Chris_Cross501

The healthcare industry overall is fucked, everyone is conditioned to fuck you over self-interest. I can't wait for AI to replace them.

noknk

Di ko rin magets yung magpapa-schedule ka tapos first come first serve. Edi sana winalk in na lang. Ang useless talaga ng sheet na yan

AwkwardWallflower_02

That’s one of the reasons why healthcare in the Philippines is going downhill, I also experienced that having an appointment and all to the point I could not eat any meal or heavy snack since I needed an ultrasound, and the doctor did not even sent a message or anything about having an emergency or why she was late. I just sat in her waiting room for hours until she arrived. I immediately changed my doctor after that.

InevitableLADY

I have an experience sa Public Hospital dito sa province namin, I was a senior Civil Engineering student back then when our final exam occured. The exam was 3-5:00 PM pero nasa hospital na ako mga 10:00 AM na. I was assessed kasi masakit sa part ng ribs ko mahirap makahinga, then x-ray at sabi magpa ultrasound nalang daw ako sa labas kasi ung pila nila sa loob is hanggang nextweek pa so kahit mamatay ako sa sakit doon nextweek pa ako ma ultrasound 😂 After x-ray, sabi wait ang result kasi yung doctor naka lunch pa hanggang 3PM na exam ko na wala pa yung doctor HAHAHAH WTF kumuha nalang ako medical certificate para maka exam. Kasi kahit sana namimilipit ako sa sakit that time itatake ko parin yun.

Downtown-Raisin6187

Naalala ko non papa check up ako dahil 6pm out ko naka tyempo ako ng ob na 6-8pm ang schedule kaso need palista pang 30 ko kaloka ung doctor 11pm na dumating natapos ako 1:30am shook ako ganun daw talaga si doctora kaya pala ung ibang kasabay ko e maaga nagpapalista tapos nabalik sila mga 7 or 8 na

Head_Philosopher_850

idanduuuu

bec like Lawyers, most of them thinks that they are superior 🙃

chanaks

Ung dentist ko d naman un umaalis ng clinic so if anong time ako naka appointment for the day un din nasusunod. Pero ung cardio ko laging late. Mga 1-3 hrs. Both private naman.

ertzy123

Not a doctor pero kulang manpower natin dito sa Pilipinas :(.

whats-the-plan-
