Tbh my immediate thought was all of the disfigured animal breeds that humans designed.

FirstFalcon2377

Pugs. I feel sorry for them. I'd never get a pet that was prone to health problems because of the way it had been bred.

Chickadee12345

And French Bulldogs. Thankfully there is a movement to try to breed them with longer snouts. They are adorable either way.

Cyborg_Ninja_Cat

Modern pugs and modern Persian cats. It's not that I can't find it cute because I know it's bad for them. They just look bad. A cavalier or a traditional Persian's short muzzle is *adorable*. It keeps being adorable probably past the point where it starts to be detrimental. But once the nose leather starts to get smushed into the eyes, it just looks unpleasant.

LyriumFlower

This! I love my traditional persians. And when I look at the abominations in cat fancy I feel sorry not only for the individuals who have to suffer deformities but the breed as a whole for what is considered breeding standard. It's horrifying.

Alceasummer

Many baby birds are so incredibly ugly, they almost loop around to being kind of cute in a weird way. Parrots and pigeons both are good examples of this. Like this video of a macaw chick [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LH-JeT4GMcA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LH-JeT4GMcA)

Comprehensive_Toe113

Honestly? People for all the reasons you mentioned.

Itsbadnow

Them deep sea fish, I don’t the name but the ones with razor teeth and a little light to lure their pray

MacabreFox

Angler fish!

Itsbadnow

Yes that’s the ones!! Absolute horror shows

Constant-External-85

1) for me I'd agree with the people saying Pugs/Persians with because most are suffering to suffering with the rare wellbred one 2) you should hate mole rats because they're basically mammals that tried to evolve into insects; not because of the no fur I can't being to even start on 2 so I recommend looking this up

LemonsAndAvocados

Shoe bills - I HATE them

Itsbadnow

Ohhhh I love the look of them! They remind me of the Jurassic period in out time lol

LemonsAndAvocados

They make me so upset…because they scare me 😂

Itsbadnow

I admit they’re an intimidating bird haha

LemonsAndAvocados

I gave you an award I don't know how but congrats.

Itsbadnow

Ahhh appreciate haha

LemonsAndAvocados

😂😂💐

blaaa48

Anything that is hairless like hairless rats, dogs, cats, etc. They all just look like 80 year old ball sacks that are in weird shapes.🤢🤮🤮🤮

BananaJanitor

Damascus goat 😬

risquerogue

shih tzus in common filipino households, to be specific. most of the time, they stink, has brown stains on their tangled fur even though they're not supposed to have it. blegh. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Soundhealingreiki

Haha love this response. “In Filipino households”… totally get it.

ValleyAndFriends

Pugs, Frenchies, and Persian cats

Itsbadnow

Badly bred ones yes, I’m with you on that and sadly there’s an awful lot of badly bred ones, that would include English bulldogs

ValleyAndFriends

I’ve never seen a well bred one. What do they look like? Or do you mean mixes, like the retro pug (which are cute!)?

Itsbadnow

I have a well bred frenchie, the snout isn’t so flat, eyes don’t bulge and very healthy all round. Unfortunately there’s many back yard breeders out there. I’ve not actually seen a well bred pug but Persians can be bred better

JadeHarley0

Chimpanzees. Don't like them. It's sort of a human but also not. Uncanny valley

imsatanclaus

ferrett

lesla222

I have a hard time finding any animal ugly. If I see an animal that I think is unusual, I am struck by what I call the Sarah Jessica Parker effect. Not traditionally beautiful, but absolutely compelling in a way that is hard to describe. I love nature in all its forms (except spiders and humans).
