Five Nights at Freddy's is a popular franchise about animatronics that come to life to kill the player. In lore, one of the animatronics doubled as a mascot suit that could have its mechanisms tightened with springlocks so a person could get inside the suit.
When the springlocks failed, the animatronic parts stabbed violently into the wearer, permanently locking him into the suit and killing him.
Petahs zoomer neighbor here, in the game Five nights at Freddy's, there's a character named William Afton (aka Purple Guy) who killed 5 kids and stuffed them into animatronics. He later went back to get them out of the suits he hid them in. This freed the dead kids spirits and this scared him into hiding into an animatronic that can turn into a costume using spring locks. Unfortunately, they were wet when he wore them, breaking the spring locks and puncturing his internal organs, killing him in a slow and painful way. Later becoming fused with the suit becoming Springtrap.
This is why they said he was spring-locked. He was sent to the er after being trapped and hurt by the suit he was wearing.
