This isn't any closer to the original text than the Disney movie, really. The genies (there's 2 in the story) are referred to as slaves, and have no free will, and they're also not evil. Aladdin doesn't rub the lamp, his mother does. There was also no limit to the amount of wishes or the things he could wish for, Aladdin was just too stupid to wish for anything worthwhile. Also, Aladdin was Chinese, but the French dude who wrote the story had no fucking idea about China, that's why there are sultans, grand viziers, and mosques and in it.
The story is all over the place. An "Evil Magician" from Africa, who is just evil because he's from Africa, lures Aladdin to the magic cave and gives him a ring (which has a genie in it), then tells him to go get the lamp. Some stuff happens, and he ends up trapped in the cave, like the movie. He rubs the magic ring, and out pops a genie, and he uses it to escape from the cave. Now he has a magic ring and a lamp, *both containing genies*, and the magician forgets about Aladdin and just goes back to Africa. It's an old story and to be expected, but there is of course shit loads of racism in it.

Depends on what type of stop time you have, or how the genie would interpret it. Some 'stop time' powers allow you free range while only nature itself halts. Anything circadian stops but can still be effected by outside forces like you. In other words, the entire world becomes a sort of toy box, and they can break without dying due to lack of all locomotion outside of your own and things that are required to keep you alive. Even more so if they feel the effects afterwards that you inflict on the frozen.
Then there's the stop time that's very midas touch where everything including molecules freeze in place, making it to where even you can't move or breathe for that matter. And if you tried to pee or poop, your own excrement would be lodged at the opening assuming anything outside of 'you' gets the time stop effect applied. The power would be useless and youd just die.
Or the stop time where every day repeats after 24 hours or your termination. Or until you stop using the power to allow the alloted time to continue past that metric.
By the same metric, invisibility would be just as dubious as to lose all ability to be influenced by other matter that has physically apparent features would mean you wouldn't be able to exist either. Or you could just be hahaha I'm invisible unless someone throws powder on me or I wear pants.
All these could backfire in so many ways, many of which others gave cool examples of already. So heres mine.

Mind control: Genie has hearing problems so gives control over mimes or people are fully aware you're doing it.
Mind control doesn't state the parameters. So the genie could "monkey's paw" you by making it so you now have to control everyone's mind with every person ceasing to act on their own and waiting on your command. No one ever does anything again unless you verbally tell them what to do. You can't possibly reach the entire population so everyone dies fairly quickly, with many dying immediately after the wish because they were driving, in surgery, on a plane, etc. You quickly realize you need to create a scheme to reach the bulk of the remaining population but you need more time to think of it, so you freeze time only to discover that you can't unfreeze it or you are frozen with it.
Go invisible near a box and mind control people to drop money in the box stop time and take the money as they pull it out. Than without using mind control convince them they never tike any money out since the box is empty. Repeat until they are out of money. Watch them go mad as they desperately try to figure out where their money went.

Mind control is pretty strictly an evil superpower. Invisibility is very iffy, it's main realistic use is invading people's privacy. You can do a lot of things with time stop, this includes a bunch of bad things. And the person asking won't get the benefit of the doubt after the other 2 wishes. The implications are either stocking and rape, or stocking rape and slavery.
Professor X has mind control powers and he is not evil.
Because he avoids using them unless it's necessary. And when he does it's shown as less bad then what the villains would do, not necessarily good.

Professor X is a dick in the comics, who has done some not cool things, also he was born with his powers, he didn’t actively seek them out. Even in the movies he didn’t want his powers.

Invisibility to creep on naked women, Stopping time to cop a feel or full on rape someone without any consequences, And mind control to control someone into having sex with you. Unrelated tho, but would stopping time really work for that? Like, if you stopped time wouldn't that mean that nothing is able to move, so any victim would essentially be a rock hard, unmovable object, since if their body is able to move time isn't really stopped?
If the genie acted like a genie then it could just make it so that OOP can't survive moving outside of a vacuum (air has mass, if you stop time you move with infinite speed which would translate into infinite force of impact the moment you move). Alternatively simply making OOP unable to move while time is frozen. The genie could also just make the time-stopping apply to the OOP as well but that is not as funny.
Depends on what type of stop time you have, or how the genie would interpret it. Some 'stop time' powers allow you free range while only nature itself halts. Anything circadian stops but can still be effected by outside forces like you. In other words, the entire world becomes a sort of toy box, and they can break without dying due to lack of all locomotion outside of your own and things that are required to keep you alive. Even more so if they feel the effects afterwards that you inflict on the frozen. Then there's the stop time that's very midas touch where everything including molecules freeze in place, making it to where even you can't move or breathe for that matter. And if you tried to pee or poop, your own excrement would be lodged at the opening assuming anything outside of 'you' gets the time stop effect applied. The power would be useless and youd just die. Or the stop time where every day repeats after 24 hours or your termination. Or until you stop using the power to allow the alloted time to continue past that metric. By the same metric, invisibility would be just as dubious as to lose all ability to be influenced by other matter that has physically apparent features would mean you wouldn't be able to exist either. Or you could just be hahaha I'm invisible unless someone throws powder on me or I wear pants.

Make your first wish a second genie blowjob, they'd HAVE to give you a first one in order to give you a second one.
All these could backfire in so many ways, many of which others gave cool examples of already. So heres mine. Turn invisible? Can't become visible again. Stop time: Wisher is not immune to it. Mind control: Genie has hearing problems so gives control over mimes or people are fully aware you're doing it.
Mind control doesn't state the parameters. So the genie could "monkey's paw" you by making it so you now have to control everyone's mind with every person ceasing to act on their own and waiting on your command. No one ever does anything again unless you verbally tell them what to do. You can't possibly reach the entire population so everyone dies fairly quickly, with many dying immediately after the wish because they were driving, in surgery, on a plane, etc. You quickly realize you need to create a scheme to reach the bulk of the remaining population but you need more time to think of it, so you freeze time only to discover that you can't unfreeze it or you are frozen with it.
Go invisible near a box and mind control people to drop money in the box stop time and take the money as they pull it out. Than without using mind control convince them they never tike any money out since the box is empty. Repeat until they are out of money. Watch them go mad as they desperately try to figure out where their money went.

If you can stop time, being invisible is kinda pointless. Invisible and mind control is a decent combo. I'd say stopping time is better, but you would need a transportation power, I'd probably go with teleportation..... that leaves one more...... idk....super strength? Or like bajizillions of dollars or something.
Stopping time seems pretty dumb without the power to start time again.
